A classic Connecticut for a buck.Villiger has been crafting fine quality, affordably priced cigars since 1888. With ratings as high as 92 and prices this low, they could be the best darn deal you haven’t tried yet. So what are you waiting for, then? Villiger Connecticut is a mellow cigar made with a ‘Cuban Sandwich’ blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos and finished with a silky, lustrous Connecticut Shade wrapper. Treat your palate to a crisp, mellow profile with notes of cream, honey, pepper, and cedar. It’s deliciously smooth, and with these rock-bottom CI prices, it can fill up your humi oh-so-nicely.
Great smoke, especially for a buck. They stay lit in the golf cart in between trips to the greens. Nice even burn and mild flavor. Best 'gar for a buck that I have found.
In my search for decent economical sticks I tried these. I didnt care for the first one, somewhat bitter and tough draw. A few weeks in the humi and a big change. I've fired up a few more I have found I have to work it to get a good draw, but very smooth and decent mild taste. I actually like em. Overall, one of the better cheapies I've found in my quest. You wont feel bad if you can't finish it or your neighbors pop by when they see you on the porch...and give em out.
Pretty decent cigar but the $1 value makes it a great buy!
I'm sure there are better $1 sticks out there, but all-in-all these aren't bad. The draw is extremely tight but the flavor is nice and the burn is very even. Your cheeks my hurt but your wallet won't.
WOW! Really surprised... the flavor was right on! But the construction was worse than a machine roll and there were some short fillers in there, but when you want to burn a buck a stick these weren't bad. I recommend finding a good two-fer from CI rather than buy these, but I did really enjoy the flavor very smooth.
Surprisingly nice cigar. Even burns, no tunneling and stays lit like a machine-made cigar. No heft to it like a much more expensive cigar but still well-made and not too bad a taste but at this price I'm not complaining because IT IS smokeable to the end. Not like some other name cigars that cost waaay too much compared to what this one can do.
Have bought other $1.00 stcks but not much :( luck. These are the best so far. Perfect for the golf course and to hand out to my buddies. Burn is even and taste is smooth. Some of them were kinda soft?! but maybe I was trying to swing too hard? lol
Way better than machine made cigars of a similar size and price, but this is still a $1 cigar and your expectations should be adjusted accordingly. Fairly terrible taste and uneven burn on the first inch, and I almost gave up on it, but glad I stuck it out. The taste came back to a good profile for even a mid-priced Connecticut wrapped cigar and the burn straightened out. I mostly smoke under $3 dollar sticks from CI, and if you spend a bit more than the villiger costs you can get a much better cigar, but I feel this is still a good value. Keep some on hand for knocking around the garage or passing out to friends who always ask for "samples".
