Joya de Nicaragua Fuerte Serie B Sale

Enjoy Blowout Pricing as low as $29.99 on Joya de Nicaragua Fuerte Serie B!

Oh baby!

The maker of Joya de Nicaragua Antanos is Alejandro Martinez-Cuenca - close your eyes and picture the Dos Equis beer, most-interesting-man-in-the-world guy....that's basically him. His Joya de Nicaragua has been a national treasure in Nicaragua for decades now but it's the Antanos blend specifically, with its butt-kicking strength and complexity, that is clearly the bright firefly in the Joya de Nicaragua jar.

That's why Joya de Nicaragua Fuerte Serie B is so interesting. I don't want to call it an Antanos 2nd exactly because that's only partially true. The filler blend is slightly different, made with a bold combination of Cuban-seed Criollo long-fillers from Esteli, Condega, and Jalapa valleys of Nicaragua. The wrapper however is the same as Antanos - a beautiful Nicaraguan-grown Colorado shade leaf. The combination delivers a combo that's deep and dense with a robust array of earthy, Cuban-esque qualities....bold to the core but well-balanced. Thick chewy layers of flavor coat the palate with each puff as hearty spices fill the nostrils and blanket the taste buds during the exhale. The full-bodied crescendo will have you reaching for another just as you nub the last. And at this price, lighting up another is easily justifiable.

Uneven burn
This cigar has consistently burned at a weird angle. Taste is soso.

Joya de Nicaragua, decent for the price
As always I let my purchases rest in the humidor for a week or two before I really taste them. This made a large difference. The Joya is a good smoke for the price. A thick flavor , at times a bit spicy. well made , burns like a premium should, even and consistent.

An Average Smoke
This is your average cigar, on par with Rocky Patel's Cargo, but just slightly bolder. Some issues with uneven burning, but otherwise not bad.

Thanks CI
WOW!!! This full bodied smoke is complex, smooth and awesome on any occasion. I found this one in a brown bag special and is a must have in the humidor. Just ordered my second bundle.

Joya de Nicaragua with a Boost
Nice kick. Burns well. Lacks the smoothness of regular Joyas but makes up for that with the full strength and the price. Tends to burn hot.

Joya de Nicaragua Serie B Corona Gorda
If this is Joya de Nicaragua's budget line their best stuff must be unbelievable. The B series draws great, has a sweet and satisfying flavor profile and smokes smoothly to the nub. Out of a bundle of 20 only one had draw issues. Some corrections were needed on the burn, but that's about the worst thing I can say about these sticks. Great budget handmade. Viva Joya De Nicaragua!

Joya de Nicaragua Fuerte Serie B Corona Gorda
I got one of these in the brown bag sampler. So far it has been my favorite of the bunch. It's a small cigar, but still a lengthy smoke. Good flavor, burned evenly and was just a very enjoyable smoke. I'll definitely buy these in the future.

Very nice cigar for the price on the 1 to 10 I give it an 8 good taste, nice ash and burned smooth. Laid them down for a while and they got smoother the longer i had them. The Crazy Dago

Wow. Love at first light.
Ill keep it simple for this review. If you are someone who likes a fuller bodied cigar, do not waste any time, pick up a bundle today. For the price as well as my great experience with these cigars as far as flavor, and quality, you cannot beat it. This is not going to be the most amazing cigar you have ever had, or the most full bodied, but it will still be a very enjoyable, rich, and robust smoke. It is very bold with lots of thick smoke. Has very earthy notes, with lots of pepper. It has definitely won a permanent spot in my humidor.

It's OK
Not what I would normally expect from Joya but all the quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail are there. The blend has a decent flavor but is just a tad too harsh for me. I think maybe mine are a little raw. I'm going to sink them in my humidor for a year or so and come back and see how they are.

