CI Knock-Offs - Compare to Macanudo

Great cigar if you want an everyday cigar. I love inspirado greens and this comes close.

I have reviewed these before, but I wanted to say that these are so much better than the name brand, and you cannot beat the price difference.

I wanted to try out some knock-offs and I came across Macanudo corona, let me say this it’s an amazing taste and consistent smoke from start to finish, its like you transition into a very elegant setting of powerful people chilling having a smoke. I Will be getting more

Honestly, I wish these were their own standalone brand and not referred to as a "compare to", because in my opinion they don't accurately compare to Macanudo Cafe, on some levels I think theyre better. Maybe close, but definitely different. That's the worst thing I can say about them. For reference sake, Im a seasoned veteran of the cigar world. I've puffed everything from cheap machine mades to genuine Cubans. I know what I like and don't like. Cigar preference is a very personal thing and varies for each person, so I'll try to keep this review as unbiased as possible. Construction is spot on. Not perfect like a premium handmade, but for what you're getting, it's excellent. Draw is consistent, not a loose one in any of the bundle I received, and not too tight either. Now the flavor and strength: this is why I don't consider them anything like Macanudo. I think they taste a little better than Macanudo Cafe. They are a little stronger, but solidly in the upper mild to lower mid range. The flavor is what gets me. I absolutely love it. I would say medium flavor profile, prominent notes of leather, slightly grassy, like aged hay, with a nutty finish. In my opinion, Macs have a much more distinct, albeit much less prominent, grass and nut flavor profile. Smoke plume is not thick but not weak either. Thing is, if you truly compare these to Macanudo, they're completely different, HOWEVER, in a good way. I believe this is actually a good step forward for a beginner cigar smoker into a slightly stronger, more flavorful version of a "mild" cigar. For a seasoned veteran, I would say if you like a flavorful mild cigar that won't even come close to breaking the bank, these are perfect. I'm always looking for new diamonds in the rough, and I'd say this one certainly qualifies. I've put these into my regular rotation and will definitely be buying more.

Usually a good deal, but last batch several fell apart and horrible draw. 3 star rating to give a higher rating for the other batches I’ve had that were decent. Get what you pay for I guess.

love these for causal smoke no stress if you can't have the whole thing it doesn't matter. overall, its a really nice everyday smoke

If you are like me, you like your daily cigar and you don't have a $300 cigar budget. CI Knockoffs are certainly Macanudo-adjacent. I have had a lot worse cigar for a higher price.

A perfect afternoon cigar

So far, two of the cigars could not be smoked because they were rolled so tight that any effort to make them smokeable did not work. I don't buy expensive cigars but, I at least would like to be able to buy a pack of good cigars that don't fail.

I am a long time customer of Cigars International and A smoke Aficionado. The rolling is pretty good. The wrapper is little bit thin. The filler is good but it's needs more time in the barn it's a little bit of green. But it's a delicate cigars and I love it. I love CI and I'm not going stop placing an order with these guys. They provide a nice cigars for a reasonable price.

They smoked well

Taste and production of smoke are identical to the Mac. I've never written a review before. But these are still surprising me each time. Construction is weak but that is to be expected for this price.
