The finest ACID yet.
No cigar has built a following quite like ACID by Drew Estate. Through a unique infusion process, Jonathan Drew takes traditional cigars made with superior, aged tobaccos and carefully enhances them with select oils, herbs, and botanicals. This process produces an extremely unique cigar with savory flavor profiles and hypnotizing aromas.ACID Opulence 3 takes things up a notch, thanks to a beautiful, aged San Andres maduro wrapper that’s rich, chewy, and loaded with natural oils. Beneath this leaf, a complex mixture of vintage, Cuban-seed long-fillers from Nicaragua was blended. After a painstaking infusion process, the Opulence 3 delivers a delicious array of rich tobacco flavors with a sweet, aromatic influence. The profile is deep in intriguing flavors and satisfying from start to finish, giving you a truly one-of-a-kind experience from the creative genius of Drew Estate.

I love this cigar.
This cigar is very unique and when I say unique I mean, smoking this thing was kinda intimate. TASTY RICH SMOKE, SMOOTH FROM BEGINNING TO THE END. NO BITE OR BITTERNESS AT ALL. NEVER WENT OUT AND THE ASH WAS JUST HANGING THERE. Beside of the sweet tip this isn't one of Drew Estate infused cigars to me. More mild than medium, but leaves you wanting to smoke it to the nub! This would be my daily smoke hands down, but as of now I can't afford it to be....THIS IS A MUST TRY CIGAR.
What a excellent cigar. Easy draw and burns great. It has a really nice favor as well. You can't go wrong! Try one and see for yourself!
I'm falling in love with this lovely lady. Very tasty and seductive. Don't think, just buy.
I don't think much of aging flavored (infused) cigars, but these got so much better with two months in the humi. They're much less floral, greater quality, and better priced than Kuba Kuba.
Not a flavored smoke guy, but this stick is a great cigar! Slight ACID flavor, great tobacco flavor and a great roll. Give me a box.
It was a good smoke. Definitely in my top 10.
As I stated in my previous post.... good time to reorder. And what a sweet deal a 10 pack for 37.50 and with Father's Day right around the corner, I treated myself to a few other goodies. 5 pack of kuba kubas and c- notes. June and July will be FUN!!
GOOD,GOOD,GOOD it tastes like kuba kuba only a bit stronger. I bought a 5 pack in April and I'm down to one. It is time to reorder.
This is now one of my favorite cigars!
Very good smoke I would recommend it.
What a Great Cigar, Start to finish, worth every penny, can't find this Cigar around town, Thank You CI.. JB Sr
I've become a real fan of acid cigars. This one ranks right up there. So far I consider it my 3rd favorite Acid. My favorite is the Java Mint, 2nd favorite is the Def Sea and coming in at # 3 is the Opulence 3.
Supreme quality cigar! Mind blowing bouquet was a dream experience. Robust musky/manly notes reminded me of some of the colognes I've worn in the past. Would def recommend.
The wife likes these, personally the Kuba Maduro is much better. This cigar has alot more clove taste to it than all the other Acids. In terms of Maduro's in the Acid lineup (which I am a fan of) Kuba Maduro ranks supreme, then the toast, then the Opie3. I give it a rating of 85. The wife would say 100........
I had the chance to try a 5-pack of the Opulence 3s. I did not like this cigar. I cannot say very many positives about the flavor profile as it did not suit my personal taste at all. I found it rather repulsive with very little actual tobacco flavor. I can state that this cigar is very well put together, burns nicely, and has a nice draw! I an not a Drew Estates hater, and enjoy several of the ACID line of cigars, just not this one.
Man, I have to say that this is my favorite cigar. I have tried many of the brands we all see out there: Cohiba, Perdomo, Rocky Patel, Gurkha etc, etc. They are all good, even great, in their own respects but I have to say that Drew Estates trumps them all when it comes to construction, flavor, finish and just general tastiness when they created the Opulence 3. I have other favorites, Acids and others, but if I recommend one cigar for a new smoker or old smoking friend to try, it is this one. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
I agree with the clove comment. I was given one by a friend. Although I just bought some ORIGINAL Gurka legends, and enjoy my Pepin's, Vegas Miami yummy, I have been on a lighter side, G2, Champagne. 5 gold etc kick. I hate cloves, when I smell a clove cig. I have to get away for fear of upchuck factor. If you do like cloves, great construction, burn... Although I've only been given acid "quite a few times, I mean "ACIDS." Um, Cold Tea is my fav.
Not for me! I was definitely open to the idea of a flavored smoke, but after smoking 2 of 5 pack, and holding one in my hand (unlit) now... it is a floral smell combined with clove. I was looking for some sweetness or a nice flavor, but it is just an odd combo - like soap? Don't mind the floral, or even the clove, but together it is not appealing. Do like flavored coffee/sweet occassionally, and love the Liga Privadas from Drew Estate! I don't even like to put these in my humi as they stink up the others. I'm happy to do that with other flavored blends. But, hey, smoke what YOU like.
Loved the Opulence 3 from the first puff. Excellent flavor. Good burn. Will need to order more and possibly send a 5-pack to a friend. Not much for words so that is it short and to the point.
This is my favorite! While I was deployed to Afghanistan, I began smoking a lot of cigars to pass some of the time. I happened upon one of the Opulence 3's and fell in love with them. I love medium to full bodied cigars, but this one was a change. It was so sweet and had a very distinct aroma that kept me wanting more. I probably spent over 2k on cigars while I was deployed, and I will call myself somewhat of a connoisseur of sorts, but this is my number 1 favorite of all time. I always keep a few of these in my humidor. I will be leaving again this April to Afghanistan again and you can bet that I will be purchasing many more of these. Thanks ACID!
