A very nice case from Xikar. Workmanship is excellent in the leather and cedar lining. The case has a nice rigidity, so there is no danger of crushing a cigar. One minor con: the leather was very new, and it smelled like new shoe leather. The fix: I placed some fresh ground coffee in the case for three days, and the it absorbed the leather smell, replacing it with a nice coffee/cedar aroma for my smokes.
The Xikar 3-finger Envoy case is by far the finest cigar case I've owned (it's my 4th). The three previous cigar cases were made of leather ranging in quality from junk (Walmart) to fine leather 3-finger cases, and found two problems with them: 1) The cigars inside the leather case were easily crushed because the leather cases were flexible. 2) They were difficult to open and close if you had larger-ringed cigars inside because caused the leather case to bulge, which made it difficult to slide open and closed. The Xikar case is inflexible so it protects your precious cargo very well and slides open and closed with ease. The Spanish ceder lining holds the ambient humidity of the cigar and projects the fresh cedar smell of a humidor on every opening. If you need a cigar case, save yourself some money by buying this one off the bat, rather then getting it right on the fourth try like me.
Went to the plaza in Albany on the fourth to watch the fireworks. This Xikar (Xikar 3-Finger Envoy Cigar Case - Black) kept the cigars cozy and safe on the car ride, at the bar, through the evening all the way 'till the big show. I kept them in my back pocket and I am over 200lbs and sat in a lawn chair, and had my wife on my lap. Not a dent. This thing is awesome.
