Nice flavor; great price.
Great little cigars, that while ugly, are a great smoke.
Seeing some of, well, most of the reviews really, I wasn't expecting too much. I mean, they're just a bunch of cheapies that seem to be more or less hit and miss. But hey, 75 cigars that wouldn't take forever to smoke for just $40, for a college student like me, that is a good deal. Maybe it's because I didn't expect to much but now that I've smoked most of them and am about to order a new bunch, I must say that I was really pleased. There is some variability in the quality of the cigars you get, some taste good, some don't, maybe one or two just plain aren't worth the tobacco they're wrapped with. But for the most part they were all good. They had a decent strength and I found that more often than not they had a peppery or slight dark chocolate taste to them with a decent nicotine buzz to boot! For cigars that didn't cost more than 50c a piece (not including S&H) I'd say they were pretty darn good and well worth the price if you need to pinch some pennies while you save up for some Rocky Patels or something.
Nice smoke for the buck. An everyday smoke when you don't have alot of time to smoke the one you love...like a woman on the side. The secret is......I let my Classicos live in Dark Rum....They're like licorice!!!!
got these in the mail about a week ago & i am very pleased for the price.great taste & good burn..some of the tastiest sticks in my humi..will definitely be ordering more...good job ci
These little guys are a hard one. I cut and lit one right off of the truck, and it was pretty good. After a week in my humi, I lit another, and man did it taste rancid! I thought maybe a few more weeks; each time I had one it was a hit or miss, some were really good, others were better suited for a friend you don't like, or maybe your worst enemy. They're ugly no doubt, but for the price, you may like them. I'd say at least give them a try, you never really will know until then.
Ugly little tasty gem, great short smoke for the price!
A lot of variation: Some sticks smoke great! Others tend to fall apart as I smoke them. Sometimes the burn runs deep inside the stick and leaves an unsmoked outer shell. Medium flavor is consistently good. Price is right considering the cost of tobacco these days.
Lots of lip and tongue bite, burns unevenly, will occasionally fall apart.
This is probably the worst cigar I've ever bought. Yes it was inexpensive but they are extremely hard to smoke. The main issue is the number of pin holes in the wrapper, when you draw it sucks all the air in from the sides. They are like trying to smoke a small flute - you have to cover the holes with your fingers to draw. I am NOT complaining about the cosmetic appearance, I thought was "spaghetti-western" style. On top of that, the diameter is not even close to the listed size. They are advertised as a 38 ring-size but are actually between 26-30 (the sizes are not consistent since they have that hand-rolled look. I'm very dissatisfied. But, the flavor is not too bad, a little bitter towards the end.
I smoke 3-4 cigars daily, so I'm always on the look out for a cheap, but decent tasting cigar, like Mark Twain. I recieved a catalog from CI and saw the Havana Classicos, went on line and read the good reviews, and ordered me some. Tasty right out of the package, I can't wait to try 'em with a little humidor time. They burn good and have a firm grayish, white ash and the price is great. My only complaint are these cigars are waaay thinner than the factory claimed 38 ring gauge. More like 30-32 ring gauge. Thinner than I normally smoke, but for the taste and and CI's price, I think I'll make an exception in this case.
I enjoy these while walking around outside, playing a video game, shooting birds, blah blah blah...They taste good, and burn just fine. Don't expect a "fine", "premium" hand made, these aren't them. They're just ugly knock around smokes to enjoy and not give a damn about impressing anyone. They remind me of what Eastwood would have smoked in High Plains Drifter, or the like. Buy em, boys. I did and have yet to be disappointed after 50 smokes.
These are great medium bodied smokes. Great for a car ride or a quick smoke. They have a fine draw and are smooth as well. I will be ordering more of these.
Great little cigar. Perfect for my commute to work and home. Ugly but awesome taste. Can't go wrong buying these.
I love these cigars. They're so gnarly looking but don't let that fool you. These are great smokes. Can't beat the price either.
These cigars are perfect for the ride home from work (45 minutes). Great tasting, not a bad smoke in the bunch. Haven't thought about smoking anything in the last eight months!
Now here's a 'junior' smoke with a 'big' smoke aroma & flavour - stronger than the Bandito to my taste - I use the nasal exhalation test - this Havana is right on the edge of being too strong (but I'm getting to like it!) - great for the price and, of course, you can't beat the exception service from CI - so take 5 and smoke 'em if you got 'em ; )
After botching my order twice CI sent me three bundles of these things as a gift for all my trouble. At first I was insulted... Until I lit the first one. Rich, dark aroma with hints of cocoa and coffee. A little mushy on the chew but the taste will blow you away. These are my new everyday smoke. Score CI!!!
Man, are these things ugly. They go beyond a 'shaggy foot' with long strands hanging out. Wildly varying gauge. Ugly jet-black ash. And even a couple bands that were applied to the wrong end of the cigar! All that being said, are they ever a tasty smoke! A welcome departure from the mild airballs commonly found in low-priced bundles. As they rest in the humi, they seem to get better and better too.
Lit one of these up right out of the shipping box. Needless to say, I wasn't impressed. But now after almost a week in the humidor, they seem like a different cigar, very mild and smooth, with a better, yet not spectacular tastes. At the price, these are worth getting a large bundle and dropping them in the humi and just forgetting about them. I can't wait to see how they taste in a month or 2.
I'm very happy with this cigar. It's a good, mild, even burning cigar. Not only that, but you just can't beat the price for the amount that you get. Hat's off to the folks at C.I. !
Great cigars! My husband loves a good cigar and has tried many through the years and really likes these. His friends NEVER buy their own cigars and my husband is very generous with his. So I 1st bought these just because of the price, so he didn't have to share his more expensive ones (it adds up) but he really liked them. Everyone seems to really like these a lot! Thank you for cheap but good cigars!