Good Taste but Poor Burn
A little difficult to really rate this cigar. The taste was very good when the burn was even. Unfortunately, this was the exception rather than the rule. Very uneven burn and difficult draw. Like I said, difficult to rate because when it was burning and drawing smoothly, the taste was very good. Otherwise, it was hot and bitter and the bitterness wasn't from the pepper. I can't recommend this one.

The serie B Toro was an easy draw burned evenly with average smoke. The flavor doesn't seem to be at the same level as the Joya de Nicaragua I've know in the past. Over all it was acceptable a little pricey.

nice strong cigar
A little harsh at times, but great long strong smoke. I will seriously consider reordering these robustos.

Poorly Constructed
Uneven burn and lightly packed. These feel as if they put wrappers on poorly constructed 2nds. 2nd bundle was exactly the same. The tobacco itself was good. I've been a Joya fan for over 30 years and i can't remember having as lousy a smoke as this.

One of my favorites.
I like all of the JdN cigars, but my preference is for the medium sized ones like the Corona Gorda and the Rosalones. They are quite mild for medium - full flavored, and well constructed. Slow, cool and even burn.

Just ordered 2 more bundles of these fine cigars. Great flavor and construction. I would say they compare favorably with the Punch maduro robusto, my go to cigar.

Not quite the Antanio 1970 but tons of flavor and always from JYD perfect roll and burn I keep these in the humidor.

I bought these on the make an offer tab and after two rejected offers my accepted offer was more than the catalogue price. Feeling a bit slighted although still a great cigar at a great value!

Excellent Joy!!
Just smoked this dandy. I got it with one of your samplers. I found this fine cigar to be exactly as you advertised. I was afraid that it would be to bold for me but actually loved this aspect. It was bold in flavor, which I loved. Not too spivey at all. I am retired & on a fixed income and the angel I hitched to only budgets me a few $$$ a month. I can finally smoke a better cigar with these beauty's. Thanks for your great products.

Much too Light!
I have found the regular N de Joy's too strong with little complexity in the past so I avoided purchasing them. When I saw this advertised as a milder version with the same flavor I thought I would try them. They are far too mild and have very little flavor that I can taste. The good news is that I offer them to those who don't smoke often and they think they are great. So at least I can give them one of these rather than have to give up a cigar I would enjoy.

Nice stick for the money, satisfying and slightly spicy with a rich tobacco finish.

Number 1 in my book.
I felt compelled to write a second review on this cigar. Smokeable and terrific right off the truck, I put 20 to bed for 8 months......Just that much better! this may be my absolute favorite cigar at any price from any country.

