Sam Leccia Black

The fire from within....

Introducing Sam Leccia cigars. After taking a 3 year hiatus he's back, and he's behind the wheel of some impressive new handmades. And the good news is, instead of selling out, he's sticking to his guns of developing creative, innovative cigars.

First things first. Be cautious lads. Because it's true what they say. Once you go'll never forget that sweet n' smokey dark fired taste. Indeed, this new beauty from Sam Leccia is crafted with a touch of dark fired tobacco. You'll also find a bevy of Nicaraguan and Dominican ligeros, Brazilian visos and a Nicaraguan binder joining the party too. Wrap all this up in a dark Habano wrapper, and you've got a recipe for one hell of a unique cigar. Medium to full in body, and exuding a wonderful whiskey-esque aroma, the profile slowly builds toward a grand crescendo. Go ahead and torch this one up with your favorite libation on the rocks, it goes together better than peas and carrots. Mmmm-mmmm!

Great Value
Well constructed with a nice even burn and perfect draw. Got these on clearance and am impressed. The technique of smoking the tobacco lends a slightly unique characteristic, but nothing over the top. Finally a low priced cigar with quality characteristics. Highly recommended!

They ARE all they're cracked up to be
My favorite size cigar is 6 x 60. While these stogies are not black in color, they deliver a full bodied smoke, perhaps slightly milder than the likes of Obsidian or Diesel, nonetheless tasty and smooth. An interesting blend that will not disappoint. I had never tried, but am always looking expand my humidor selection. I have no reservations in recommending these fine cigars. Will only get better with time.

Sam Leccia Black Corona
smoke output was great and the flavors were dominated by a medium-full bodied smooth, deep earth with a bit of pepper and a sweetness that goes towards a little bit of caramel flavor. Great little cigar!!!!

Great pairing!
Makes a GREAT pairing with any of the smokier "peaty" Islay single malts!!!!! (such as Ardbeg, etc.) Very very complimantary! As for all the rest..... its stated in previous reviews..... I agree whole heartedly!

One tasty cigar
This stick has been one of my favorites since it's release. The fire cured filler comes through right away upon lighting and the habano wrapper provides a smoothness to the experience.

Sam Leccia Black
Cigar is dynamite. I got blisters on my fingers. Too bad they aren't 10 inches long. Won't be long before the price goes up. Buy'em now.

I hope these beauties never run out. Dark, complex, full-flavored, and utterly enjoyable. Sam Leccia's Black is one of my favorites.
Customer Testimonials
The Leccia Black is a great stick - I like the flavor of the stick. It has the Kentucky fire cure tobacco in it however it's not as full as its competition. Great smoke to introduce the smokey flavor.
Great Cigar! medium to full bodied and that fire cured tobacco adds a wonderful camp fire, smokey taste that does not overpower the habano wrapper or the other fillers. This was my first Leccia Black and also my first endeavor into fire cured tobacco. If you are a fire cured tobacco "virgin", then start right here with the Leccia Black. You will not be let down!!
Fire cured leaf gives a unique smell and taste. Flavor is unusual and, at least for me, very interesting. Cigar construction is excellent, draw is perfect. I'm a robusto lover and this fits the bill. I also purchased George Rico Miami S.T.K. American Puro Robusto, which uses fire cured leaf. I'd also recommend this cigar.
My favorite smoke! The fire cured leaf just smells delicious as soon as you open the box.
Absolutely fantastic. It has a smoky aroma right out of the cello wrapper. The smoky aroma and flavor come through for at least the first 2/3's of the stick. Very well constructed, and a great 90 minute smoke.
Fantastic cigar!!
Well constructed, beautiful and even burn, thick smoke, then is very smooth and enjoyable. Adding more of these to my humi!
