My favorite Humidor. Nice showpiece humidor and keeps everything just at about 70% without much effort.
Shipping box was a bit crushed when it arrived, but the interior box and styrofoam packaging was all intact and humidor was in good shape. The locking mechanism did not line up perfectly so that when I tried to lock, it would push the lid open a crack, but with a slight modification it closes and locks perfectly now. The capacity for the newly listed Tuscany glass top humidor is 100ct. and the exterior dimensions are slightly larger than the dimensions listed for the El Rey, so this is certainly not a 150 stick capacity, unless you only stock corona size cigars. My inventory consists mostly of robusto and toro sizes, with some coronas, churchills and gordos thrown in for variety, so I would say realistically it stocks maybe 100 considering space needed for humidifiers and hygrometer. Which brings me to my next point, that unless you do not plan to use the tray, you will not be able to use either the 8oz or the smaller 4oz size Black Ice Pie Jars in this humi to supplement the two humidifiers included, that fit in the nice looking tray shelf, because the pie jars stand up too tall to put the tray back in place. For additional humidification, if needed, I'd suggest the Xikar slim humidifier to lay in the bottom or on the tray or the Humicare Powersticks which each only take up the space of one cigar. Overall, very happy with my purchase and the additional locking storage space for my coveted handmades.
I love the glass top humidors and this larger capacity replaced my smaller "beginner" humidor perfectly.
Just received this humidor. Looks nice, shipped and packed well. It is not a 150 capacity though. My 100 Capacity is the same size dimensionally...
Great humidor all around. My only negative would be that it only holds about 70 ish cigars. unless your storing x 40's
After I smoked my first premium handmade in '09 this was the first humi I bought; and many humi's later, it's still my favorite. It's a solid, well-constructed piece, looks great, the glass top makes it easy to monitor the hygrometer without having to open it, and maintenance of the humidity level has never been any problem whatsoever (unlike some of my other humi's) with the two round units included; humidification got even simpler when I graduated to Boveda packs---one 72% pack in the bottom keeps it a perfect 70% for 3 mos.
