Flavorful, well-made Nicaraguans.Oliva Serie ’G’ is a good-looking Nicaraguan premium cigar made with an authentic African Cameroon wrapper. This leaf imparts a pleasant, nutty flavor, adding to the rich bouquet presented by the Nicaraguan Habano long-fillers inside. Overall, a rich, medium-bodied cigar with hints of coffee, nuts and wood on the aftertaste. Do yourself a favor, and check out this perfectly balanced cigar from Oliva.Oliva Serie ’G’ received a stellar 91-rating noting: "Nearly flawless in appearance, this box-pressed torpedo shows a distinct array of rich woods, spices, breadiness and a dense, almond paste finish."
Wanted to like this but for me, the Serie G was harsh and bitter. Hit me in the back of the throat from beginning to end. As with all Oliva Cigars, it was constructed and burned beautifully. It was part of a sampler - not sure if I got a bad one somehow.
All I can say is wow! Recently bought a 10-pack of torpedoes on the "Joe's Daily Deal" and was absoultely satisfied by the first smoke. Burned nice and even, perfect draw throughout, leathery with a touch of spice! After I smoked the Oliva Serie "G", I then followed it up by a Saison by Oliva. The Saison could not even compare or come close to the "G" and trust me, im a fan of Saison toro! I will say that I am just a weekend smoker but I will always make sure I have a Serie "G" in my humidor at all times.
I am definitely a Cameroon fan. Fortunately for me CI has a wide assortment of excellent Cameroon-wrapped smokes. This is one of the very best. If you are looking for a Cameroon fix you can't go wrong here. This is especially true when compared to a certain cigar with a famous Cuban name that costs more than twice as much.
It's a "smooth operator"! Very mellow with lots of flavor. Nice!
The Special G Perfecto was a nice smoke, little thing gives a big kick in the flavor hole! Enjoyed this mini flavor packed mouth nuke with a glass of some Texas Sweet Tea.
Great afternoon smoke. I prefer the torpedo. They burn great and hold a nice ash. Not overpowering and very smooth. I am no expert and love this smoke.
Creamy, smooth with notes of pepper, wood, earth
and a dried fruit sweetness. Tasty.
Let me say right off there is a lot going on in this one. Damn near perfect.... Great burn and construction. Smoked it to the nub. As others have stated; creamy, spicy, toast, coffee with hints of chocolate. Smells good enough to eat. Well not quite but this truly is a wonderful smoke. Pure bliss and I retrohaled almost every draw. Often times you hear it has a chewy or meaty finish and I finally understand those terms after spending an hour with this G! Definitely want more. I have tried the V as well and it was good, but I think I prefer this one. When I tried the V it was hot and humid taking away from the experience though. Serie G definitely box worthy!
Probably, the best cigar on Earth for the price, smooth and creamy with an easy draw and flawless construction!
Are there better cigars out there? Sure, I suppose. Are there better cigars out there for the money? Absolutely not! Beautifully constructed, excellent draw, even burn and a rich complex flavor your just not going to find anywhere else at this price point. Cheap enough to smoke everyday, complex enough to enjoy on a special occasion. Highly recommended!
Hands down one of my favorite smokes. The toro is a beaut and a great price....can't go wrong!
The special corona is a fun and fantastic cigar to smoke. They provide some complexity including pepper with undertones of mild herbs and cut grass. These flavors are clear. You will not have to go looking for them. These special corona are an excellent cigar to give a novice; this is a quality I admire. The initial draw is rock hard. You could pop your ear drums if you put just a little effort into it. Yet, the puff yields a great aroma and a fair amount of smoke. This develops, along with the flavor. A large amount of smoke and aroma is to be had 10 minutes into the smoke for little effort. The burn is cool until the end which can take 40 minutes to reach. A full cigar experience is provided for a good price. Oh, they also fit neatly into a shirt pocket. Don't underestimate this quality folks.
My first Oliva: great smoke and loads of flavour; I smoked this one down to the nub, very pleasant.
This cigar was medium in taste and was a great relaxing smoke. The only thing that can I say about this cigar is that it made me want to dress up in my wife's clothes and belt out showtunes. I can honestly say that I never imagined thinking of doing this type of thing before. It is only when I light up a Oliva Serie G. Well, I bought a a few boxes so I am off to Macy's to buy me some clothes.
The little "Special G" perfecto is absolutely perfect when you don't have a ton of time. I was shocked at how well balanced this smoke was! It's a spicy, little, medium strength smoke that is really affordable. I'll be adding a bunch of these to the humidor ASAP.
