Damn ugly cigar, but well worth the dollar per stick price, great morning smoke. Performed better than expected. Will purchase again. Thank you CI
This is a tasty smoke, nice tobacco flavor. They are loose rolled, therefore a little soft to the touch. Very hand-rolled, somewhat moist, but burn well. Nice sittin'-by-the-campfire smoke. and good bang for the buck.
These cigars, introduced to me by a good friend and co-worker, are a new favorite for us. At a buck a piece they're tastier, and a better smoke then some 6 buck sticks I've tried. These hand-rolled cigars are soft to the touch and felt more moist then I'm accustomed to but burned extremely well and held their shape until the very end, which for me was about 15 minutes and about a 1/8 inch nub. Try these, they won't disappoint!
Got these through the MMAO program just to try and boy was I surprised! Cheap as they are they deliver a great smoke. Will buy again, can't help but feel like I've just won the war in 1865..

Best damn 'yard-gar and fishing cigar I've ever smoked. It's well worth the price. Pick some up today. You'll be glad you did.
Bought these because other old fashioned cigars are hard for me to get in CA, and boxes of 50 are too many. Took a chance on these having smoked others like Marsh Wheelings, Munnimakers, Judge's Cave, Ibold, Topper, Evermores etc. Gen Grant cigars are better in my opinion. First, I like the natural wrapper as opposed to maduro, and these cigars smoke cool and have just the right amount of flavor and strength. They do burn fast, so even though a corona size cigar they are loosely packed, and sort of look like a huge Backwoods cigar in construction, but with no filler hanging out the head. They are not harsh at all, and if you clip the foot properly, they won't unravel either. They look mangy, but they are truly a good smoke with a nice finish. As long as they are made, I will buy them.
4 stars and the Presidential Medal of Honor should go to this cigar. Damn, the tobacco is as good as any. Burns well, draws well, quick light. Why pay all the the hype for a cigar rolled by an overpaid priss. Pay for these. Take em golfing.
Great cigar for everyday occasions. I plan on buying them again.

Take it to the golf course for a laugh. When it's smoked, boy, will they be surprised. 'GEE HOW COME THIS AWFUL LOOKING CIGAR SMOKES WELL AND TASTES GREAT! then, "HOLY SCHNIKEY'S ONLY HOW MUCH!? I'M BUYING SOME OF THESE!'. Oh, boy, these are a tasty treat!
I went golfing and smoked 2 of these. My game improved dramatically. Thanks, CI.
Was nervous about these, as I've never heard of them and they are only a dollar each. They aren't very good looking and they are smaller then I thought they'd be. But wow, are they amazing. The taste is so rich and smooth. I was looking for something that I could just have all day and not spend a ton of money. They last the perfect amount of time and you'll be surprised by how good they are!

I bought these cigars because I wanted something cheap as an everyday smoke. They came fresh, soft, and lite up great. It smokes even and tastes great. After smoking a couple I have become a believer! They are great in the morning or in the evening. Send me some more!
These are very tasty and decently robust. So much good flavor, I almost thought they may had been infused with some chocolatey flavor, but no, they're totally natural. Also love the natural, hand-rolled shape. Each individual cigar seems unique. And at such a low price, it's a great deal.

Just got a box of these and what a pleasant surprise. Flavor wise, these are an earthy tobacco and mild strength. It has good smoke output and after several of them, I have had no burn issues at all. It does go out rather quickly if put down for a few minutes. I typically get a 20-25 minute burn on this cigar which makes it perfect when I don't have a long time. This is just a great tobacco flavor cigar when you want a quick smoke. Definitely pick up a box of these.
KG of Lawrenceville, GA
These look like a 4 year-old with ADHD rolled them, but they taste great! They burn great! They are light, and smoke and draw great! They are cheap! I've overused my exclamation points, but it is all true.

This little cigar is perfect for occasions when there is not a lot of time for a smoke. I'm in my 2nd box of them. They burn evenly and draw smoothly with lots of smoke. They're perfect with a cup of coffee in the morning, which I'm enjoying as I write this.
After purchasing over 250+ cigars from this website, this is in the top 25. Its an ugly cigar, but it's a great draw with lots of flavor. About to purchase me another box now. My cigars buddies all love this cigar as well
WELL, they won't be on the cover of your favorite magazine nor on T.V. But GENERAL GRANTS are a good everyday smoke, and I know it; I'm on my 6th box. Thank you C.I. for a good non-Cuban smoke finally.
An ugly little stick, but one of the better tasting small ones I've tried. And for the price you can't ask for better. I'll keep buying while they're around. Another good one CI. I knew there was a reason I've stuck with you!!
I was obviously skeptical of a dollar per stick smoke, like most people would be, but these are great little smokes. Great when you just want a quick smoke and one that will taste good also. When you don't want to bust out the big boys, this is the one to go to. I told myself that I was going to like these no matter what at this price, but I didn't have to convince myself after I smoked the first one. These will be in my humi from here on out. Thanks CI!
As the song says,"my girl's ugly but she she can cook." Well worth the price for a simple medium bodied 20 min smoke.
Wonderful cigar for a buck a piece! If you are looking for an inexpensive cigar it is hard to beat this one!

