Boutique Blends La Boheme

This new offering hits all the right notes.

La Boheme is a grand addition to a line that needs no introduction. From Boutique Blends, the team behind the #1 non-Cuban cigar of the year, La Boheme takes its name from Giacomo Puccini’s distinguished 1895 opera. Which happens to be Boutique Blends owner Rafael Nodal’s favorite work of Puccini’s. La Boheme emerges with enough class to match its refined taste and its ornate presentation is as striking as the Sydney Opera House itself.

The blend starts softly, with well-aged Dominican long-fillers before slowly growing in strength. Gradually, the exquisite Ecuadorian Habano wrapper brings the mixture together, producing a truly enjoyable medium to full-bodied experience that’s layered with rich notes of coffee, wood, nuts, cream, and caramel.

Very limited production to ensure a high quality product. So when you see em’ – snag em’!

La Boheme received Top 25 honors for 2015 (#12 overall) and a 94-rating noting: "The combination of Ecuadoran Habano wrapper and Cuban-seed tobaccos has all the dynamic range of an operatic performance, hitting baritone notes like earth and ripe fruit, all the way to bright soprano tones of spice, ending with a midrange nutty finish."

La Boheme Pittore
Excellent stick from the start. Lots of smoke throughout. The burn was perfect all the way. A bit of leather and smooth. Retro Hale was also smooth with a touch of sweet leather and cinamen. Builds up body half way through but not a strong cigar. A must try.

La Boheme Pittore
These cigars were awful.. It wasn't the construction but the taste. There's good dominican tobacco and there is bad. This is loaded with the bad. Just has a bad taste. Buyer beware..

Excellent!
The La Boheme Pittore is perfectly rolled with a beautiful wrapper with just the right sheen and has a flawless burn. The flavor reminds me of a smooth scotch. This cigar goes on my list, maybe at the top. Thanks to CI for offering this great deal. Now that I'm hooked I may have to buy a box!

Tali-banned Cigar Aficionado Club RS Chapter featured cigar 15Jun18
Smooth start with delicate tobacco flavors, medium bodied and tasty, subtle flavors that increase and improve as the smoke proceeds. This was a crowd pleaser at our 120-person meeting.

Very nice cigar. An even burn and a nice draw.

Not bad
Well constructed but one dimensional. Dark chocolate dominates the cigar. More of a winter smoke for me.

Picked this one up just because CI offered a great deal. I have to say it is wonderful! Very smooth taste, good construction and a thick oily wrapper.

Decent smoke.
These burn long and slow. Nice even burn with a good draw. They make for a good evening smoke with a libation or a cup of coffee.

A Symphony
Almost a five but not quite there yet. Good construction, smooth draw, cool smoke. A very pleasant cigar until the very end when it becomes a bit harsh. To be fair, it only spent a few days in the humi. Give it more time to rest and develop. Overall, a very good cigar.

Bitter...
Initial taste was very bitter. I'm not a big IPA fan so this was too much for me.

Pleasant surprise
They were on a deal, so I took a swing. This cigar is nicely made, draws well, and has a consistent flavor from start to finish. No rough edges.

Great cigar!
Balance of flavor and strength with enough complexity to keep it interesting. Maybe not something I'll smoke early in the day... If you can find a deal, it's a stone cold killer!

I should've bought a box... or two.
One of the best cigars I've had in years -- and I should have bought more of the Poetas and Pittore when they were in stock. (Haven't tried the other 2 sizes, as I typically prefer something in the medium ring gauges. I'm sure they're wonderful, though.)
Customer Testimonials
What he said. I took in the aromas from this wrapper and foot and got goose bumps. The tagline about picking these up if you see them is spot on. If you like the Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, then you have to try this wonderful and delightful little surprise. Simply an amazing cigar.
Very easy to light. Excellent construction, draw, and burn. Voluminous smoke output that is dry on the palate. Medium to full strength with medium to full flavors. Initial blast of spice and hot pepper throughout. Once cigar settles at first third, flavors of heavy cream, nuts and sweet cedar dominate up front with only a fading spice and pepper on a medium to long finish.