Let me start by saying that at this price it's a good deal any way you slice it. I think one of these dark little sticks with a cup of coffee in the morning could keep a guy going til lunch. Very rich and robust but also very skinny and while I like the kick I must confess I lean more toward a Connecticut wrapper to keep things mellow. Still and unbeatable price for guys like me on a budget, thanks CI.
The 38 ring gauge is totally misleading. The Maker's Choice (similar rough unpressed type of cigar) is listed at 36 and is substantially thicker than the Havana Classico Pequenos.
After smoking a few more of these, I have to say my experience is varied. Some are pretty good, others are too harsh and/or strong. This may be becaue they seem to be very sensitive to humidity variations and can dry out or be too damp very quickly. If you can keep them at the right moisture level I think they are decent for the el cheapo price. But some experimentation may be needed. At any rate I can think of several other cigars I've spent more money that were not as good.
I wouldn't call them a great cigar But for well under 50 cents per cigar these are not bad for a quick smoke. They are better than most cheap little cigars you can buy in retail outlets.
Don't smoke one of these (Havana Classico) in the streets of Allentown unless you want the cops to harass you! That said, you can smoke these all day here in Alaska (which is a big reason why I moved)! I find the stick to be consistent with what most reviews have said although my one gripe would be the hot smoke, sorta burns the tongue a bit. I prefer something smoother and creamier, but as long as you take it easy, the flavor is top notch for the Philly Blunt price range! I'm sure some time resting in the humi will help these babies develop. That trans-continental trip sure beats the hell out of cigars in general. But make no mistake about it, you can't get anything resembling quality-for-price at the retail shops in Anchorage (on any type of cigar). CI all the way! Thanks ya'll!
I wasn't sure if I would like the rough looking cigars(Havana Classico) at first, but then after trying them I think they are a great smoke. They may not look great but they have a good taste and are perfect for coffee breaks etc. I have lately been buying them six bundles at a time.
If you can find a cigar that smokes and tastes as good as these (Havana Classico) baby's for the money you will have to show me!!
....My first reaction was how can describe these as having a 38 ring size.....Anyone else notice the same thing? I suspect they will smoke OK....
Viva Havana Classico Pequenos!!! This is the perfect smoke for the end of a long day of working with convicted felons and helping my wife take care of the kids and the chores. I'm generally running at full speed from 6:00am until the kids are finally all in bed at about 9:30am, and then I'm ready for some quality "Beer and Cigar" time... unfortunately I'm generally too damn tired to make it all the way through a robusto or toro. These ugly, yet thoroughly enjoyable little cigars are the perfect solution to my cigar-v-life dilema. The flavor is rich, the aroma nice, and I can smoke one in about 20 minutes. Then I can fall asleep with visions of sugar plums dancing in my head, instead of nightmares that I just wasted half a toro because i was too damn tired to smoke it all. Thanks CI for a fine end of a 16 hour day smoke!
Excellent cigar, especially for the price. Too bad they don't have a toro. (Havana Classico)
I have smoked the small Havana Classico Cigars close to a year - For me, they're the cigars that I'vd been looking for. They are a perfect after lunch and dinner cigar. - I m going to miss them when they're gone. I Order the Pyramids and just got them today. They're the same great cigars as the smaller ones. Just opened one and had it out of the wrapper...They really should be even better once they have rested in the Humidor for a while
WOW...I gotta say it: these lil' guys (Havana Clasico Pequenos) are by far THE ugliest cigar I have smoked. BUT, once you get past the way they look, they turn out to be a pretty darn good little smoke, good for the drive to or from work and in between the "big guys" you may not have time for. All in all, not much to look at, but a good smoke, especially for the money, they cost almost nuttin!
you werent kidding these thing are ugly looking ,but they make up for when you lite it up (Havana Classico) the aroma is not over powering they burn even and nice , the best thing is the price. ill be calling thanks ci..
These little sticks (Havana Classico) are as ugly as sin, but they smoke like a champ. I am amazed with the flavor of these cigars. Was looking for a quick smoke for when I couldn't enjoy a full sized cigar, these Havana Classicos fit the bill and more.
WOW! I'm sending praises to a cigar that costs next to nuthin' (Havana Classico). I bought these cheapies for myself and for handouts to my tailgating buds. I saw the positive reviews, and gave them a try. Expecting maybe a "smokeable" cigar, I'm blown away by these babies. They look worse than i thought, but they taste wonderful, smooth yet rich in flavor.......I'll be back for more. Thanks again, CI!
These cigars (Havana Classico) are not particularly attractive, definitely have the hand rolled look, but once you light it up all of your fears will be absolved. This cigar has a medium body smooth flavor that lasts the entire stick. I cannot be more pleased with the price to pleasure ratio this cigar provides. Very good smoke.
I loved this cigar (Havana Classico) right away. It has a nice medium body rich and smooth flavor. I enjoyed it's rugged construction as a mask for the delicious cigar. They make perfect give aways and perfect afternoon quick smokes.
I realy like the (Havana Classico). It has a nice smooth taste and aroma. I live in the Southern California mountains and this cigar goes good here. Also the price you can't beat.
These(Havana Classico)are incredibly tasty! I was looking for a medium flavored cigar for my morning drive and this fit the bill perfectly. It's a bit rough looking but don't let the looks be deceiving, this is one nice smoke!
Here in Minnesota we have two seasons, summer which hopefully occurs on the weekend you have off work, and winter. So in order to extend my cigar smoking time I do so as I drive. These cigars (Havana Classico)make for a very pleasurable and enoyable commute. Because of their smoothness and pleasant aroma both my passengers and I get to enjoy my cigar time.
