I've been smoking a pipe for over 40 years. In that time, I've probably smoked a hundred different types of tobacco. First of all, let me say that I'm a pipe smoker and I smoke all through the day. I'm not a collector or hobbyists that smokes one pipe full on Sunday afternoon. There are smokers I like to refer to as "pipe snobs". They believe that if the tobacco comes in a little can and says "Virginia" or "Latakia" it must be good. Most of the time this is not true. In my time, I've smoked some really bad fancy, smancy tobaccos that were recommended to me by amatures. I always come back to Sir Walter Releigh Aromatic. It packs well, it lights well and it's smokes beautifully. The aroma and taste are, to me, very pleasing and satisfying. I've never found a tobacco, and I'm sure this is a personal thing, that comes close to the quality and smokeability as SWR aromatic.