Great Smoke!!! I have had 4 now, and all tasted amazing! Going to buy a box soon.... Go with the torpedo version!!!
First puff and my mouth was overcome with a dry nutty taste. The Oliva Serie G is a must have for your humidor!
I've smoked everything from cohiba to the whole cao line & this cigar is just bad ass. great sweet woody tones with a hint of spice at the end. thought it was the Cameroon wrapper but I've tried many others & this is still tops. one of if not the best I've ever had. smoke like a boss.
Can I just go ahead and say "Best cigar of all time"? Where do I begin? So smooth, so perfectly balanced. I've been looking for years for a medium bodied Cameroon wrapped stick that tastes great, ain't too pricey, draws well and won't go out on me and I found the flavor I didn't even know existed in this stick. Only 91 rated? Easily a 93 in my book. Hands down the best bang for your buck and the G series is my fav of the Olivia varieties. Buying a box in 3, 2, 1... go.
Bought these Serie G by mistake, (thought I was buying the maduros) but wow! what a great cigar. Box pressed torpedo was intense with a smooth start and a very flavorful finish. Will be buying these again for sure, along with the maduros.
I got one of these in a sampler. I don't usually care for the box pressed cigar, no good reason just personal preference i guess. I lit it up today while watching my son drive his electronic truck around the yard. I was impressed by the smooth chocolaty taste right off the bat. It is a flavor and smooth smoke with not much of an after-taste. I wouldn't stock an entire humidor of these but I wouldn't mind putting a few more in one of them.
An excellent cigar! Very smooth, great flavors and the all important steady burn. I ashed about every 2" but only out of my choosing. Very well made indeed. Smoked it to within in inch of it's life, stopped because it was starting to burn my nose. Will def be adding these to buy list.
Great cigar. Flavorful all the way down to the nub. Would buy again.
Just got my delivery. WOW never had an Oliva and I just had a great 15 minute smoke on the patio. Smooth but yet a flavorful experience. I will be buying these again.
I have to say that this is a pretty good smoke. I am not a big fan of Cameroon wrappers but this is good. A medium, smooth body smoke that burns very well indeed.
Oliva Serie G is one of the best cameroon wrapper cigars out there, I think that H. Upmann Vintage Cameroon is slightly better though. Give this a couple months to rest in the humi, you will love the nutty, cedar, floral aromas and the ash is solid up to 2.5 inches.
Very consistent Cigar. Had them in humi for two months an they never change. It's not the best but will do.
Consistent. Lots of flavor. Highly reccomended. Nutty, spicey, woody combine to make a great smoke.
Each time I think I have found the cigar of choice, I smoke a new one that changes my mind. That being said, this is the case when I received the Oliva G Series in a sampler packet. My fingers told me to put it out since I wasn't paying attention to how much cigar was left. The burn is even, and it the smoke doesn't get hot as it smokes down. It is reasons like this that I continue to purchase sampler packages, I never know what to expect in a new cigar. Do yourself a favor and try this cigar.
A solid smoke with a Cameroon wrapper. Medium bodied with leather and a mild spice and sweetness. I am predominately a Maduro and Corojo smoker. I have tried various Cameroons with various hit and miss results. I liked this stick as a change of pace. If you like Cameroon wrappers this one is a winner.
One of my go-to cigars with consistent construction, flavor, and draw; don't think I've ever had a foul burn on one. Delicious flavors and aromas with what I've come to identify as a specific 'Oliva flavor' characteristic of many of their products. Really can't go wrong with this one and CI frequently offers them for very reasonable prices. Recommended.
One of the best cigars I have ever had. Real mild smoke long lasting and quite tasty.
Had the torpedo. Upon lighting I got an intense nutty flavor that quickly turned to cedar and then fire. It eventually came back to nuts and cedar at the end. Perfect construction and burn make for an 86
Got a great deal buying Oliva Serie G through CI Singles. I thought I'd give them a try since I also enjoy Oliva's Cain Nub. I have to say that this has become one of my favorite cigars! I bought the box-pressed torpedo and I look forward to buying more soon. Let it rest for about a week in your humi and you will not be disappointed. Great flavor, great burn...talk about smoking it down to the nub! I didn't want it to end. This is a great cigar! Thanks CI and thanks Oliva!
Great construction, nice even burn, good flavor profile. All around enjoyable smoke! One of my first Oliva's that surely will not be my last!
Got this in a sampler, lit it up and enjoyed it to the fullest. Great smooth flavor all around nice smoke down to the nub, I was sad to finally have to put it down.
