Stupendous Flavor with a Fantastic Burn.
Everytime I went to order this Cigar it was always sold out, I was finally able to get The Ave Maria Divinia and I can not tell you how satisfying this Stogie was, The flavor was mild and left an awesome aroma in the room, it tasted fresh amd flavorful all the way to the nub. Ive smoked a lot of cigars where the burn was lopsided but I have smoked 4 of the Divinia's so far and the burn has been even every time. This is hands down one of the best if not the best Cigar I have smoked over the years. I would recommend that every body needs to try it.

Ave Maria Divinia
Possibly the best smoke I have had in a long time. Thank you .. well balanced with a great draw..a little sweetness, rich, but not overpowering. Divinia has an even burn and you can keep it a cool burn. A cigar at peace.

Wonderful Smoke
I don’t spend serious money unless the cigar has earned that right. In this case the only way was to try it once and see if it made the cut. I was blown away with this smoke, VERY smooth, ample smoke and great little notes just kept popping up making my satisfaction complete. This is a great smoke, certainly not every day, but I put a few up for when that craving strikes me. Recommend a definite try.

Great smoke
Really great smoke. Is it worth $14 - $16 a stick,....... I don’t think so. A solid 9 or 10 dollar smoke though. I only buy them when CI runs some sampler specials and they work out to be like $4 each. That always puts a smile on my face. This last 5 pack was free with any order over like $125, or something to that affect. That REALLY puts a smile on my face. In my opinion, the Divinia is the best in the Ave Maria line.

Awsome Cigar
This is my new cigar for special occasions, it will have you at the first pull of this ultra fine stick.

The price is too HIGH. I do not need the fancy box to enjoy the cigar. If it lowers the price without the box, it is a win.

Awful
Got the Divinia's as part of a sample pack. I was excited to try them due to the good reviews. Not sure what the hype is about as I couldn't even get halfway through one because the taste was so bad. I paid about $4.50 for the stick. Imagine my horror at seeing these priced about $14 a cigar. You're paying for a fancy box and label, not a good cigar.

Fantastic Smokes
Not as spicy as most of the cigars that AJ Fernandez has a hand in, but definitely one of the most enjoyable. I love most of what AJ touches but the Divinia is different because they have a creaminess that comes through while retaining the incredible Nicaraguan pepper notes. If you have not tried these, do yourself a favor and get them today...On second thought, wait until I have bought some more.

Used to be one of my favorite cigars but no longer
I loved these cigars so much that I recently ordered 50 more. I was looking forward to 'cigar smoking bliss' as the previous ones had been near-perfect. This batch, however, was horrible....with wrappers lifting off, cracking and splitting. The draw was overly tight on all of them. I had to send the remainder of the order back. I'm very sad.

Not worth it.
Well constructed burns very well. During the first third I got a nice light cedar with a peppery finish. On the transition to the second third I was picking up a citrus with a light spice about at the halfway mark it shifted to a full blown full body. The final third was very complex and vastly different bringing leather and tobacco flavor and a chocolaty finish. While this cigar is a great smoke the price point of $17 dollars a stick gives it a huge cut for me. I would be good at $10-$12.

surprisingly easy draw made it a quick smoke; even burn. 1st third was light, notes of cocoa and the bitterness of walnuts. second 1/3 got more intensely chocolate and sweetened on the tongue. last third still chocolate notes but got a little bitter again. got em on special! thanks CI!

A refined smoke for the ages
Received as part of a sampler pack. Quickly became one of my top 5 cigars for special occasions. Huge amounts of smoke, easy draw, and the flavor is mild, consistent, and bountiful. There are a lot of cigars that try too hard to stand out and end up getting in their own way. This cigar is perfectly balanced and smooth. I encourage you to stop reading reviews and jump on this one; your only regret will be not ordering it sooner.

Decent smoke if you buy on sale
Very nice construction, no big veins, good cap, box pressed Toro. Immediate dominant chocolate flavor, with some raisin and citrus hints. Very creamy and draws like a wind tunnelin a good way). Only aged a couple weeks in my humidor. Nothing complex or amazing about this stick yet. I'm going to let the other 4 rest for a few months. I don't think I would buy a box of these but if on sale in the r dollar range they are worth a try.

