I could go on and on about some of the best duos in the world: surf and turf, Dumb and Dumber, The New Age Outlaws…but today, I’m here to talk about a legendary duo that all of us can rally behind: cigars and bourbon. And what better place to start than Buffalo Trace distillery? With over 200 years in the business, there’s few that can hold a candle to that history. 

So let’s take a look under the hood, shall we? BUFFALO TRACE® cigars start off with a potent yet balanced mix of barrel aged Piloto Cubano and Nicaraguan long-filler tobaccos that are encased inside a Brazilian Arapiraca binder and then finished with dark, oily Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. Expect notes of cedar, cashews, and leather with hints of vanilla and spice on the finish. Incredibly balanced and unique, BUFFALO TRACE® adds another ‘W’ to their resume and delivers one of the finest cigars we’ve had in long time. I've smoked 4 so far and they excellent but all seem very tightly wrapped and can be difficult to smoke. I'm going to try the Robustos next and hopefully they smoke easier.

I am not a bourbon drinker but a friend of loves the BT hooch. Bought a fiver and knew I had to have more. I ordered a 20 box and they are in the rotation. I tried the whiskey after the cigar. I’ll stick to beer, thank you, but can definatly taste it on retro hale.

I bought a box and then I bought a bottle of Buffalo Trace Bourbon. I've opened the box and enjoy the way they smoke. But I haven't cracked the bottle yet, so I'll have to hold off on rating the entire experience for a bit. But so far I'm impressed.

Wow, what a fantastic Cigar! The Bourbon allows the tobacco to have more of a mellow taste as you smoke it. Not harsh or overly hot to the tongue. Good draw and long even burn. Pricey but, well worth it!

Grabbed up a 5 pack to smoke with a bit of their whiskey. Absolute smashing match up. Perfectly complimentary to one another. The whiskey brought out the oak in the cigar, and the cigar brought out the char in the whiskey. Only one of the 5 sticks had any issues. It was wrapped too tight (or packed too full) once I loosened it up a bit via skewer, the draw greatly improved. Each burned well with out having to be touched up much.

This one got a 5 star on construction. It was not my cup of tea on taste. It was unique but not what I like. My wife even noted that the aroma of the cigar was far different from what I usually smoke. BT cigars are off my list. I am sure someone likes that taste but not for me

Good flavor but poor construction. Did the old finger roll and pinch. Tried several tricks to try to loosen them up. Taste was good, better than average for sure, but through at least three of them away because I couldn’t get them to draw several others required multiple lightings.