An amazing cigar at an amazing price. Very smooth, mellow flavors with a touch of sweetness. Burn, draw, construction, and taste are all top-notch. Oliva is an amazing brand. You can't go wrong with a Serie G!
I have to say...Oliva hit it out of the park again. I'm about one inch into this cigar, and I think I may be discovering my new favorite. It is absolutley fantastic. The burn, white ash, aroma, flavor, and smoothness are out of this world. I thought nothing could compete with the Oliva Master Blends III for me, but I think this one is up there. Don't be scared! Get some and be happy!
What a smooth and tasty cigar! This Oliva Serie G Toro has it all, good construction and draw, a solid medium body, sweet and spicy aroma, notes of leather, earth, wood and a good amount of sweetness, leaving a somewhat chocolate finish. Complex and flavorful and with CI prices you can't go wrong with these.
I ordered your humidor and eight cigars for 15 bucks. Crazy! Then your brown bag sampler. Not a bad cigar in the bunch! Puffing on an oliva series g right now- a great smoke. Great construction, great taste all the way to the nub. Very recommended. Only problem, I can't pick a favorite! And at dirt cheap prices you have a customer for life. Bless you CI!
What a fine smoke. Stronger flavor then the Oliva O Torpedo. Appearance 87, Taste 92, Construction 88, Quality Average 89.
Recieved my first Oliva Serie G as a gift. Being green to the fine world of cigars and having just recently moved from the convienence store brands to the real deals I was blown away by this cigar. I had never heard of Oliva before, but after a few puffs I realized what a gem I had been given. Sure beats the Dutch Masters and Garcia Vegas I have smoked for so many years. I was not surprised to see that it has a 91 rating. This was my first Oliva but sure will not be my last!!!! I am now spoiled.
I'd heard good things about the Oliva Serie 'G' and was looking forward to it, but was disappointed. Out of the wrapper, it had a good construction and bouquet. It cut well with my Xikar and after toasting, I was ready to go. It started out with a nice, even burn, but that rapidly got top heavy. After about an inch, I was able to correct and continued on my way. This was a fairly mellow smoke with strong hints of leather and a subtle spice to it. Not hot at all, I had trouble keeping it going. Mixed in the leather and spice, though, was a distinct staleness. Not strong, but definitely there. More importantly, the wrapper gave out about halfway and peeled off the cap (a huge pet peeve of mine.) With about 2 inches left, I gave up and put it down. I'll be sticking with my H. Upmann Vintage Cameroons.
Just a beautiful smoke. Very solid flavor and smooth as all can be. I was very impressed by the smoothness, creamy smoke, slight chocolate notes, and the great flavor! After I smoked it to less than one inch, I kept the nub in my mouth just to savor the flavor GREAT SMOKE!
Well done. This cigar (Oliva Serie 'G') really hit the spot when I needed a medium to full bodied smoke. Tastes of cream and coffee as well as a hint of nuts and leather. I have the church hill size and I really like the easy draw and box pressing. A well made cigar indeed. This one is a regular for me.
Got one of the Oliva Serie Gs at Cigarfest 08. It was one of the best cigars I have ever smoked. Anyone looking for a smooth flavorable cigar will find it in the Serie G. Will be buying a lot of these. Leave it up to CI to have great prices and a great Cigarfest. Long live the king of cigars. CI you're the best.
Just wanted to let everyone know that i have smoked about 15 more of these and still have yet to have a bad experience with them (Oliva Serie 'G'). they continue to still impress me! cant wait to try the new serie V if it ever comes back into stock!
Dont be skeptical on this one (Oliva Serie 'G'). I have never smoked a bad one! Burns great, draw is perfect, and flavor is outstanding for a mild smoke ! This will please the new and seasoned smoker. Good enough to have every day. Nothing bad to say about this cigar! CI prices these things great so youre getting a terrific cigar at an even better price!
The Oliva Serie "G" is fantastic; it tastes like a well-made Nicaraguan SHOULD taste. I picked up some on a special and absolutely loved them. Great cigar for the money; I'll be buying more!
Incredible cigar (Oliva Serie 'G') for the price
Very colorful, VERY pro-USA band (Flor de Oliva Grand Cameroon). Firm, leathery Cameroon wrapper. Smooth and creamy down to the nub. Well deserving of the high rating by Cigar Aficianado! All with awesome CI prices!
The Oliva brands (Flor de Oliva Grand Cameroon) represent an excellent value smoke. The construction and blend is high quality and consistent. If you enjoy a medium body cigar - I highly recommend the Oliva line.
