In creating Hudson Bay, Gurkha hand-selected aged tobaccos of optimum quality as usual. But this time, they also honed in on one other very important detail: sharpening the pencil on price. The outcome is magnificent and Gurkha’s Hudson Bay is a true anomaly. How could a cigar composed of such fine tobaccos cost so little? It's a head-scratcher.

Handcrafted in one of Nicaragua’s top factories with a Cuban-seed Nicaraguan long-filler recipe, Ometepe binders, and a muscular, leathery San Andres wrapper, this lovely, densely packed premium burns slow and cool with a bold, rich bouquet. Medium in strength with enjoyable notes of leather, earth, black pepper, and espresso delivered in velvety-smooth fashion. Delicious. Deeply discounted. I felt like this was a little bit too mild to be considered a “medium body” not my favorite smoke ever, and they came a little dry when shipped. It does have a little peppery citrusy, kind of note which I do enjoy. Not bad, and not a bad price. But… I’ve certainly had better.

Very nice cigar. Ash holds really well. Great draw with just a V cut. Cap stayed in place throughout the 50+ minute smoke. Flavors are light and just a bit sweet. Didn’t have to re-light at all. A complete cigar that smokes way above it’s cost.

We like the cigars they are very mild and easy to smoke but we do not like the white paper band on them for it is very hard to remove and sometimes it takes the tobacco leave with it.

The box was a little underwhelming , paper box . The smell while opening them was great. not a fan of the big wrapping on them. Pleasant aromatic stick not tight nice even draw. Is the perfect size for after work smoke . definitely will keep in my rotation.

This is the second box of Hudson Bay that I bought cuz when they’re good, they’re GOOD. A bad draw ruins the experience for even the best tasting cigar! Keep a tool handy to poke through the filler on some of these…but you WON’T be disappointed! Leather and just a hint of spice. If I could give it 3.5 stars I would!

The Gurka (as in most Gurka types) has a good taste and even burn. The wrapper is a little bit to big and in turn has to be removed when you light up. I normally wait until the burn gets close to the wrapper before removal. We are all different, lol
