Black Market pulls a hat trick

Way back in 2011, Alan Rubin introduced the Alec Bradley Black Market to the world at the yearly IPCPR in Las Vegas. Since then, the medium-bodied stunner has gone on to win a couple awards, and spawn a couple sequels. First up, we had Black Market Vandal — a super-charged and uber-flavorful blend imbued with an extra-special ligero strain that amped up the flavor in droves. Today, we take a look at Black Market’s mellower side with Vandal The Con, the first Connecticut-wrapped Black Market. 

The crazy packaging and gray and green color scheme might make you think Vandal The Con is a gimmick, a cigar that spent all its time on marketing and none on the blending. But you’d be dead wrong. Vandal The Con is one of the smoothest cigars I’ve ever sampled from the AB crew, thanks to its silky smooth Honduran Connecticut wrapper leaf. Each puff delivers sweet spice, creamy cedar, and slight nuttiness – a most enjoyable combination, at a price that could easily demand twice as much.

Very good smoke and i like when they only make 1 size for the cigar to come in. This one being a toro. Cigar companies should do that more often kinda like what Ave Maria did with they're Holy Grail only in one size. This cigar smoked almost as good as the Ave Maria Holy Grail and was a bit cheaper. All in all a fine mild smoke.

Put a box of these in your humidor ! Great flavor and consistency great smoke from this Connecticut. Alec Bradley does it again. These are going to be in everyone’s morning rotation soon. Try it and see.

Not Bad, The kind of Cigar, I keep at the top of the humidor or take out to the club, Great to throw a couple in the pocket when heading off to a barbecue, and You want a reliable satisfying smoke, but don't want to be assuming or seem pretentious. Smooth, not heady, good with beer.

Ordering was a breeze, came the next day. The cigar itself is OK. I prefer a Connecticut wrapper so naturally this caught my eye. Pricing seems to be about right. The cigars themselves were dry. Preparing to smoke 7 of the 10 when cut either with a V or a guillotine the wrapper broke. causing them to be virtually impossible to smoke/draw on. As for the profile, initially comes out almost too spicey for my preference but halfway through seemed to balance out and ended on a much smoother creamier note. All in all not a bad stick, just not a go to for me. Even without the dryness/brittle issue. Smooth Draws my friends.
