This enchanting cigar will have you at hello. First, the shape. La Aurora Puro Vintage is an exceedingly rare cigar (only 12,000 cigars were created), crafted into a beautiful Salamone shape. A vitola only the highest level rollers can accomplish. Next, the wrapper, an oily, leathery Ecuadorian leaf boasting a lovely reddish hue. This exquisite wrapper hugs a bold mixture of Cuban-seed Dominican long-fillers secured by a Dominican binder. Best of all, every leaf - from filler to wrapper - was cultivated in the same year - 2003 and 2004 depending on the size - and enjoyed a cedar-aging process of 5 years prior to rolling. This produces an intense variety of chewy, leathery flavors. A touch of spice and cedar complement the medium-bodied core, which is buttery smooth from start to finish.
It ain't cheap....but the best rarely is.
La Aurora Puro Vintage just received a well-deserved '92' rating, noting: "A large, beautifully made diadema whose draw saturates the palate with rich smoke full of coffee bean flavors and lush, meaty fruits. This will undoubtedly age well."
“Love this stick! I tend to smoke 7-12 cigars a week and sample a large variety. This cigar is among my top 5 favorites. Consistent draw & burn. Love the flavor!”

“I got a five pack of these on the Jam a while back and just around to taking one out of the humi today. This stick didn't want to stay lit and had an almost impossible draw, kept having to take double or triple puffs to get anything out of it. I will see how the rest go, but so far a big disappointment.”
