New Cuba

Tasty Corojo goodness for pennies on the dollar.

Casa Fernandez is one of the largest growers of tobacco in Nicaragua. Today’s hot-bed for best of the best, Nicaragua’s black volcanic soils and tropical climate equal the perfect recipe for delicious offerings, and Casa Fernandez has there hand in countless boutique fan favorites hailing from their pristine Nicaraguan farms. The cigar at hand caters to the everyday enthusiast while utilizing Casa Fernandez’s revered, Cuban-esque proprietary tobaccos. Welcome the next backorder headache, New Cuba.

New Cuba is rich and full-flavored, yet still perfectly smooth. A golden-brown Corojo wrapper and a ‘Cuban sandwich’ blend of Cuban-seed Nicaraguan tobaccos leads to an enjoyable profile brimming with notes of earth, pepper, nuts, and cocoa. Boasting a complex character and a cool, slow burn, New Cuba will keep you coming back for more, and at these attractive 2-fer prices as low as $1.19 apiece, you’ll be soaking in the spoils for twice as long.

New Cuba Gordo and Churhill's are better....
These New Cuba Torpedoes just aren't quite as good as the New Cuba Gordo and Churchill sizes. They are less flavorful and seem to be lacking filler to keep them from burning properly. The Gordo by far is my best New Cuba cigar. I give the Gordo size a solid 5 star rating!!!

Great, affordable smoke
There are my favorite cheap smokes. They need to be smoked on the faster side or the flavor is unsatisfying. And occasionally (rarely) I think the consistency is lacking. But otherwise a very good cigar!

Nice smoke
Good medium to bold smoke. Can smoe it everyday but only drawback to me is some are a little loose so have to keep wiping tobacco filler from lips and mouth

Good every day smoke
First time purchase of this brand, Churchill. Nice draw, burns even, slightly oversized in length and guage for a Churchill (compared to other brands) , which makes it a good value. Nice flavor. Will probably buy again.

New Cuba
The cap on the cigar fell off on about every other cigar. When it didn’t fall off I enjoyed the cigar. The cigar would fall apart and I was lucky to smoke half. I will not buy these again. You know the old saying you get what you pay for.

New Cuba fan
Great cigar for the price, good everyday smoke. Wrapper seems to peal on some but not bad
3 out of 5
Ok for a cheap smoke
Not bad for a bogo...can be inconsistent on quality- some good some bad. veins under cap causing tearing or chunks coming out... tight roll/draw... tolerable for the price

There ok as such for a working cigar
Burn nice and medium to low strength

Okay cigars
Some of them burn only on one side
3 out of 5
Ok, but
These were good for an everyday cigar. Not a very tightly packed cigar.

Nice smooth smoke
I have been wanting to try these but never would order them, finally I did and I am very pleased with the easy draw and the lack of an after taste, nice smooth smoke.

Good cigar, but a fast burner...
For a 6 X 60, these cigars burned up very fast. The next time I order the New Cuba brand, I will get the 7X48 size. Those seem to last longer and have more flavor and aroma than all of the other sizes of New Cuba.

Poorly Rolled 😖
Ok gar, some burn well, are rolled consistent, those are a nice.. unfortunately other are not, they are inconsistent, unevenly rolled, burn hot and are very harsh..

Nice Daily Smoke
It's a good mood smoke. I live in the southwest and like most of my other cigars it tends to unravel a bit. Not a deal breaker tho!

Incredible
Guys I logged in just so I can do a review which I usually done. This cigar is incredible, it literally blowed my mind. I bought few at my local cigar shop and I'm going to order here whole pack. Quality of cigar and price just do not match!! Nicely wrapped, white uniformed ash that holds almost a half of cigar!! That right there should tell you something !!! They have them in Connecticut wrapper too which are outstanding!! Maybe the price is for good backyard cigar, but as good as it is I would like to take my time with it and really enjoy it. !!
4 out of 5
Not a bad cigar
Te cigar is well made, firm, slow burning, pretty good tast, and l enjoyed it. (Better have I've got 48 of em left)

Great cigar for the $$
Great cigar for the money. Gave it four stars because they need Humidor time to improve their condition and flavor as received. This cigar starts peppery and mellows out to a medium tobacco flavor with a touch of sweetness. For added flavor I added some Single Malt Scotch to the Humidor waited for three months and created an $8 per stick cigar.
4 out of 5
great cigar for a small price.
I discovered these by accident on a trip. Great price point, great cigar.
5 out of 5
Better than Churchill
One bundle was ready to smoke, the other was dry. Nice ash, well constructed, starts peppery, but finishes nicely. Cedar, leather, almost creamy sweet. Love biting the end off, no cutter needed.
5 out of 5
Taste like an $8 stick!!!
This is an excellent daily stick that doesn’t smoke like one.

Not a bad smoke BUT
Not a bad smoke BUT not a good one either for the price for a cigar made out of fillers or clippings it makes you spit clippings more often than others I have tried

SURPRISE ALERT !
I was pleasantly surprised with New Cuba. At CI's low price I was expecting a nice humidor filler. what i got was an enjoyable, well constructed smoke that i wont hesitate to share with the brahs.

