In the past this has been my #1 or certainly top 5 cigar. I am sorry to say that my past couple of orders of Serie V have been a little disappointing. I ordered the special figurado with the pointed tip and just didn't think it was up to standards. Just not as smooth as in the past. Thinking it might be an anomaly, I ordered two twelve-count boxes of the classic double robusto. Certainly a solid smoke but once again just didn't live up to the high standard of Oliva V. Both the figurado and the double robusto had plenty of strength but just didn't have the appealing flavor and smoothness that I have become accustomed to. They will have to sit in the humidor a while and I will try them again later.

I am fairly new to cigars, and have enjoyed exploring what I like and don’t like. Initially I was enthralled by light Connecticut. Now am trending towards the more flavorful and darker varieties. So far, without a doubt this is my favorite thus far. The build quality and flavor is phenomenal. Not over spiced but having plenty of the RIGHT flavor to enjoy and keep things interesting. I may have found my go to… It may be hard to try anything else…but hey…that is part of the fun. 10/10

Oliva Serie V is a stable smoke in my humidor. A medium-to-full body smoke rich with complex flavors. It stays the same from the foot to the nub, no transition, but very enjoyable. Double Robusto is the best size in terms of flavor balance, strength, and construction. I tried all sizes north of Robusto, they’re all good in general, but Double Toro tends to have burn issues more often than not. Enjoy this cigar after a nice meal. It has a kick in it.
