HUMI-CARE HX10 Crystal Gel Rectangle Humidifier

Excellent product. I have used this item for many years with much success in my humidor. I highly recommend it.

Great humidifier. Easy to charge, don't leave it in the water too long because the beads expand just like in the cups we all used for years, this is the same thing except it takes up less real estate in your humidor and it will humidify 200 sticks by itslef by my experience with no problem for 90+ days between recharges. You do have to check to be sure it isn't over humidifying depending on the type of box. I have noticed the CBros long term humidors and sealed acrylic tupperdores will go a little high on humidity sometimes upwards of 75%rh all the way up to 80%rh if the box doesn't breathe and is sealed. Easy enough humicare makes a slimline and the best of all time the black ice pie cups that separate so buy a few of each and experiment until you get it dialed in because I bought everything they make. . . cigar sticks, slimlines, this rectangle, black ice in both sizes and I've been relying on the old blue cups for years. I had fallen into the boveda trap because they are easy, but I calculated what I was spending on packets versus humicare bead or gel humidifiers and the savings with these products over the packets is a couple of boxes of good cigars a year or enough to buy ci knock offs and CI deals all year long on the difference you save over oackets. Ok, the beads do require trial and error and charge time in distilled water or cigar juice, but I've got the old blue cups that have lasted longer than a year each and the rectangles live on a change for 90 days+, the slimlines live on a change about the same and the cigar stick is awesome for a stick humidifier and this one is the first one I've found that doesn't leak and ruin cigars! It's got some kind of voodoo magic that keeps it from leaking right after you fill it up. . . . laying on its side with the cigar juice in it and beads not expanded. . . still doesn't run out. . . I'm not asking questions it just works however they did it. So, if you like the convenience of the packets but hate paying the same as a box of your go to sticks every couple of months because we all have way too many humidors this lineup by humicare is the answer because it works and they save you money while keeping reliable humidity constant once you match the box and contents with the right humidifier in their line up. These rectangles are great for larger humidors, cabinets and towers and larger desktops with 100 or more capacity. The slimlines are better for desktops and the cigar sticks are great anywhere you want to distribute humidity in your stack without leakage because it's about as big as a robusto. And the black ice pie jars are two way and work great for my top notch sticks in long term cedar boxes living at 69-72% with no effort for 90+ days with just a quarter a cup of cigar juice to recharge with the beads shrink a little. These rectangles do have magnets on the back with two sided tape so you can mount them anywhere in your humidor and then recharge is as easy as pulling it off the magnet and dipping it in distilled water for 15 minutes and your good for another 90+ days. We all have digital Hygrometers. also to watch even our boveda filled boxes and I do sometimes combine the two if needed, but Simply watch your humidity to be sure you have the right humidifier in your box. . if you say too high swap to a slimline because these things are humicare products on steroids. They really got some potent material in their new line up so they last and you don't have to struggle to humidify. I get beautiful oily sticks with beautiful plume in my long term boxes with these. Got some sticks that dried out a little? It happens and these will turn them around in a couple of days without even trying saving more money by rescuing sticks from a dry sad fate in the trash. Definitely give them a shot, I'm happy with the entire line and buying more cigars and less humidification with humicare. You can't go wrong!

These Crystal Gel Humidifier's work very well in my 250 count humidor. I replenish the humidifier with distilled water every 3-4 weeks and they keep my humidor at a constant humidity level of 71-72%. I would like to add here that Humi-Care needs to revise their instructions inside the package of these humidors. Humi-Care's instructions call for upon initial first time use to soak the gel humidifier for 30 minutes, this is WRONG. When I soaked in distilled water for 30 minutes the gel inside expanded and burst out thru the seams and I lost about 1/3 of the gel. Please follow CI's instructions in the description of this product, upon initial use only soak in distilled water for 15 minutes. Other than this SNAFU, these humidifiers work very well. I still give a 5 stars for how well they work.

Works well so far

This replaced the cheap metal unit of the same size that came with my 150 stick humidor. Night and day difference in moisture retention. I highly recommend these units. Elevated my humidity levels by nearly 10 degrees! After 3 months, I’ve soaked it once and my humidity level in my humidor is consistent +/- 2 degrees. I keep my box at 72. Here in Arizona, it’s bone dry making my battles with humidors epic and critical to keeping my favorites in good condition for months.

So far this humidifier is maintaining a solid 70% moisture rate in my new humidor for almost 3 weeks without adjustment. That’s better than I’ve ever achieved in the past and I will continue to order replacement humidifier supplies from Humi-Care.

A good replacement for my old one

These are a great little pieces. Once it attains saturation it will hold humidity perfectly! I recently ordered another one. That one was still holding 60-65°F. This is why I do business with CI. Their services and prices are the best

I think these are the best, I have 40 cigars in my humidor and this keeps the cigars fresh, also it lasts around 6 months, I always keep a couple in stock.

Perfect for my humidor

Worked well so far. Very happy with it. My old humidifier was a little too old and I needed a new one. Electronic humidifiers seemed a little too much for my small humidor but this seems to be working quite well.

Excellent humidifier, fit in a smallish place, was a great upgrade over the stick on humidification device that came with the humidor.

Good system

Was keeping my humidior at a steady 80% but recently dropped to 65% within a couple days. Went to put more distilled water in it and let it rest but it won't get up back to 80%. It's sitting at about 72% and drops down to the 60's every other day as I keep refilling it. Maybe I am doing something wrong but it was great while it lasted!

It was a good deal and I will buy more.