Well, I read the reviews before I purchased the General Grants. I have to say, I was disappointed, even though my expectations were low already. There was no flavor at all, no body to the cigar, and just not worth it, despite the price point. For a low end cigar, the munnie makers are a much more robust and complex cigar. I'd stay away from the General Grants based on my experience. Since there were only positive reviews for the Grant's, I thought I should share my experience to add some balance. Thanks. MP

These smokes were so loosely wrapped that when I lit the first one it side burned more than half way down.
Definitely a nice, mild everyday cigar that I don't mind handing out and recommending to friends who would otherwise avoid cigars. And I can't argue with the price.

GEN Grant loved his Cigars...this one would have made him proud that it was named after him. His nemesis... Lt Gen Longstreet loved his cigars too...and he even offered a cigar to Grant, on the day those two old warriors...officially met AFTER the Civil War. Of course both were young officers in the Mexican War. Longstreet and Grant were unique in their own right, and so is this damn fine Cigar...and I think you will certainly agree...:>

Not quite sure how these burn so well - they are VERY loosely rolled, possibly the loosest I've come across. How that doesn't screw up the burn, I dunno. But it doesn't, so I'm happy with the purchase. As others have said, these make a good morning smoke with coffee, with flavors ranging from meh to not bad at all. General Grant - when you don't mind going cheap.
Great Cigar bought a box and was shocked and the great flavor of this little cigar has. I will for sure buy another box!
Grabbed a box to share for a last work day of 2013 and didn't get a 'negative' from anyone. Good, straightforward smoke that got the job done and back to work! Not complex and would make the 'General' proud. I have a couple sitting in the humidor, it will be interesting to see how they taste after sitting for a spell. Grab a box and enjoy - can't go wrong!
Excellent yard 'gar. Really can't find a better smoke for <1$. No maintenance after lit and good draw.
PJ of Ballston Spa, NY
Just got these today, was surprised by the size and full flavor wrapped up in all its awesomeness! Delicious from start to finish; almost a "sweet spot" in a whole stick! Amazing and the price is ridiculous! I love this company and now have a new fav with the General! Thanx again, CI; The Count is please!! ^V^V^

Great smoke among my favorites
Excellent smoke and a tremendous value .Suberb packaging .These really surprised me ! A smoth and mellow way for me to kick back for a short time and just enjoy the day . Terrific with morning coffee !
Impressive... will purchase again.

This is a great every day cigar. Not much on looks; however, if you are looking at sitting down relaxing after a hard days work and want a 30 minute smoke this is a good one to smoke.

WoW!!! I read the reviews on this cigar and thought i'd give it a try. Love this cigar!! Im in Afghanistan and when these American bad boys came they were just what General Grant would of wanted on the battlefield, something juicy. Me and my boys love this cigar.
Just bought a box of these a little while ago. All I can say is that these are some very tasty little cigars. I usually smoke Arturo Fuente and Rocky Patel but these have started to become my daily smoke. Very light taste with a hint of vanilla. Love everything about these cigars. The musty free hand look just adds to the uniqueness. I am already placing an order for a few more boxes. Also great on the golf course, I usually smoke Padrons, Arturo Fuente or Rocky Patels when I tee off, but since I have been smoking these they have helped me improve my game. The light mellow taste just helps you relax