Customer Testimonials
Med/full smoke, nice flavors, good taste up front. Nothing fancy, burns good, flavors ok for the price. I would only buy again on a deal. Not a cigar I will be on the lookout for.
I'm a big fan of the JdN Antano 1970 and wanted to try a different one. There's not much more to say than what everyone else has already stated. I completely agree with CS of Madisonville, this is a fantastic cigar paired with a dark ale, bock or stout. IMHO I didn't find this particular Fuerte that strong or spicy and would say it's more on the medium side of strength. Definitely going to be adding this little gem to the rotation.
These have very good flavor and smoothness with a slight cinnamon aftertaste. Very pleased with serie B after reading other people's reviews and giving them a shot. Cinnamon did not sound like a good flavor to me in a cigar, but it works out well with this blend.
The JdN Fuerte Serie B is a great cigar. It's amazing $2 per stick price makes it perhaps the most outstanding value on the entire site. I have smoked many older Cuban cigars and this little powerhouse is reminiscent of the best of them. It has the earthiness, spice and full-throttle experience that I have come to love about the modern era Nicaraguan cigars.
“I bought the "Legal Limit 18-Cigar Sampler III" wanting to expand my pallet into the Full strength cigars and thought I'd write a review from a novice's point of view. I found it not as earthy or spicy as described, which is good(just getting used to full flavored), but it was a robust fully flavored, well balanced smoke. I didn't want it to end!!!
I've bought these twice. My first bundle was okay, especially for the low cost. My second was on the bitter side with some extremely bitter. If I were to buy these again, I would do so and age them for a while to see if they improve.
This is a fine cigar at a very reasonable price. I find them earthy and leathery, with not a lot of spice. Definitely a medium-bodied smoke, though you may get a bit of the "fuerte" as you get down to the end. Bought these on a whim as I tend to like Nicaraguan cigars. Not disappointed! If there is one minor takeaway, it would be that the band is too big, but it is a nice looking band!
This is just a nice cigar. I like a cigar that lets you know you're smoking a cigar, so I'm definitely a fan of JdN. The Serie B isn't as powerful as my La Nivedoras, but it's spicy, a little sweet, and has a definite kick. The toro seems like the right size, for me--I really don't feel like lighting another as soon as I finish one. I feel satisfied and content. Stands up well enough with a good single malt, or with morning coffee. Burns nice with plenty of smoke, but I've learned not to let the same side point toward the AC or open window all the time. I like these so well, I ordered a bigger humidor.
These are really good cigars. I hate to say "good cigars for the price" because these deserve better than that. These are flavorful, beautifully constructed, and a joy to smoke. These may not be Antano's or Dark Corojo's, but they are close in quality and the cost is a whole lot less. One of the best bundle cigars I've ever tried.
I'm a big fan of the Joya De Nicaragua line and it's nice to discover that the Fuerte Serie B doesn't disappoint. It's a nice full-bodied stick at a great price point. I highly recommend it.
Great smoke. This sat for a day in my humi because I just couldn't wait to try them. Great cigar, nice even burn with great flavor, for the price of this bundle I'll definitely be adding them to my humidor more often.
This is my daily smoke now and has been for years. You just can't beat the quality, flavor and price from Ci anywhere!
JdN Fuerte Series B is a medium bodied smoke. Flavors were of earth, cinnamon, leather and dark roast coffee. Finish was semi sweet dark fruit and earth. Short finish. Draw was slightly snug with good smoke output. Construction was good. Overall not as complex as the Antano 1970, but worth the price. Solid 89 for me. Lil complexity but consistent
I just got a 20 count bundle in the mail today and I couldn't wait to smoke this puppy. After putting my kids to bed I immediately went outside and lit this thing up. My first impression (first half inch or so) was, "This thing is pretty good..." Now that I'm almost done with this gem, I am blown away at how good it is for the price. Rich, flavorful, spicy, full-bodied, perfect draw, tons of smoke...I can't believe what I paid for such a tasty work of art. I smoke a lot of different cigars and I usually go back to the DPG Cuban Classic when I want a quality medium-full cigar... With this one experience I think I've found a replacement. The DPG is still great, but I must say this is better... And for less than half the cost of the Cuban Classic! Definitely will be ordering this one again and again. Makes me want to explore the rest of the Joya de Nicaragua line. Great marketing CI!
Call me crazy, but I easily put this up there with the Liga Privada #9. I get many of the same great tastes. Spice, pepper, cinnamon, delivered in a smooth and balanced fashion. Construction and draw were great. I did have some issues keeping it lit, but I smoked it right out of the bundle, so I think it needs some time in the humi. As someone mentioned earlier, these could easily be put in a box and sold for much more, (Shhhhh). If you're on the fence, pick one up (or a bundle), I pretty sure you will enjoy it.
