Received today. I’ve had two so far and both drew very hard and tight for the first two thirds. Loosened up a bit the last third. The flavor is good however. The wrapper is a gorgeous, nearly black leathery specimen. The (shipping) weather is super cold here in the northeast now, so I’ll let them relax in the humidor a few weeks and try again.

I think this brand and, specifically, this maduro blend in the offerings within this line is the greatest value and best kept secret in the cigar world. True bang for buck but not a cheap tasting smoke. Burns well and nice flavor. This is my fourth box. I try the different sizes each time. The 60-gauge gordo is different from the 52-gauge robusto. Smaller seems to be a slightly sweeter and a little more cacao. Larger is a little darker and more earthy. Both are great and I generally gravitate towards larger-gauge cigars, but in this case I think the .52-.54 is the best flavor profile; dark earth and cacao, hints of brazil nuts, black tea and moist leather.
