The latest Lost & Found
For those not in the know, the Lost and Found series by Caldwell Cigars is a truly small batch operation. As he travels, Robert Caldwell tries “leftover” cigars that were abandoned in aging rooms for one reason or another – normally great samples that just couldn’t find a brand to get attached to. Instead of letting these rot away in their Spanish cedar coffin, Caldwell packages them up, doesn’t tell people who they’re from, and releases them in a one-time, small batch format. Today, we look at the latest Lost and Found cigar: the SuperStroke.
Working with Matt Booth in the Dominican Republic, Caldwell found this vintage blend and knew he had to do something with it. Booth says, “The idea is to give consumers some vintage product that fits my palate.” The result? A medium-bodied blend that’s balanced in the way only aged tobacco can be – it’s a harmonious flavor on every puff, with slight cream, hints of chocolate, and fiery hits of black pepper lighting up your palate. My only warning? The Lost & Found releases go quickly, so if you’re at all curious, I’d recommending jumping aboard now.