This is a very nice cigar (medium flavor-wise, fairly strong nicotine-wise), no issues what so ever. They only rested one day since I got them before I tried one. Nice flavors, very smooth (no harshness), nice burn (a little uneven at times but so what), ash held on - didn't fall until I tapped it off, best smelling cigar ever (pre-light), great CI price, there's nothing not to like, buy em and enjoy em.
The best cigar you will find with Ci !!! If you are looking for a cigar that has power and taste then this is it.
I am a huge fan of Full bodied Cigars and good deals.... The Fuerte B is the one to beat in this class. Great flavor, consistency, complexity, balance and price. It is not the easiest cigar on the eyes in the world but this is a true "Diamond in the Rough." This is really the only cigar in my Humidors that has a re-order point of over 20, I am never without these.
I've always been a fan of the JDN Antano and Dark Corojo, but a little pricey to be smoking everyday. The series B, though, is priced for everyday and delivers the big league smoke and taste a full bodied cigar should. Can't imagine not having these in my humidor. Thanks, guys!
Very nice peppery and flavorful full bodied cigar that retains it's character throughout the smoke. Very consistent from stick to stick. If not the best, then one of the best values in a Full bodied cigar. This cigar remains a staple in my arsenal.
I think the Serie B is a spicy, flavourful cigar. When I initially lit my first one, I felt I was almost being assulted by pepper, but it calmed down a bit very shortly and I very much enjoyed the first of the cigar. It also has the advantage of not being expensive.
Just good! Just plain good. Not plain tasting, but PLAIN GOOD !!! This is a very good tasting, well made, nice burning, excellent cigar at any price. Better than the Antano I think, and much better than some "premium" priced cigars I've had.
I just smoked a JdN Fuerte that was gifted to me at a recent herf, and it was, without a doubt, the best bundle cigar I've ever smoked ... Coffee, cinnamon and mild chocolate flavors, but solid, good tasting and delivered the promised strength and body unwaveringly without cheating on the tobacco to get there like some manufacturers do. Dr. Cuenca could be putting these in boxes and charging a LOT more for them. I don't say that to encourage putting it in a box, but rather to tie it to the perceptions of the masses and how they seem to place cigars.
I've only smoked cigars for about 14 years, so i dont get all this b.s. about floral, coffee, nut and spice, but this cigar with a few Shiner Bocks was fantastic.
What a smoke! The wrapper has the look of a fine leather, in the pre-light you could already taste the spice. The draw and burn was perfect. Earthy I got hints of toast & coco, just a bit of pepper at the finish.
Like most CI members that leave fan mail, I will start off by saying whenever I order something based on what I've read, I'm always going to be a doubting Thomas. Let me get onto the deck in the ol' adirondack chair, brew in hand and find out for myself. I'm a sampler. Always looking for that next superb smoke. Joya is right up there for me. It's not up there with my favorite Ashton, Rocky or Gurkha BUT it's not anywhere near their cost and so what because I really enjoyed this cigar. Too strong for my morning smoke but perfect in the evening after dinner. Lots of flavor, nice even burn at an excellent price.
wow just got my bundle of jdn b robusto.didnt even put them in humi yet.paired it with an armenac great taste burn nice grey tight ash.not over powering med to full.great after taste.lasted an hour .thank you CI .great deals as usual.
Wow...Just lit one of these up it sat in my Humi for about a week...I am by no means a cigar aficionado yet...but the taste on the last 1/2 on this thing was had a peppery start followed by a little weak first 1/2...but the end was just awesome...had it with a dark roast first the coffee overpowered it ..but the last half it beat out the java...the wrapper was not the greatest ...but the binder and filler my opinion was great for the price...
My wife bought me a bundle of these for an anniversary gift. I was a bit skeptical, because I have tried more that a few "value" priced cigars and been disappointed. That being said, I believe she discovered the Holy Grail of cigars. You know, the one that you love that you can actually afford to smoke regularly. I had given up the search, but thanks to CI, discovered them by accident. Excellent construction and appearance, perfect burn, great draw, and more complexity than you would expect from a cigar in this price range.
Wow. If you're an Antano fan, these are a no brainer. Same great JdN flavor with a bit less strength, but still a strong cigar. The toro burns exceptionally long, over an hour smoke. Seriously, this is the best $2.50 cigar I've ever had.
GS.......Shhhhhhh, since Drew Estate would be the importer of these, don't give them the idea that these could be more expensive! Having said that, I echo your comments. A great cigar at a great price. These may be the new "bang for the buck" champion.
this is a great smoke. lit one up as soon as i got them. from start right down to the nub, good draw nice burn, great blend. Then I light another. Same thing. These could easily be more expensive.
