I love this cigar!. it is a perfect medium body profile... and it has a lot of bursting flavors of cocoa and the coffee with a slight sweet wood background! A go to... its smooth and it smells good and smokes like a chimney.. on the Retro it is sweet with the Coco and a little bit of pepper.. I love this cigar for the money and the only b**** I got...?.. once in awhile they burn wonky. but if you let them sit in your box long enough.. you'll never have that problem either..

I want more!
I got one of these in a sampler pack for Christmas. I lit it up, and after just a few minutes, I knew I had a new favorite cigar. The flavor is excellent, and the smoke is smooth and consistent from light up to finish. I hope they stock more soon. Ordering more is a must for me.

Solid, enjoyable cigar.
I'm by no means a cigar expert, as I've only been enjoying them for about six months now. But after searching around for a brand and flavor I really enjoyed, this is the one that stuck. Smooth, pleasant flavor and pleasant aroma, nice steady burn, and just enough smoke output. Looks good, and very seldom do I have a problem with the ash "spreading". I still try other brands here and there, but always come back to this one.

Tasty
Flavorful smoke in 30 to 40 minutes, well worth the price a must have. If you like mild taste with a easy burn, with a fragrance of moca and spice. This is it!

This is a sleeper!
First let me say, I'm not fond of Dominicans. Most are too weak for me. Very few makes it to my humidor. I got this one at Cigar Fest. I perked up when I saw it had an Oscura wrapper. Smelled good and fired it up. First puff, I knew this would be a good one. Nice construction, good burn, and that great flavor I've become accustomed to with the strong wrapper. Lots of smoke. I love torpedoes. Not as tightly wrapped as I like. But hey, it's still a great smoke! Also saw they were back ordered. That will say more than my words! It'll be in my regular rotation.

Can't beat the 1878!
Man, I love this cigar! The taste is sweet and the smoke is smooth and creamy. It still blows my mind considering the ratio of smoke per draw this cigar produces. The 1878 Capa Oscuro and Maduro are two of my "go to" cigars. If you like a full flavored cigar, give it a try; you will not be disappointed. D. Dalton

Pleasant Surprise!
Pleasantly surprised. One cigar out of a sampler. That's what samplers are for, to try cigars that you wouldn't have tried otherwise. Great cigar! I'll be getting a box or two.
Customer Testimonials
I am a new cigar smoker, starting in November 2014. I've been sampling here and there and the PDR cigar was one of the Rocky Patel vs The World sampler cigars. I had zero expectations that this would be a good cigar. Boy, was I dead wrong!! This cigar puts off tons AND I MEAN TONS of thick, white smoke!! The flavors were amazing. To sum it up, I immediately purchased a box and have no regrets!
This cigar is awesome! Medium bodied with oak, sweet spice, dark chocolate and a wonderful tobacco core all the way to the nub. I can't believe the price for these, it's a steal! I've had the black band maduro PDR and didn't like it (and i love maduros) and if you can afford the A. Flores 1975 Gran Reserva, BUY IT! Let me just say it's one of the best medium cigars I've ever had. Enjoy!
