Could b the best Macanudo I have had
I have never been a big fan of Macanudo. We all know it's a big name in the industry but yet I have to find one I really enjoy. The Crue Royal was very decent with age. But this particular cigar was extremely well-made . It had some strength to it but yet it was still smooth and did not leave a horrible taste in your mouth. It burned forever had an awesome Ash and produce wonderful amounts of smoke. You get what you pay for

I scaled down from some med-full to a milder Maduro and found it to be just the ticket. Tasty, slow, even burn that I really enjoyed.

I Love CI!
CI is more cost effective, faster, fresher, and just more awesome than any other way you could possible buy premium hand made cigars.

These are GREAT cigars. I have given them out to customers and smoked them with friends, everyone loves them. A definite buy and the metal band is super classy.

Great cigar
I'm not a guy he hoped can taste all those different tones but I do enjoy a good cigar and this is one of them. Make sure you have time to enjoy it, it's not a yard work cigar!

A Change of Heart
I've never liked the Macanudo brand. Every cigar I've had from them never satisfied me. The Vintage Maduro 1997 totally proved me wrong. It was recommended to me from a cigar lounge I visited. Such a DYNAMITE smoke!!! Very flavorful and extremely elegant! I ended up having two that night. Purchasing a box now!

Look No Further for Your Next Smoke
This is my goto smoke. It is what I judge all other cigars by. Smooth, oily, and flavorful. It is just a pleasure to smoke this cigar. This and the Glenmorangie 12 year old Quinta Ruban is sheer bliss. If you are new and looking for a great smoke than look no further than this cigar. The Macanudo Vintage Maduro 1997 is sheer bliss to smoke.

Great Smoke
This cigar has become my favorite cigar thus far. It has a wonderful smell, with nice oily smoke giving flavors of coffee, cocoa, and hay. This is my go to cigar and my only problem with them is that I smoke them faster than I can buy them. Great smoke.

Great Cigar
Normally I would have bought the Vintage 1993. However decided to give this a go and it is easily in my Top 5. Great smooth cigar for those after work hours. It goes good with a nice glass of bourbon.

A great and rare stick
I first bought one of these at a local shop because I liked the metal band, then fell in love with the gloriously aged tobacco. These have now become very hard to find, so when you see them get them. The smoke is medium bodied with that fantastic Macanudo complexity. Wonderful notes of leather, cocoa, and a hint of spice make this a great smoke. Construction is fantastic. Worth every penny.

Macanudo Vintage Maduro 1997
This is a great Cigar ! Nice and oily wrapper , well constructed , burn and draw are very good with a beautiful white ash...tasting profile: notes of espresso , vanilla, leather, wood, spice and a subtle black cherry. ***A Cigar this good doesn't need a gimicky metal band and can be hard to remove...I HIGHLY recommend this smoke...enjoy !

Macanudo Vintage Maduro 1997 after two boxes
I started with a box of Robusto's they were so good I ordered a box of Toro's now for box 3 I'm ordering a box of Perfecto's. You can't go wrong with this cigar. I had a couple of Robusto's that were a bit tight but simply rolling between my fingers was enough to make the draw open up for a great burn and a smooth smoke. The flavor and burn of this cigar is outstanding all the way from the light to the nub.

Great cigar
The Macanudo 1997 vintage Maduro is probably one of the smoothest and most enjoyable cigars I've ever smoked. It's got good flavor but is mild at the same time, tons of smoke and burns fairly even. Get them while you can!

A Masterpiece!
After reading so many great reviews, I had to see for myself. I ordered a 5-pack, and discovered a wonderful smoke by doing so. Sure, the thing that drew me in first was the metal band, but the color of that agreed leaf is just as irresistible! I only gave one of these babies away, and that was to my father. He doesn't normally go for the dark wrappers, but I'm pretty sure he fell in love too! By far one of the best cigars I have ever had in my whole life!

