Take this bull by the horns.
I won't beat around the bush. San Lotano The Bull is good, real good. A few words that come to mind are: fantastic, delicious, extraordinary, any of the aforementioned will do. And that's no errr....bull. Crafted by A.J. Fernandez in Esteli, Nicaragua, The Bull is the San Lotano that charges at you from the very first puff.
The great news here is, The Bull isn't just a bunch of hype. Instead, it takes the higher ground with an all substance approach. To craft The Bull, an extensively aged, and hearty core of Nicaraguan long-fillers are nestled beneath an Ecuador Sumatra wrapper. Firm in the hand, this well-made cigar unleashes a medium to full-bodied profile. Strong, yet smooth, the senses are greeted with oak, coffee, leather, and spices. The cherry on top is a wonderful box-pressed finish. The Bull is the San Lotano you've been waiting for, and as I see it you've got two options. You can click the back button and retreat, or man up and run with the bull.
The San Lotano is full bodied and smooth! This cigar has excellent construction, draw, and burn. One of my favorites from AJ.
Real good full-body. I enjoy it all the way down the end because the smoke is so rich.
A very good stick, full of flavor and alot of creamie smoke,, picked up a box.... for a great price, highly recommend trying them you wont be disapointed.
Man oh man this cigar is good! Real good. Right up there on my top five list for sure. It's a little pricey but worth it. I scored mine on some killer deal. Give it a try and you will love it too.
San Lotano The Bull ain't no bull! Bull as in BS. This deserves number one spot for cigar of the year and that is no bull! I bought a box of the robustos without ever trying as I like AJ's stuff. An absolutely immaculate specimen this thing is. Shiny oily wrapper with damn near perfect construction. Great burn and a snug draw. Definitely a fuller bodied smoke. Everything about this cigar is great! Smells good, great construction with a nice band. Top shelf all the way. Burn was near perfect needing only a minor touch up. Pepper, nutty, earthy, chocolate, leather, coffee and cream are all here. Smoked it to the nub! Easily one of the best cigars I have had and the best finish of any cigar. So good in fact it made me after finishing it at 1am, want to run through my neighborhood streets yelling and screaming waking the neighbors up! Of course I didn't, but I would go down to the San Lotano farm in Nicaragua and panhandle with a sign that says will work for The Bull cigars. Don't take my word for it. Try it yourself. Not a 5 star out of 5 smoke. It is a 6 star out of 5.
Got some at a great price on MMAO. Smooth draw, long burn, and excellent taste, and after taste.
You know I met AJ Fernandez at this year's Cigarfest and he told me to watch out for the next batch of San Lotanos coming out, and boy, he wasn't kidding. I have smoked nearly all of his cigars and this one hits it right on the money. It is complex and strong, plus incredibly smooth. It has a bitter feel to it that is remarkably addicting. Simply his best blend period; grab a box with no hesitation. You will absolutely not regret it!
I've been a big fan of the San Lotano Ovals and maduros. I got some of "The Bulls" about a month ago off of Joe and didn't regret it. Gave some to my friends and they were hooked, good draw, burn, and flavor, not sure what else you need? They are a bit pricey so I've been waiting for them to go on special and found them today on Joe. A good medium to full flavor, give em a look!
Just got a box of the robustos and just couldn't wait to have one. What a GREAT STICK! First time trying the San Lotano's and I was very happy. Like the video review said...some nice cedar notes along with some coffee, leather, and spices and pepper notes. I'm going to let these lay for awhile in the humi and see what happens. Felt great in hand, loved the draw, and plenty of creamy rich smoke. It's certainly with trying one if you haven't already. Glad I got a full box...I may have found a new go to for going with sipping on my current favorite sipping scotch.
