Southern Draw Cigars may be relatively new to the world, but don’t let that fool you – these guys have a bench of top-shelf blends that’ll make you think they’ve been doing this for decades. Founded by Robert and Sharon Holt, this U.S. Veteran owned company is the only boutique brand made exclusively at AJ Fernandez’s factory in Esteli, Nicaragua. In 2019, Southern Draw celebrated their fifth year in the business, and I think it’s more than safe to say they’ll be celebrating a lot more anniversaries down the line.
Not familiar with the cigars? Let me get you acquainted. Southern Draw’s core line consists of the Rose of Sharon (a delectably medium-bodied Connecticut), the Kudzu (a double-fermented, medium to full-bodied blend), and the Jacob’s Ladder (a PA Broadleaf wrapped firecracker). More recently, Southern Draw has introduced the 300 Hands line in Connecticut, Maduro, and Habano – these cigars directly benefit the labor force of Nicaragua, putting money back into charitable efforts in Esteli. Along the same lines is the IGNITE Series – in 2019, Robert’s teamed up with the Navy Seals foundation, and each sale of these jars directly contributes money to the charity.
Still can’t decide? Do yourself a favor and pick up a sampler – 5 cigars for one great price, and we guarantee you’ll find something you love.
