You’ll be angry you didn’t try it sooner.
Creating a new Diesel is hard. Creating a new Diesel that outdoes the outstanding core lines is even harder. Almost impossible, actually. But AJ Fernandez stepped up and nailed it…again. This limited edition cigar will blow your mind, that’s a promise.
Diesel Rage showcases an ultra-dark Ecuadorian Habano Sun Grown Oscuro wrapper overtop a perfect recipe of Cuban-seed Nicaraguan long-fillers grown for this project on AJ’s farms. This combination is 100% in sync, uniting to deliver an overload of complex flavors including earth, vanilla, coffee, spices, and cedar, all while offering just enough strength without becoming overpowering. It’s balanced. It’s bold. It’s smooth. It’s complex. It’s unique. It’s Diesel Rage and it’s a premium handmade stroke of genius.
Diesel Rage is the bomb! It has great aroma with a " "Ooweee" flavor. I dig this cigar. You can taste the subtle hints of vanilla that fit in there just right. It's one to keep my humidor. "Fo sho" (for sure).
I love all things Diesel! When the opportunity to try a super premium blend like Rage, at a price point I could afford came along, I opted in. Rage is the 1st vitola from The Chosen Few Sampler I am smoking. My toro is slightly box pressed, which I noticed the regular production cigars, are not. Excellently constructed, it feels heavy in the hand. Pre light aroma is intoxicating. It torches easily & I am up & going strong immediately. Early indications are a full bodied/full flavored smoke, with a degree of smoothness that tempers the overall effect of the powerful ligeros that must be in play with this AJ Fernandez beauty. I can feel its lineage in my gut & I identify its Diesel roots in the toasty, nutty, spicy flavors that linger on the palate & tingle my nose with each retro hale. Incredible! As powerful as Zeus, yet as smooth as silk. I could get used to smoking these, but they are expensive. I do intend to grab up a few more of the CF samplers & store them away for special occasions.
I'm a big Diesel fan, but this one takes you down a new path. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad cigar...it's fabulous! Just don't expect the Diesel your familiar with. This is a must try if you're looking for a great change of pace when it comes to MORE DIESEL!
This is a complex and rewarding smoke. A bit of a departure from the fullness of the line, but a must try if you prefer Nicaraguan tobacco in your cigars. I am anxious for boxes to be available. 2 cigars is an appetizer; a box or two speaks the truth. Cocoa, chocolate, plum and occasional citrus with spice that comes through on the retro hale. Recommended.
