STAG

Less is more.

While this may not look like a cigar you’d normally pick, I urge you to give it a go. See, while it may not be big and beefy like a lot of the boomsticks marketed today, this slim Panatela packs in the flavor. Not to get all wonky on you, but it has to do with the wrapper to filler ratio, in a cigar this size - more wrapper, less filler, more flavor.

Stag Panatela is a medium-bodied blend hailing from Honduras. With a blend of Nicaraguan and Honduran fillers tucked under a Honduran wrapper, expect to be greeted with earthy, peppery, and sweet flavors. Give this stick a try and see for yourself that bigger does not always equate to better.

STAG Panatela
This cigar is almost impossible to smoke. Good flavor but short of drilling a hole through the center I couldn't smoke them. Rolled way to tight!

These realy could be a nice cigar!
Very pleasant to smoke with a mild, easy going profile that slowly develops some light taste notes as you go. Burn a fairly long time for there size. That's the positives. Half of these were bound up so tight as to be un-smoke able. Tried cutting them into half's and thirds with only some success - many a lost cause. Would not recommend.

Great Find- Marsh Wheeling Stogie Substitute!
My original order for the Honduran Stag Panatela cigars were from a quest to find a replacement for the recent demise of the Marsh Wheeling Deluxe Dark Stogies, which I have enjoyed for 40+ years. My first 8 orders were disappointing, the cigars were very dried out, the outer wrapper dry and peeled off, the cigar seemed wrapped so tight it wouldn't draw. The only way I could get them to draw was to use a fine poultry skewer to center punch the cigar approx. 2 in. or more. I assumed I was purchasing old inventory. These cigars are shipped in 3- 10 packs, each cigar is superbly wrapped in a cellophane type wrapper sleeve, end folded, Each 10 pack is tightly wrapped and sealed with the same cellophane type enclosure. The 3- 10 packs are secured by a similar cellophane wrap and tightly sealed. I am pleased I endured and that my patience was rewarded. the last 3 orders the cigars were more than satisfactory. They are reasonably fresh, a very mild, pleasing smoke, I have experienced no discernible after taste , a pleasant smoke from light to finish. A comfortable draw is achieved by a simple cigar punch or slicing a sliver off the receiving end with a cigar cutter. I prefer a maduro or darker wrap, but the outer leaf is lighter than the Dark Marsh Wheeling, darker than the light Marsh Wheeling Stogie. It is my belief that adequate long term storage in a proper humidor would be achieved by removing all cellophane wrappers before storing. I am enjoying these fine cigars and long term storage is not a factor for me. I am still longing for someone to resurrect the Marsh Wheeling Deluxe Dark Stogies, but for now I look forward to the next light of Stag Panatelas. I highly recommend this cigar.

Not a good smoke
Not well made. To soft so the cigar burns hot. Do not purchase

A pleasant surprise
Picked these up on sale as a cheap yard gar. Construction a bit mangy at times and frequent tight draw, but that wonderful Corojo flavor which makes it all worthwhile to me.

Rollin Stogies Jeff Dascenzo
This STAG hand made Panetelas are amazing and anytime i see the word Cameroon I jump all over that stogie! With this one being from Honduras makes it even more special. Taste is mild/med body with leather overtones in your mouth the aroma is great with hints of dark roasted coffee and the inside of a very old ceder chest. Rollin Stogies says get yours from CI today. Keepem Lit my Rollin Stogies brothers and sisters.

Just OK
A knock around cigar for lawn mowing or running errands. Taste OK, nothing special. Lasted longer than you would think, although that may be partially attributed to all the knots you need to work through
