Davidoff gets a dose of sunshine

It’s been a long time since premium cigar tobacco has been grown in Florida. But back in 2011 Jeff Borysiewicz started growing on a farm in Clermont, Central Florida and 7 years later we have some uniquely robust and flavorful leaves with fresh aromas. Drew Estate took notice first and released Florida Sun Grown back in 2017. Now, in Davidoff’s never ending quest for new cigar experiences, they have found themselves experimenting with this new Florida Sun Grown tobacco as well. 

Dubbed Davidoff Florida Selection Limited Edition 2018, it comes wrapped in a dark Ecuador Habano 2000 leaf. Underneath is another earthy Habano leaf from Jalapa, Nicaragua that secures the blend. The core is a mixture of intense Dominican Yamasa ligero, some sweeter Dominican grown tobaccos, spicy Nicaraguan, and of course the robust Florida Sun Grown. The result is a spicy-sweet, medium to full-bodied cigar that boasts flavors of licorice, fruit, oak, honey and some spice.
