Obsidian Gordo Bulk Sale

There's a new sheriff in town.

Obsidian’s debut will not go unnoticed. It dares to be different, and in doing so, sets a new standard among premium handmades. The size listing is stacked – a slew of big-ring vitolas, figurados, and more. The blend is dark, meaty, and enticing, delivering a wealth of dense tobacco flavor in an unconventional format. Packed in chunky, Spanish cedar boxes, Obsidian’s most remarkable trait is the price. Premium quality and memorable flavor, all for a fee that’s most similar to an ordinary yard ‘gar. Literally, they would be a bargain at twice the price.

Check out Obsidian's resume:
- a rich, densely flavorful blend
- plenty of power, but a notable smoothness
- a specially tailored lineup of artisanal sizes
- prices starting at just $2.49 per stick

Obsidian employs a dark, oily Brazilian Habano ligero wrapper overtop a bold blend of Cuban-seed long-fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican, secured inside a spicy Criollo ’98 binder. The result is a densely rich and chewy blend, loaded with complex notes of espresso, pepper, earth, toast, and cream. Full-bodied, but extremely smooth and balanced, Obsidian is thoroughly satisfying.

Excellent smoke
Solid construction - been through about 40, haven’t had one tunnel or canoe, always a smooth draw. Great flavor and taste, all around a great cigar

Full flavored, savory, and yet smooth. Tastefully not for the faint of heart. I will buy over and over especially at that price!

DRAW ISSUES
First time smoking the Gordo. Same profile (med./full) as the toro and robusto. Nice smoke generator. Draw issues on several not all. Good golf cigar.

Good flavor, at least one
Good flavor, at least one of them always burns funny and falls apart while smoking. Might be my humidor, but if it was, wouldn't it affect all of them?

Great flavor, burn, and nice, heady smoke, no negatives, just ended too soon.

Great value.
I like full bodied maduros, and that describes Obsidian. A really great smoke, especially at this price. The perfect size for an afternoon working from home.

Obsidian
I'm not sure if it's because Obsidian blacks were the very first cigar I bought and there's a level of nostalgia, but these are still among my favorite cigars, and the Gordos make them even better, and I can almost have one at lunch!

A bit inconsistant, on the draw.

Taste less attractive than before
Flavor had an almost “industrial”!taste. It faded a little as they had time to re-hydrate in the humidor after arrival. Overall, disappointed

Great cigars
These have always been some of my favorites. With this batch a few of the wrappers fell apart on me but that has not been my overall experience with these. Love the full bodied flavors I get out of these sticks!

Gordo's are not good.
First time I tried the Gordo. Usually buy the Belicoso but they were out of stock. This cigar was very disappointing. Uneven burn all the way through. Tasted like burnt coffee. Dont purchase these cigars. Stick with other Obsidian styles.

Delish!
For the money, a darn good cigar.. just discovered these and I'm impressed... But stay away from the light wrappered belicoso (the ones with the white label) as they are bitter and nasty. These Obsidian darkies, on the other hand, are delicious.

New go to cigar
Bought this cigar from a recommendation from a friend of mine. Excellent buy! Solid cigar, great taste and nice slow burn. First time I smoked this I was drinking a dark beer. So I believe the beer kind of over powered the taste of the cigar. The next time I had it with a lighter ale and that was the way to go.

What?! Why do these taste like a weird petroleum product? Like burning turpentine or kerosene or something. Gross.

One of my favorites. 6x60
These are tasty. not as much as a Vegas A1 but they don't cost as much either. Construction is good, burns even except for the smaller 4.5x60 I believe. They have a tendency to go out very quickly. Lot's of relighting.

Low price, Full flavor!
Great little smoke, I have always enjoyed the Olivia nub, but the price continues to force me to find an alternative. Obsidian has hit it out of the park with these little guys! Not as smooth of a burn as most, but lots of flavor!

These are some good cigars, burn easy strong flavor.

Strong and tasty
I like full bodied smokes. This one nails full bodied. Even burn, excellent flavor, consistent to the nub. Started with a 5 pack. Ordering a box of them.

great smoke
Nice smoke. Strong but nice burn.
5 out of 5
Very nice smoke
The description here says this is a full body smoke. I got these in a short and fat sampler pack. To me, not a full body. To me, an exceptional smoke. Smooth and easy. I punched this to reduce the draw and it worked perfectly. I've only had them in the humidor for a couple of days and expect the other two to just get better with time. I'll order plenty more. The flavor is exceptional and the residual on the palate is quite soft. I don't know about any other reviews. I had no problem with burn and smoked it down to the nub.
5 out of 5
One of my favorite "go to" cigars
Obsidian black is one of my favorite full body cigars. Good taste, well made and mostly an even burn. The draw is just right for me..not too tight. I like the 4.5 x 60 but i prefer the 6 x 60 style. Just personal preference.

Not for the weekend warrior
Not for weekend warrior cigar smokers, this blend by PDR is monstrously good. It is rare that any cigar starts of the foot with flavors like this. I hope obsidian sticks around You may not like this cigar if you are still piddling around with grab bags and such. It is for the experienced. Love them.

Gross, loose, bad tasting, don't waste your money on this one!!!
Bought this 10 pack from MMAO. Worst decision ever. I tried one and the draw was real easy, but also meant that the cigar was really loose. Aside from that, the taste was HORRIBLE! I am not exaggerating! I confirmed when I gave some to two of my friends. Asked them a week later what they thought and they said "gross! why would you give me that cigar?!" do NOT waste your money on these. I have given them chance after chance considering there are 10 in a pack. I've smoked 3 now and it DOES NOT get better at all, regardless of how long they've sat in the humidor. It makes me wonder if my other PDR's are going to be this bad... I'd hate for that to happen since I've got 40 more various PDR's from the factory tour sampler! I'm currently aging them to give them a chance. This was definitely NOT a deal!
1 out of 5
Not matured! Will have to be aged!
These cigars taste like hot, spicy smoke! They obviously were not aged which is probably why the discount! My advice: DO NOT SELL CIGARS THAT HAVE NOT BEEN PROPERLY Married and seasoned! It only cheapens your reputation as well as the customer will get a lousy cigar!
1 out of 5
The Worst
Referring to the 4.5x60, the cigar itself is satisfactory for the price, if and only if it will ever burn properly. Sadly, it won't. This is one of, if not the worst constructed cigar I've ever smoked. The wrapper is far too thin, it is extremely vulnerable to very slight fluctuations in humidity, and it not only tends to center burn but it literally falls apart even at optimum humidor levels. Moving it around in the humidor is a hopeless exercise in futility....where ever it sits, the cigars next to it burn properly and this one fails every time. I have thrown them away, which is sad, and decided not to return them because of the hassle vs the price. I won't be fooled again, even though I had only minor expectations for it to begin with, given its purpose.

Earthy and full flavored
I actually got this in the Fat Camp Super-Sampler. It is a very strong and tasty stick. Requires a bit of maintenance since it burns a little uneven (could be they need some time to cure). The flavor is earthy and thick. If you like maduro like I do you will enjoy this one. A very high quality smoke.

Obsidian is the best cigar that I tried in a long time
excellent stick it arrives too dry but with a week on humidor turns awesome I recommend to every ones who want to taste a perfect full bodied cigar, all shapes are excellent i prefer gordo and robusto half corona are not good taste. It tastes like a school glue and smell like that
2 out of 5
Not matured! Will have to be aged!
Hot smoke &spice! They probably need a few weeks in a humidor! I will let them chill for a couple of weeks

Is a cigar but for me the taste was bitter and harsh, hard to keep lit, returned.
