Gran Habano Vintage Habano 2006

Description

The view from '06

It's here! Loud and proud, ready for the Habano lovin' crowd. Gran Habano's new Vintage 2006 features an oily, glistening Habano wrapper cultivated back in - you guessed it - 2006. T'was a great year for me, almost out of college after 6 short, Natty Ice soaked years. It was also a great year for tobacco, as this is one of the nicest looking, best tasting wrappers we've encountered in a long time. Full-flavored with a long finish, you'll see why Gran Habano Vintage is a powerhouse brand, as the 2006 significantly bolsters its portfolio.

Solid grandpa cigar. Nice, big, slow, inoffensive, not very interesting. Clean burn and strong ash. Great draw. Pairs well with lightly chilled Schlitz or a drink from the garden hose.

Expected a more flavorful smoke and a tighter roll. But not bad. Average stick. Drew estates are better for the money in an everyday stick.

Great cigar as I have had them in the past but I not gotten into this recently purchased package as the weather is cold and wet in the Chicago area.

Vintage 2004 Robusto are usually my go to cigars and just recently I’ve gone through my second bundle of the Vintage 2006 in the 60 Ring size. They are well made, generally burn evenly and have a medium draw. To me, this is a full strength cigar and nice aroma. I think the Vintage brand is a very good value for the money.

Decent aroma and taste. They sometimes tend to burn a little unevenly . I find myself having to relight a bit more than usual.

Awesome smoke. Holds a great ash, burns even and has great flavor. On the potent side yet yields mild flavors. Chamomile and light spice.

For the price these are a great solid stick. Really good construction so had a great burn throughout and good cigar flavors. Was bitter in a few places but not for long. Overall a really good value. The 2002 vintage is my go to affordable cigar so this one is a close second.

Great smoke! It has hints of its big brother, Corojo #5, but in the end, it's not the #5. I really enjoy it though. It's has a good clean draw, long lasting, and stays true to the end. I gave it 4 stars because it's a bit mild for my taste. My go to is the #5.
