La Gloria Cubana Serie R

One of my favorite smokes. Love the aroma and burn rate. Never had a canoe burn either. Smoke it at your leisure without worrying about having to kickstart it with more flame to keep it burning right. Goes with scotch, beer or bourbon as well which makes it a top notch smoke while being reasonably priced too.

The Series R is a favorite of mine. The No. 5 is good but others in the series are much better. A decent smoke though.

A good big ring choice.

Absolutely love the Serie R. Smooth smoke with bold flavors. Even burn all the way to the nub. This cigar is a great smoke for the beginner, but will also hold its own with an aficionado. I love the No. 5 because it is a 45-60 minute smoke that pairs well with your favorite Scotch or Bourbon. I prefer Johnny Walker Blue Label when I smoke mine. Enjoy!

Nice consistent smoke

A great Maduro smoke. Medium to full body smoke with a little sweetness. If you love Maduro cigars this is a must try.

Fantastic smoke. Cocoa, coffee, earth. These are some of the cigars I give to GOOD friends when they come over.

I ordered a box of the series R no 3s and have only smoked a few but this far about 25% have a hard draw and can wear you out to smoke. The other 75% are delicious!!!

Love the taste

These are not for the faint of heart! This is a STRONG cigar. Very pleasurable smoke don't get me wrong. Good burn smooth thick smoke. Only reason for the 4 star is several out of a five pack were a little tightly rolled for my preference.

These cigars were very good quality and construction. They all burned evenly and were a pleasant experience to smoke. The Maduro wrapper gave an excellent, mellow flavor that had a coffee taste and earthy aroma. I’ll be purchasing these again.

I will always have this cigar in my humidor...Ecuador Sumatra is the wrapper for me...and I love this size...another cigar I will always have in my humidor...

Of the La Gloria I like like these the best. Smooth smoke. I prefer Maduro wraps over most. Will Differently buy again.

Nice body burns even

I rate LGC Serie R No. 5 Black Maduro as an excellent smoke. I recently got a 5 pack with an upgrade when I purchased an 18 cigar box of Serie R No. 5 Black. This cigar comes closest to revealing the taste of Hershey’s special dark cocoa than any cigar I’ve ever tried. I’m not good at picking out the subtle flavors but I’m sure there’s a pleasantly bitter hint of toasted malt and bread that pops up in the second inch and plays peek-a-boo to the last inch and a half. I think I tasted, faintly, notes of charred fruit and spice that I would expect on a piece of meat off the grill…black pepper, orange peel, and clove. But these were very faint and mixed with a bit of a woody flavor and leather. The use a punch and I find the draw to be consistent and generous from a tight and sturdy feeling cigar. It burns “properly” and holds a thick, hard, white 2 inch ash that I can feel hit the grass when it falls off and doesn’t crumble when it lands. I don’t get tobacco bits in my mouth from the delicious and chewy maduro wrapper. The first time, the last time and every time this has been the same cigar and I recommend it with my highest appreciation. Though I’ve been smoking cigars for a while now, I still consider myself a new guy when it comes to reviewing a cigar.

Always quality made, good even burn and easy draw withiut being too loose. I prefer the larger gauges but they are all a good smoke for the money.

Draw was a little hard initially but became better. Great smell and finish

Some uneven burn but overall a good cigar. I do prefer the Serie R Black.
