Following their montra of "less is more", Black Label Trading Company has been making yearly releases of their limited-editions like the Bishop's Blend and the Morphine for years. For their 10th Anniversary of their iconic Morphine blend, the folks at Oveja Negra have decided to create a special edition of it that comes in a few vitolas you may not have seen from their factory in the past!
Blendwise, the Morphine 10th Anniversary is a barber pole featuring an Ecuadorian Maduro and Mexican San Andres wrapper alongside a binder and long-fillers from Nicaragua. If you've tried the previous iterations of the Morphine, prepare for a change of pace, because the special Morphine 10th Anniversary pumps up the complexity to an extreme level. The flavor profile varies from size to size, but each will give you waves of cocoa, baking spices, sweet cedar, and white pepper on the retrohale. These beauties were made in very limited quantities, with just a handful of boxes ever reaching our shelves, so be sure to grab them up before they go up in smoke!
