Shuriken Cutter

After 16 beers, a Chinese throwing star, and a trip to the emergency room, the Shuriken Cutter was born....

The cigar industry is loaded with genius minds - ok maybe not - but some Joe Six-Pack had a genius idea when he invented this cutter. It looks kind of odd, but the design is functionally perfect....and it cuts extremely well too. Simply open the device, carefully insert cigar, and gently push. The Shuriken Cutter creates 6 tidy slits in the cap, while keeping it fully intact, but opening it enough for a perfect draw. Sometimes, it's so clean you won't even notice the slits. But take a pull on the cigar and be amazed. Plus, it does torpedos too. It's one of those gotta-see-it-to-believe-it kind of things.

Gimmick
Made of cheap plastic. When used, cigars will not draw very good unless you cut the cigar as deep as you can. But it causes the cap and head of the cigar to come apart. Regular cutter for me from now on.

Nice little cutter
I enjoyed the draw

Cutter
Innovative...some sticks require a more conventional cutter though....hard draw if the middle of the stick needs to be exposed.

The BEST
Fantastic device. Will save many many cigars from decapsulization and failure. Simple with good draw and little damage to cap!

Hints
I really like this cutter. It does have a learning curve. One tip...easy does it. At first I was pushing too hard and deep. All you want to do is cut easy into the cap. If you try multiple cuts it will shred the cap. Also, drawing is a little different. Use a slight biting with that teeth to open the slits. I lost my first one. Think it is now enjoyed by my son. It disappeared right after a visit.

neat idea, i just worry about the blades breaking off into the cigar and getting my lips cut.

I'll stick to my guillotine
The first time I used it I didn't push the cigar in deep enough to make a good cut. The second time I pushed the cigar in to far, when I pulled it out the cap was still in the cutter. The third time was a little better, but after about 10min of smoking the slits became clogged.

Works great.
Slits give a good draw. Easier to use than traditional cutter.

Cool cutter
I've used it several times since I've got it and it worked on each cigar and none were the same type it worked great only thing is you don't see the cuts and if you try to put the cigar back you take chunks out if it's not ligned up with the first cuts , works great get one and enjoy

sometimes the oil that collects is not so hot when it hits my tongue so I haven't experienced that yet with the Shuriken cutter!

Shurikan Cutter
I used the cutter on 3 cigars. Whatever oils or other substances are in the cigar accumulate around the slits in the head of the cigar, making it taste bitter and unsmokeable. A novel idea but not practicle.
