This cutter is better for the following reasons: one blade is stationary while the other slides within the frame. This seems to provide a cleaner cut. Also, the cigar is able to be passed completely through the frame so the whole cigar can be trimmed to make shorter, to handle frequently hard rolled fillers and other flaws.

I bought the Gold Moretti Guillotine cutter because of the low price. I really was not expecting much because it was so cheap. Do not judge a book by its cover. This is a quality cutter. It is the perfect weight and very sharp. I recommend this cutter to anyone looking for a good looking quality cutter, and you can't beat the price. Thanks CI

I'm very disappointed with this cutter. After two weeks, the screws fell out and were lost. It's completely useless now as the blades cannot be held in place.

Great cutter, had it for about a month and probably used it over 50 times, still cuts like new. Looks nice. Only complaint is cutter is doesn't stay closed a bit loose.

Got this cutter as part of a bundle. It is not good. Blades were dull and the screws are falling out. Pick a different cutter if you have a choice

This cutter arrived with everything in tact, and after just a few uses it became really loose. The blades are still fairly sharp but that's probably because I hardly use it. I would not recommend this product unless you like to do some maintenance on your cigar cutters.

I recently purchased this cutter (Moretti Guillotine Cutter) and as the reviews stated, many of the screws were loose. I did not have any missing, but before using the cutter, I removed all the screws and applied some thread locker to all of the screws. They are now holding tight and the cutter looks and works great now.

My Moretti came with a fathers day deal and arrived with several screws missing, I love the cutter so I am just going to replace all the screws with brass pin rivets. Even with the missing screws this is still a great cutter, Thx CI!!!

I have been using the Moretti guillotine cutter for about a year. I like the appearance, it cuts well and is comfortable to use. The only problem is the screws loosen and fall out, the first time three screws fell out but I was able to find two of them. I tightened all the screws that were all loose. The other day I noticed three screws fell out again but I couldn't find any of them, I can't find screws to replace them. I would suggest taking the screws out and putting a little lock-tight or super glue on the screws before replacing them.

The Moretti Guillotine Cutter, looks good, cuts good, but i would tighten screws before using and check them often.

Works great. Nice solid feel to it. Be sure to check the little screws every so often to keep the cut from getting too loose.