IMO In my opinion
Most cigars have a harsh start fresh out of the pack, not the entire first thins but harsh none the less. I find that they become better smokes once they've cured in my humidor for about 30 days. The divinia was nice, but in another week I'm most certain that it will be great

I chose these cigars as part of a “Build Your Own” combo before Christmas and I was not disappointed. These are beautiful cigars with a gorgeous and ornate wrapper. Not bad. When I first got them, they seemed a little dry and somewhat harsh. Time in the humidor has made them a smoother and more pleasing smoke.

Normally a favorite
Don’t understand the difference, but I let these rest a while in the humidor and they are just not very good, but the Divinia is normally one of my favorite cigars. A bad cigar here or there I get but I’m 3/3 at this point on a normally fantastic cigar.

Perfect Draw
Smoked a pair of these with my brother-in-law for NYE. Great smoke! Very clean and full draw. Good flavor and quality smoke. No issues with dryness or flaking. Must have been rolled well for the draw I was able to pull. Got a 5 pack so looking forward to the next one.

Solid Choice
I smoked the perfecto Divinia on Christmas Day paired with Smoking Gun Coffee Port (a present!) and had a delightful experience. The Divinia's wrapper was a little fragile but the couple cracks did not interfere at all. Unlike the Reconquista, the Divinia does not have a powerful black pepper aroma, which I find annoying. Rather it was a lovely balance of spices and a subtle note of pepper toward the end. The burn was even and provided copious smoke. It is not my most favorite cigar, but I would never be embarrassed to offer it to a good friend. unquestionably a solid choice.
4 out of 5
loose wrapper!
good flavor, nice burn, only had to relight once. Only issue I had was that wrapper started to unravel half way through. happened on three sticks. wasn't a humidor issue because other cigars in sampler didn't have issues. Won't order again.

Great Cigar
This cigar is absolutely incredible. The draw is extra easy, makes me feel like I don’t even have to inhale this thing. It’s like auto-smoke. Perhaps the coolest thing about this cigar is that my hands don’t smell like an ashtray afterward. I smell like quality tobacco. One of the better cigars I've had in a while. Definitely keeping for special occasions. A bit expensive though. I would say having this with the rum pairing, or maybe a good Irish whisky.

My God in heaven! I was lucky enough to score this in a perfecto size , definitely a absolute favorite. 2 inches in and ash still holding. Started off over the top strong but now has mellowed to a smooth yet strong finish. Definitely buying more when possible. Paired with an Imperial IPA.

If you haven't tried one yet, you're missing out.
I got to try one as a single. Best. Cigar. I've. Ever. Had. I like the original Ave Maria, not so much a fan of the Argentum. This one is knocked out of the park though. Well done, Ave Maria. I'll be picking up a box for special occasions.

1948 Toro sampler
Excellent cigar. Smoke this baby nice and slow. The light is mild then comes the pepper for about an inch and then disappears but comes back until half way. The rest of this baby is a nice aroma a slightly creamy. Been smoking it for almost 2 hours and down to the nub...still excellent.
4 out of 5
Pleasant smoke
Well constructed and draws well, like all Ave Marias. This is a medium strength cigar with a bit of spiciness up front, which smoothes out as you smoke it down. No prominent flavor really stands out to me, but a nice, pleasant refined smoothness permeates this cigar all the way through. Not something that I would smoke regularly, as the price doesn't justify it, but a nice, mellow afternoon smoke to have for a special occasion when you're not looking to get blown away by a full flavored smoke, but want something smooth that has enough body to let you know that you're smoking a good cigar.

1948 Toro
Unlike the other reviews I did not like the cigar because of the taste. At the beginning there was a little pepper. A quarter of the way was a let down, very bland.

Paints a tasty picture!
I 100% guilty of purchasing this cigar strictly because I thought it was quite attractive looking. I am so glad I judged this book by it's cover. This is now my favorite cigar, and will always have them stocked in my humidor. I thought it started out with a nice spice, and then it sweetens out, and stays pretty consistent all the way down to the nub. The promo when I bought this box, also came with the Ave Maria Morning Star Perfecto sampler, and I will honestly say that I don't think Ave Maria makes a bad cigar.