Opened up the humi yesterday and started looking over my little collection of beauties. I was in the mood for something different and spotted an "Acid Opulence 3". I thought "Yeah, I need to try this already". Haven't formed a solid opinion on the ACID line yet because of mixed experiences. First thing I notice is the top shelf, quality construction. This thing just felt great in the hand. Upon lighting, the very pleasant aroma was just a hint of things to come. For the next hour or so I was to have my best ACID experience to date. The taste was perfect with just the right amount of flavor, the burn was perfect with a nice firm ash, and plumes of smoke that I guarantee will get favorable notice from many a nearby. This cigar is definately a "must try". A masterpiece from the Drew Estate. The "ACID Opulence 3" is nothing short of amazing!!!
For everyone who knocks flavored cigars or can't take the heavy aroma of Kuba Kuba or Blondie, you gotta try this before closing the door on Acid. This is a very high quality cigar with a wonderful, rich aroma and a perfect draw and burn. The infusion is more subtle and the smoking experience is second to none. Look, I love VSG, Perdomo ESV91, and many other standard cigars but Acid 3 will always have a place in my rotation.
I'm gonna break from the pack here and say that Drew Estates needs to get some new flavors. Not to say this cigar isn't good, it's an outstanding maduro-ish Acid, but it isn't anything different from a majority of the other Acid's and Naturals. If you love that Acid taste, here it is. Myself, I choose the Deep Dish over this one.
I tried this cigar because my son gave me a single one as a Christmas gift. I ended up ordering a box. This is a cigar that creates a smoking experience I can only describe as "intimate". I can't describe how good it is because you have to try it to believe-the Fan Mail reviews are actually true. Acid has nailed this one to the wall.
If you have not tried this OUTSTANDING cigar...you really need to. Let first tell you I was not a big fan of ACID cigars, thought it was a good, but they always left me wanting a real cigar, then came the Opulence 3, It is well made, great long and even burn, prefect draw, and that wonderful maduro wrapper with that of course Acid taste. Great cigar, on my second box, will order more very soon, maybe today!
WOW WOW WOW!!! Did I said WOW? This cigar is just the best cigar ever. If I said WOW that means you need to try this cigar. The reviews are all true and I took the advice and did it.
Let me start my saying CI kicks! I e-mail my order on a Wednesday afternoon, and my sticks are on my desk the next day...very cool! I am a huge Drew estate fan, that's all I smoke. Started with the KUBA KUBA and now my smoke is the Natural Dirt Torpedo. I just took advantage of the great ACID flight for $40.00. In this selection of Drew estate finest is one I had never had; ACID 3 Opulence, this cigar is great! One of the best I have had. I just wish I discovered it in the spring. I enjoy smoking, but the CT winters make it hard to enjoy I long smoke. See you in April.
This delicious Madura has all of the bliss of an Acid, with the distinct perfection that only Drew Estate can offer. I am used to the 1400cc Tubos and the Kuba Kubas as well as the Earth flavored cigar by ACID, but truly this cigar brings new meaning to the cigar industry. Within its decadent beauty lies a flavor that is very similar to the 1400cc, but hidden within lies the beast of a V12. The flavor is not subtle by any means, but, within the first 10 minutes of sparking this baby up, you will question why you haven't tried these up until this point. With sweet undertones, and a slightly creamy and spiced taste, this Maduro goes well beyond anything I've ever experienced. I would highly recommend trying this cigar; I guarantee, you will NOT be disappointed.
All I can say it's the best Acid around. I look all around for this O3 but couldn't find them anywhere. The only place I see where you can get it is CI. Try it you'll really love them.
I'm with KC on this one, in fact I bought a 5-pack to try out on KC's fanmail alone and this is now on my list of "gotta get a box for my ACID-only cigar humidor. I've tried just about all the ACID line and just started calling myself Mister C.A.N.- Certified Acid Nut! I'm not a big fan of maduros but you absolutely have to try this one, doesn't give you any light-headed effects at all (like some have). When you take it out of the wrapper it has that pleasant well-known ACID scent. The initial tasting-before-lighting ceremony was just as pleasant, smooth sweet taste but not too sweet. As I was lighting it and drawing on it, the initial flavor impact was not what I expected- it was super! I'm about 1/3 of the way down as I wrote this and even the scent coming off the burning end is pleasant, not like the "normal" smell you have when burning a cigar let alone a maduro. It does burn quite evenly I have a 2" ash that is just about perfect all the way around. It has a nice combination of flavors as it burns, not too sweet but yet you know you have a well-made ACID in your hands and upon your lips.No bitter after-taste either after not having drawn upon it for some time now either. Quality at it's best, ACID never ceases to amaze me on their top-notch quality standards. If, after you've read our reviews, you are still unsure, try a 5-pack and give it the benefit of the doubt, you won't be sorry.
Wow - that was my reaction after smoking this cigar. I have smoked boxes of padrons, Rocky Patel, etc, etc. and nothing has quite tasted like this. It hands down beats the Kuba Kuba. When you take this out of the package, you can just tell it is a well made cigar. It is a maduro and is an infused cigar. But, the Opulecence cigar tastes much more real than the normal infused cigar. It burns evenly and you can tell the cigar is rolled well due to the length that you can let the ash burn down to. Lots of smoke as well. Truly amazing. I love this cigar!
