Tatuaje hits double digits!
I'm probably dating myself, but I remember when Tatuaje first burst onto the scene. The excitement and intrigue circling the brand was high, and praise quickly followed suit. It's hard to believe that was 10 years ago....man time flies! And in that time, few have stayed as true to their roots as Pete Johnson and his brand Tatuaje.
The best news is, 10 Year Anniversary is the same blend that put Tatuaje on the map a decade ago. The same blend that garnered Top 25 Cigar of the Year honors and an impressive 90-rating (quite a feat back then). The rest as they say is history. This go round, you can expect the same craftsmanship and experience delivered in a fabulous triple capped cigar forged in Esteli, Nicaragua. On the pre-light, it emanates sweet aromas of leather, spice, coffee and cocoa. Light it up and instantly lose yourself in the moment, the music....wait....I got sidetracked for a moment. [Continuing]: balanced notes of coffee, leather, and spices. Between the eye-catching bands, and gorgeous boxes, the 10 Year Anniversary definitely shows up to the ball well-dressed. More importantly, it hasn't lost an ounce of its moves either.
The Tatuaje brand is incredibly highly-rated, and features a huge variety of cigars. Shop them all here.
This is the most underrated, under the radar cigar on the planet at the moment, in my opinion. Is it a great deal at 10 bucks a stick? No, but it's still worth every penny. I aged mine for over six months at 68% humidity and it's a great special occasion cigar to share amongst friends. Ecuadorian Habano wrappers are my favorite so perhaps I'm a bit biased.
Bought a few from a local B&M. It's a good cigar, though there are many others which are just as good or even better at this price point. Construction was great, slightly above medium bodied, good flavors, aroma was a little lacking...didn't have that nice sweet aroma that I like.
Amazing smoke. It's been in my "no one can touch but me" humidor for months. Well today felt like a good day to smoke it, and oh my, what a gem. For the life of me I couldn't pick out the fruity finish, but it is definitely peachy-ish. I need a box now!
What a lovely cigar. I have been smoking cigars for a few years and have never found one that could smoke all the way to the end without getting some bitterness. Well, not any more! The after taste reminds me of peaches and a little bit of nectarine. What a wonderful smoke. Definitely on my top ten list, if not number one!
Wow. A lovely, spicy, evolving smoke, really three or more cigars in one. Bravo!