This is a great, smooth, and perfectly made stick. Not over powering, but very flavorful. Definitely worth trying.
4 out of 5
Great smoke for the price
This was supposed to be a "heavenly" smoke: it was very good, not great. More full bodied than I imagined (not really a Medium-Full) it was beautifully constructed, but did not draw as easily as I thought it would and had a stronger "earth" taste than nutty. That being said, for the price, it was a very good smoke. Using the Cigar Aficionado Rating Scale, I give it an 88.

Fantastic Cigar
One of my favorite Cigars for special Occasions, Spicy Finish. Tons of smoke. Just wish they were more affordable!
3 out of 5
Medium body at most
Smoking it right now... Very well constructed cigar with a nice artwork on a ring. I think it should not be advertised as a Med-Full body cigar as it's more on the mild side, maybe Medium at most. You cannot compare it to El Rey Del Mundo, San Lotano Maduro and other Med-Full cigars therefor I had to take two stars off for that. Otherwise, great job by the maker.

Ave Maria Divinia
This is one of my favorite cigars of all time. Even before lighting, the aroma was appealing. After lighting, the great flavors really came out. My cigar smoking buddy was even impressed. The price may be a little steep for some, but definitely worth the price. This would be a good cigar to reward yourself for whatever reason that you can conjure, whether valid or not. It's no wonder they are often back-ordered.

The Hottest Brand going
A.J. Fernandez has created another masterpiece. My humidor is never void of Ave Maria cigars. They are superbly constructed, complex, smooth and elegantly presented. I have yet to smoke an Ave Maria that wasn't virtually perfect. Last on the list is the Reconquista. I have tried everything else. Bravo Abdel!!!

Awsome wrapper and taste
Hail Mary!! Abdel does it again. yeah it's that good!perfectly balanced and opens with that orange creamcicle flavor some note as "citrus".the draw is effortless and the burn even. the flavors are more complex the the original line and the spanish press makes the this cigar easy to keep in your mouth for the duration which was over an hour! BOXWORTHY!!

Amazing blend, amazing smoke.
If you've smoked any of the other Ave Maria line, you already know that they are a superb brand. I have smoked their "original" as well as the Reconquista line. The Divinia Toro isn't as full flavored as the Reconquista, based on my own "scientific" taste testing. While it's not as full flavored as other offerings, it definitely has flavor. The draw is smooth, with pretty consistent tastes throughout.
Customer Testimonials
A beautiful cigar in construction and presentation. It has one of the most beautiful labels in the cigar industry. The taste is great and fits the description. Great cigar.
It's hard to properly judge a cigar's virtues with just one stogie, but that is the position I am currently faced with Ave Maria Divinia. The 2nd log I have sparked up from The Chosen Few Sampler. Six of AJ Fernandez's mega blends, all with hefty price tags, much ado & appropriately based lineages. Rage was very nice, complex, full bodied & difficult to nail down in the 2 hours I smoked the vitola. Divinia is a creamy smooth, medium bodied, box pressed stick that is heavy, perfectly constructed & alive with complex flavors. Mild spices, medium leather & fully changing waves of cashews, caramel & sweet peat, accompanied by floral notes. One beef I have is the size & number of bands it has. They look great, but the smaller one peeled off a section of the wrapper leaf & the big-un was in the way & had to be removed before lighting. Oh, & they normally cost about 15 simoleans per spleef. Thanks to CI, I have only $5.50 invested in this wonderful example of the higher blending arts. Now I can afford to sock away a few of these for a rainy day or special occasion. Also I can give them a better, more thorough examination & review after having partaken of at least a fiver. For now, let's just say Ave Maria Divinia is awesome! Go for a 4-pack if you have the means, or try them for much less in the above mentioned sampler. Even mild smokers should find this blend enchanting & a good, if too expensive window into the world of more robust & full bodied cigars.
I got these on the pre-release deal and it was definitely worth it! If you like Ave Maria`s, try `em out! they are definitely a great smoke! They will not disappoint!
Divina was my first Ave Maria I smoked. It was an excellent cigar and I enjoyed every puff. Right after, I ordered a box of Lionheart. I hope they are as good as Divina.
