The Gurkha Vintage 1999, vintage blending at its best.
When K. Hansotia of Gurkha cigars gets his hands on vintage tobaccos, great things happen. Case in point, The Gurkha Vintage 1999. Handmade in Honduras, the Gurkha Vintage utilizes a very limited crop of aged long-filler Dominican tobaccos dating back to 1999. This small-batch crop is complemented by Honduran and Nicaraguan long-fillers to create an amazingly complex, yet balanced core. Draped over the outside awaits a juicy Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, completing the medium-bodied ensemble. Each Vintage 1999 reveals a smooth bouquet of leather, nuts, and cocoa before a creamy and cool crescendo. 1999 was a good year, scratch that, great year and the Gurkha Vintage is proof.