Keepersville
One bad cigar don’t spoil the whole bunch, well constructed, good draw, sufficient smoke, and once it becomes a toro size it mellows out and comes to life. Starts peppery but finishes with creamy cedar and hints of chocolate. Will reorder

New Cuba Titan
Pretty good smoke. A little harsh at the end but overall a good smoke for the money.
4 out of 5
Pretty good smoke
Since I am old and financially embarrassed, I try to keep to the costs down of course. But I do like cigars ! I was a bit skeptical of these, but am pleasantly surprised at the quality and flavor. They are often as good as much more expensive sticks, just not always. On that same note, I have not found a bad one yet.

New Cuba Robusto
My husband loves the cigars but they are always on backorder for several weeks. I never know when they are going to come when I order. I order 2 weeks before he would run out, but still don't get them in time, so I have to order them from somewhere else in the meantime.

Great Budget Cigar
It took me a long time, but I finally found a great everyday cigar for the budget conscience--New Cuba. New Cuba cigars burns relatively even; once lit, stays lit and does not leave a bad in the mouth.

Good burn, good draw, stays lit, good taste awesome price.

A nice surprise
I try a lot of cigars always looking for the "right" one. For the price, this one is a good, pleasant, and tasty cigar. It smokes slowly and evenly. Perfect for any time.
5 out of 5
Great
They are the only cigar my husband likes and the only ones we buy
5 out of 5
Very good considering the price, and pretty good anyway
I mean, five stars considering the price. A little stronger than the usual medium, the taste is a little darker. These are really borderline "good cigar", and might be actual good cigars if people's construction issues were solved. I like them and will order them as long as they are available (and unchanged).

Good all around cigar at a great value. Burns clean and even great taste until the very end. It won't disappoint.

New Cuba robusto
Good value for the price, but not keen on the short filler they used. Half way through the cigar, you have to start spitting it out at every puff you take.

New Cuba Churchhill, Good value
Nice cigar for the money, have smoke about thirty of these cigars and found they are a pretty consistent smoke. Sometime get a little bitter 3/4 of the way through, so I re-cut the drawing end of the cigar to freshen it up.
5 out of 5
Great yard cigar
I used to order free Cubas but they were getting a little hit and miss so I gave these a try and have been very pleased. Much easier draw, better wrapping( don't come apart on a motorcycle ride) and great tasting. I highly recommend these for a daily knock around.

Great cigar! (Five stars for sure)
Very good choice for my one-per-day cigar. Great flavor, even burn, a real bargain.

An OK cigar most of the time
Some of these cigars are great smokes, but not all. There are plugs often found and the wrapping is often loose and a hassle as well. For the price it is an OK bargain.
3 out of 5
Fine stick for the price
Wrapper is a bit mottled with patches of green here and there, but it smokes smooth and consistent with decent flavor. You kinda get what you pay for here.

Decent stick. Good spice.

cheap
for the price, it is what it is. You are not getting a top shelf cigar. Out fishing or something, it is fine
3 out of 5
New Cuba Presidente
a bit smaller ring gauge than I like but draw is good and while I don't really think this is a bad cigar it just would be classified as a good cigar to share with friends or on the golf course. The one bad thing is that having smoked about 10 of these now, the wrapper doesn't always stay like it should and begins to unwind which is a hit against the cigar as far as I am concerned.

New Cuba Presidente
Not to bad for the price. The draw is a little inconsistent and there is a little unraveling on some of them. But like I said not bad for the price.
4 out of 5
Surprisingly nice smoke for the price.
I'm far from a rich man, so cannot afford the cigars I really like. I've been buying Free Cubas for quite a while as their price is within my range and they do fairly nicely in the enjoyment factor. I bought some of the New Cuba Presidente cigars and after smoking a few, I've decided that this will become my new choice of an affordable cigar until I hit the lottery & can afford the "great" cigars. My recommendation is if you buy Free Cubas or something similar is to change over to the New Cuba Presidente. Pretty good for a lower priced cigar.
4 out of 5
Decent yard cigar
Mild cigar that draws easily. I enjoy this one while doing outdoor projects or just poking around the yard.

Great Smoke for the Money
Very nice golf course cigar. Burns pretty even. Burns a little fast but that can be a good thing on the course!
4 out of 5
New Cuba Top Value
I found the New Cuba to be a very good cigar for the money has a good draw and nice even burn and hold the ash for a long time. Great for on the golf course or on the lake fishing. Taste some what like a coffee bean covered in dark fudge. Hold the flavor all the way to the end the last puff as good as the first
5 out of 5
New Cuba
There,s a reason these are backordered. There that good.
3 out of 5
Good work smoke
Most had an easy draw, but some were firmer on the draw. Strength was medium yet if puffed too hard it will make you stop working and put it down, goes right to your head. Good cigar for the price, but most smoke too fast.
4 out of 5
Cuba Robusto
I found this to be an economical daily smoke. They are mild and burn evenly. It takes me about 45 minutes to smoke one down to an inch. I used to smoke many cigars daily, but cut back due to cost. I was lucky to have been able to take advantage of the great smokes from Cuba before the embargo in the early 60's. These will have to do until we can again get the real thing from Cuba. I do have a source for genuine Cohiba's, but I'm saying nothing more.

Very smooth and has a great taste. I love this cigar!!