I've fallen in love, very good cigar, reasonably priced, and a very smooth tasty smoke, I was amazed at how well they burn, I've got Mac's and R&J's that don't smoke as well. This has become my after dinner smoke. Buy em up before they get pricey.
TM of Klamath Falls, OR
These are some good smokes my friend! I gave some to a co-worker and he agrees. They light easy, burn nice, and taste pretty good. I think General Grant would be proud to have these cigars named after him.
BW of Pomona, CA
I watched the video and when the guy said they looked mangy I thought that's me. So I bought a box. My first one was soft as mentioned in the video but burned ok. I got big fingers and wanted to smash them. So I put a few out and let them dry much better. Nice funky cigar drag slow on them good taste hot at end, but every cigar comes to the end. Smoked to the nub. I had my fire extinguisher handy. Will buy again enjoying my box.
KO of West Salem, OH
It is an OK smoke. I guess I did not realize how small they were....
WM of Glendale, AZ
They're a little smaller than expected, but they're good little smokes.
GH of Yorktown, VA
First cigar was dry but smoked okay. Week in the humidor is just what it needed. Rolled a little loose and discovered on the second cigar I didn't need to snip the end. Already had a small hole which makes it a better smoke. Flavor okay and I would buy again. Good with a cup of coffee.
RW of Mountainair, NM
I love the little suckers! Great taste and budget friendly. Wouldn't win any awards, but who cares if it's good?
IC of Pipersville, PA
I was hesitant to buy these cigars but recently I decided to try them out. WOW, these are really good. Well rounded flavor to them. Not too complex but sometimes that is a good thing. From the first draw to the last the flavor remains constant. You will really enjoy these low cost cigars. Sometimes CHEAP does NOT refer to the quality.
Nice little treats from time to time. These are not for the faint of heart they are full body smokes from start to finish.
KH of brandon, FL
I have to admit, I wasn't expecting much when I ordered this cigar, I was looking for an everyday stogie so I wouldn't be smoking my good stuff. I was really surprised by the cigar. It's very smooth and creamy. Let it sit in the humidor for a couple of weeks and it'll get even better. Definitely order this stogie it's awesome, my new favorite daily driver.
SB of Hilton Head Island, SC
I am 83 years old & believe me I've smoked a lot of the high dollar cigars in my lifetime. This General Grant Corona in my opinion is the best ever. I have 2 humidors @100 cigars each & I'm ready & going to order enough to fill both. It's not the best looking cigar but smoking it is a pleasant surprise. Buy them & you won't be disappointed.
OJ of North Zulch, TX
nice little backyard smoke -- good for a quick smoke.
PP of Beacon, NY
Not the most aesthetically appealing cigar but they have an old fashioned look to them. Great for a daily casual smoke. Don't want to spend a long time smoking one of your more expensive cigars, or maybe you just need something to do while driving. The taste is good as well and it produces plenty of smoke along with a very pleasant aroma. I'll get another box when I run out.
MH of Humble, TX
Not the best looking cigar, my brother-in-law turned me on to these. Gotta admit they are an outstanding smoke. Great daily cigar; smooth, tasty and smoke very nice. Already ordered 2 bundles and will get more when needed.
ML of Bethel, OH
Great little cigar; my girl enjoys them, too!
WL of matteson, IL
Greatest buy for the cost. Smooth, perfect smoke and just right to share.
General Grant is an exceptional smoke. Was skeptical at first about these, but wow, I love these little cigars. I keep a box of Aroma De Cuba, and they will always be my brand, but a backyard BBQ, mowing the grass, a hard day of work and a strong cocktail, or 3 am and I can't sleep so I make a pot of coffee, these cigars match perfect. When the friends come over I break out the Aromas, but when I want a quick smoke that taste just as good as a name brand premium. These little cigars will always have a space in my humidor. Thank you Cigar International for giving me the chance to experience these perfect little cigars.
CB of Westlake, LA
Great everyday smoke!
When I opened them, I was a little concerned because they are smaller than the picture makes them appear. (Not as small as a cigarillo though) But after lighting one up and smoking it, I was happy to have ordered them and I can say I will be ordering them again.
The delightfully tasty ugly duckling. A great lunch time smoke for a quick puff!
Not a bad little smoke under a dollar a stick.
AB of Seattle, WA
Great smoke for the price. Puff too fast and the last bit gets this NASTY NASTY chemical taste. Smoke slow and your good to go. Will buy more. No questions asked.
GH of Island Park, NY
This is an awesome little cigar! Just right for a coffee break at work! I'm on my 5th box now.
KF of Bluffs, IL
Freaking great cigars for the money. these are perfect for my drive to work. Just as full of flavor as most 6-12 dollar sticks with out the guilt of having to put it out. they burn kinda funny but heck the taste awesome and have oodles of character. gotta get more of these.
BH of asheboro, NC
A little ruff looking, but a very good smoke. Its an everyday smoke for me now.
RL of Seale, AL
Great everyday cigar. Mild cigar and lasts about 20 minutes. great for golf or a short reading period.
A bit strong, but not bad for a quick smoke....
