La Perla Habana Cazadores

La Perla, now in dirt cheap.

If you've been checking out the competition (shame on you!), you know that our prices on La Perla Habana are crazy-low. 93-rated handmades for less than $3 apiece in a box - it's nutty. Probably too nutty. But that's who we are, and it's what we do. Like they say, old habits die hard and discounting runs in our blood. Can't change, don't wanna change, will never here's round #2,574. The brand new LPH Habano is yours starting at a paltry buck-twenty-five apiece.

LPH Habano by La Perla Habana is bred for everyday enjoyment and, of course, rich Cuban-esque flavor. Crafted with a top-grade Habano Criollo wrapper leaf and an aged 'Cuban Sandwich' blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos, this medium-bodied blend offers flavor in droves. Notes of cedar, rich tobacco, pepper, earth, and nuts are present before a delicious, slightly sweet finish. It's tasty, no doubt. And at my massively discounted prices, you can burn through 'em recklessly and still have enough cash left over to splurge on super-sizing.

Customer Reviews of “La Perla Habana Cazadores”
had several of them and every one is a very tight draw, also has a harsh bitter taste and dies out very quickly.
Just got mine in, right out of the box they were exactly as advertised, "Notes of cedar, rich tobacco, pepper, earth, and nuts are present before a delicious, slightly sweet finish" delish! Glad I ordered right away to reorder before the weekly special is over.
After months of anticipation, finally got my mazo of LPH Cazadores in the mail today. (Get the priority mail shipping, cigars get here in 3-4 days and are smokable right away). Loaded them in the humidor and fired one up. WOW, an answer to a lot of experimentation. This is the best robusto I have ever smoked that is in this price range. The description is perfect, so I won't repeat it. A very good everyday smoke, nothing spectacular, but great for the price. Reminds me a lot of the LPH Classic for less money. Good indicator was a very tight white ash, and I nubbed it without any harshness or burning hot. Thank you CI for bringing this cigar to us. Will be a regular for me.
Purchased some La Perla Habana Cazadores in the torpedo size a couple of weeks ago. Out of the bundle of 20, 3 cigars had noticeably green wrappers and stood out dramatically. There were also about 5 cigars rolled into an incredibly thin and tight piramide rather than a standard torpedo width and shape. All these failed to smoke properly. After some time to readjust in my humidor, I cut one normal looking cigar from the bundle and tried to light it. It was too plugged to smoke, 3 cigars later I have found one that will draw air. I'm smoking it now and can't help but be disappointed. I know these cigars are young and may benefit from age, but I was expecting more from La Perla Habana. The cigar I am smoking tastes green, unrefined and has an acidic bite on the aftertaste. I do not know if I will make it halfway through it. Hopefully age will make these cigars smokeable.

Ordered some of these along with some $1 sticks. Can't believe how good these are for only $0.50 more. 2 out 3 so far have had a perfect draw. Would definitely order these again. Thank you, CI.
When I first got them, the burn was too tight (despite the good flavor). Just a few weeks in my humidor later, the draw was still fairly tight, but the flavor was definitely improved. If you have time to let these sit for a few weeks, this is a great buy! I will definitely be ordering these in the future!
OK for the price. The burn, so far, results in a severe canoe.
Good taste, but this cigar is rolled so tight....I have to keep using a poker to stick up in the cigar to keep an airway open in order to smoke....
So far, it looks like reviews on these have been mixed. I think these cigars are great. From experience, these cigars get better after sitting in the humi for a while.... These seem to start a bit mild, but like a great song, have a climactic conclusion. Truly, a tasty smoke....
These are not bad cigars, but be forewarned that you get what you pay for. They draw well and taste pretty good for something in that price range. But, short filler cigars like these should be recognized as a food group. You spend quite a bit of time spitting out little pieces of filler as you smoke these.

My palate does not detect such nuances as "notes of leather with a peppery finish" because I don't smoke leather or pepper, but I like tobacco. The LPH Cazadores is a very pleasant surprise. Attractively packaged at a very reasonable price. I initially bought a mazo of twenty for low cost hand-outs, but increasingly found a reason to smoke them for myself. For a sandwich type construction the Cazadores had an excellent burn and produced nice clouds of medium bodied smoke. One or two in the mazo of twenty were packed too tight, a disappointment which was remedied in the traditional manner. Let me hasten to add it did not prevent me from re-ordering more. Frankly, I have paid a lot more for cigars that I enjoyed a lot less than these. This is an above average smoke priced for everyday enjoyment and it is so good that it encouraged me to try other cigars in the La Perla Habana line.

Like some other reviewers, my experience was mixed. Overall, I like the flavor - it's right in my wheelhouse - but the inconsistency of the wraps can be very frustrating....
Not being able to resist the price, I bought a bundle of 20 and have about 5 left. 1 out of every 3 has had a very tight draw that really takes the pleasure of smoking them. I got so ticked off at one that I cut about 2 inches off the end and that actually made a big difference, so it would seem that it's mostly the torpedo end that is wrapped way to tight. Even after 2 months in my humidor there are still some with issues. Another problem I had with several of them was the wrapper coming loose. When I get a good one it's enjoyable and worth the price....
After 3 months in the humidor, these are improving by loosing the bitter taste and a more even burn.
Rolled way to tight. Can not draw.
I enjoyed La Perla very much. When I got these in I put them in my humidor for a few weeks and when burned one it was great. For the money you can't miss.

Smokable…but that's about all I can say. The taste was very uneventful. I will be getting these again. For an inexpensive cigar, they'll do.

Just ordered a second bundle. I had no issues with tight draw or poor construction. Great smoke for the money...tasty!

Big bang for the buck!
Great cigar for the price!
I rate these as average. A short filler cigar with a tight draw, they burn down quickly as all short filler cigars do. Flavor is good and overall these are probably worth the money.

I would pay double or triple the price for this's THAT good! What a great deal, less than $2 a stick for a 93-rated GREAT smoke!
For the money, this is a decent cigar and one that I would reorder for the 4 day a week, "5 a.m ride home from work" cigar!

Two months in the humidor and they're smokeable. For a short filler with a bitter Natural wrapper, there not the worst cigars I've smoked. There the second worst the Bad Frog was the worst. Price was good, and thats about all I can say. I may have gotten a bundle that was worse than others, but I'm not going to try again.

Not too shabby for a $1.50 Churchill!

Solid cigars for the price. Mild and lengthy.
