Dark and volcanic!

Tim Ozgener is no stranger to harkening back to his family heritage, and like with the Aramas, the new Oz Family Karatoba is named by combining two Turkish words. Kara comes from the Turkish word for black or dark, while Toba refers to Lake Toba, the largest volcanic lake in the world. That lake also happens to reside in Indonesia, where the Sumatra-seed wrapper holds its origins.

In addition to the Ecuadorian-grown Sumatra wrapper that holds the Karatoba together, the cigar is bound using a Nicaraguan leaf with long-fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. The Karatoba is a hearty blend with a sweet and savoury profile, with notes of mixed nuts, maple, saltiness, and a bit of pepper.
