Nicarao Classico is without a doubt one standout cigar, but like my momma used to say, the proof is in the puddin’. And this puddin' sure is good. Each Classico is carefully crafted in Nicaragua, and comes dressed in a Rosado Claro Habano wrapper from the fertile region of Jalapa. This leathery brown leaf melds with a long-filler recipe of Nicaraguan tobaccos, to create a hearty medium-bodied gem. Billows of white smoke complement a well-balanced array of wood, leather, and spices before a toasty tobacco core rounds out this scrumptious handmade. Medium-bodied and lip-smacking from start to finish, the Classico is proof small-batch handmades still reign supreme.
“Picked up a 5 pack of these on MMAO; had my first, a Churchill, last night. Overall, unimpressive. The draw was extremely loose and there were some major construction issues. The flavors were very strong burnt wood and white pepper. Medium and pretty smooth. I'll let the next four sit for a while and see if things change...hopefully for the better.”