Customer Testimonials
Holy smokes, I have smoked less than a dozen cigars. Been looking for one I would smoke day in day out, this would be the one, the aroma, grassy, chocolate, spice near the bottom 1/3. Others I smoke about halfway as there is something I dont care for, this Macanudo is excellent. It was a little tight and draw was slow yet consistent throughout the entire length. The only downside was it was on the dry side, either from shipping or me not having a humidor for three days.... I hope that the ones I have left will recover in the humidor as I am looking forward to the next one.
Just had my first Macanudo Vintage 1997 & all I gotta say is ... WOW what a smoke! I must admit that the band & that beautiful maduro wrapper is what first drew me in. Not wanting make a buy on looks alone, I did some checking. After reading & watching numerous reviews I took a chance. I was not disappointed. This is a very flavorful cigar. Medium-full body without being too strong. This a very smooth smoke. Nice razor sharp burn with a solid white ash (2"). I was listening to internet radio while smoking this cigar and at about the halfway point, the Drifters song "This Magic Moment", came on. I was floored. What an appropiate song. It like they knew. It really was a magic moment all the way through this stick. The dark brown almost black maduro wrapper is gorgeous with a nice oily sheen. Great smoke, great burn & nice ash. I burned my fingers on this one. Hard to put down. If you can still find them, buy them they're worth every red cent!
One of the best. This has the flavor profile you want from any maduro. I have smoked dozens and always my go to if someone asks for a recommendation. Draw is a little tight but that actually works in my favor because it lasts longer! A 10 for flavor. A 10 for appearance. A 9 for smokability( because of the tight draw).
Simply the best Maduro I have ever had. For a pure medium cigar this has a sweet richness and woodsy flavor that reminds me of midwest oak, sweet corn, and turkish coffee. Never bites. A touch of spice for structure. A true winner. My son loves Maduros and when we were duck hunting I brought this along. as we were pulling the decoys he agreed that this was the best Mad he ever had. The ring label is a little much---who cares. I have had the Robusto and Toro. Toro is even richer if you have the time. I'm on my second box now. Enjoy bros.
My rating of this cigar is 100 out of 100! Just an awesome experience. Don't hesitate to buy this cigar.
I have tried relentlessly to figure out why this cigar has not received praise from all the "experts" out there and I have come to one conclusion... THEY DONT WANT YOU TO KNOW IT EXISTS!! In my opinion, The Vintage '97 is medium-full bodied, extremely smooth and rich with a small dash of creaminess. The only thing stopping me from buying them all up is the price. But I assure you if I had the funds, there'd be none left in circulation :)
Incredible smoke, the presentation is just the start... It's a splurge but so worth it, you won't be disappointed!
These cigars are a great smoke all the way through. Never a disappointment, always a rich smoke with an easy draw. One of my all time favorites. Try these, they are well worth the money.
I don't usually take the time to write a review but I had to on this one. First off the price, the nice box, and metal band is enough to draw people in. Boxing them by 12 gets the box price in range of most buyers. Like another person said wasn't expecting much but I don't know why. But I was dead wrong. I like a good Maduro with my morning coffee and this one takes the cake. It has become the cigar that I will grab with no hesitation. The burn was perfect, the construction was perfect, firm but not hard, didn't feel like I was going to bust it wide open if I held it to hard in my teeth. The draw and smoke was perfect. The flavored were great and had nice transitions. With almost every box I have especially under $250 retail I get a bad one in the bunch, I will have a flavor that is too overwhelming or a flavor I don't care for. I love alot of cigars but have gotten used to not liking at least one thing about them holding me back from grabbing right away but this cigar is perfect and really puts me at ease. It is a relaxer not an exciter until you're done and think damn I finally have a winner and one I can afford and that my man is exciting.. Enjoy....
Great cigar all around. I hated to see it burn down. Sure wish I would have purchased more than five of them and hopefully will in the near future if they are still available. I suggest these cigars to anyone who enjoys a good maduro cigar. Better get them while the're available, I know I will.
"EXCELLENT" in every way! Says it all!
I received one of these with my Cigar of the Month order... I was totally blown away! Not only was the cigar beautiful, but the metal band was very cool as well. I didn't expect much from this cigar, although I'm not sure why. It ended up being a phenomenal smoke. It had a great burn, great taste, and produced lots of thick smoke. I would definitely buy more of the Vintage 1997s!
Wow! I picked up a box of these with the free bugatti lighter and they were not only gorgeous, but an incredible smoke! The flavor was just right, the burn even and the draw smooth. The metal bands and the box adds a touch of class. I'll be getting more of these for sure!
I've had the pleasure to enjoy one of these. They are so amazing looking and the smoking experience is just as amazing. Pleasurable amount of smoke from each puff, perfect draw and the taste is to die for! I'm definitely ordering me a box of these since they are back in stock! I hope these never go away!
first off I would like to give thanks to my oldest son because he had bought these for me as an early fathers day gift. I just fininshed smoking my very first Macanudo and all I can say is WOW! Going on the description on this stick I made a point to share this experience with a couple of close family members and they also agree with me WOW! This is a very smooth and relaxing smoke! I will be buying more of these while the supplies last.
