When ya comin’ home Dad? I don’t know when, but we’ll get together then.

After a 17 year career with the Plasencia family, Ismael Fernandez has come out of retirement to join his son, the very well-known AJ Fernandez. Their first collaboration together, called New World, is a nod to the discovery of tobacco by Christopher Columbus and its introduction to the rest of the world in 1492.

Draped in a bold, dark Nicaraguan wrapper and jam-packed with powerful ligeros from Esteli and Condega balanced by the uniqueness of Ometepe tobacco, this rich, medium to full-bodied blend offers an elegant, refined profile. Notes of earth, espresso, and a dense array of sweet and spicy notes characterize its smooth, complex profile. As it burns, the strength and flavors intensify perfectly before an exciting finale. There’s something really special with this one, and knowing how near and dear to AJ this blend is, they planned it that way all along.

Customer Reviews of “New World by AJ Fernandez”
AJ's new blend is outrageously delicious. I was at first a little bit upset with the appearance of the cigar since it looks like an exact duplicate of some other brands.... All in all I love the new AJ Fernandez New World and I would recommend you pick out a few singles or a five pack. You will not be disappointed.

Absolutely love this cigar. Very nice draw and full of flavor. I'm a box press fan anyway so this cigar has it all for me. This will be the primary cigar in my humidor.
RH of Harrisburg, IL
Smoked the Toro size. Constructed well, easy draw, steady burn, strong, grassy, woody with some cocoa in the back round. Not the best effort from A.J. Fernandez, needs some humidor time. Will try again after putting them to sleep for a month.

I enjoyed this beautiful cigar at a A.J. Fernandez new release event in Orlando. Two things I can say about this cigar that are exactly on point. 1- It's most definitely not a medium to full-bodied cigar. It is a mild to medium. 2- Almost no "spice" in the cigar. This cigar is perfect for the new or novice smoker. Or a smoker that doesn't like that added spice kick. A+ Nailed it A.J. Will be ordering a box of these babies.

I'm a big A.J fan, but this cigar (6.5 x 55) not so much. Very thin smoke for the first half with a lemony-grassy taste. The second half developed into a nicotine bomb and any flavor that was there? was completely overpowered by the strength kick. Much rather smoke a San Lotano, MOW, Pinolero or Pueblo Dominicano. Construction was excellent and burn was even, but it just didn't float my boat.

Love this cigar, I bought a couple at my favorite cigar store and really enjoyed them. They are one of my favorites. I would say they are mild to medium and I will definitely be ordering more of these.

Really nice cigar. Construction, burn, and draw were flawless, and with a boat load of flavor. So rich, its like that feeling you get after eating too many fried Oreos.......but in a good way. Little bit of a nicotine hit toward the end, but I thoroughly enjoyed this cigar. Highly recommend!

A good flavor and burns evenly. Smooth in taste.

Smoking the robusto size as I type this. I'm pretty damned impressed. My favorite so far is still the Ruination, but it's kind of hard to pick a favorite when there's so many good offerings from AJ's selections. Might have to get a box of these and let them age. For the price, I have no complaints!

I almost don't want to say how much I like this New World by Fernandez. If everyone catches on, they will go up in price. But, I have to be honest and say that to me, a person that smokes more than 30 cigars per week, this is absolutely one of the best cigars I have ever smoked. The only cigar that comes to mind that I like better is the OpusX. Bravo Sr. Fernandez!
RP of Carlotta, CA
I just finished smoking the Robusto. I agree with previous poster: this is a mild to medium smoke. First 3rd: very light spice on retro hale and a hint of coffee. 2nd third: no spice and a change to a mocha like flavor. Final 3rd to nub: got more chocolate like all the way to the nub. Construction: A+. Ash didn't fall off till halfway point. Smoke was medium thick. Very short finish through whole cigar. This cigar just kept getting better flavor wise the longer it went. This would be a fantastic cigar paired with a cafe mocha or a chocolate beer in the fall or a cold morning. Smoking time 1hr 25 mins. I will definitely put a few of these away for those cold mornings that require a large cafe mocha to get my day started. I give it a 90.
