Once news of Bahia Ecuador hit my desk, all I could think was'it's about damn time! Besides kickin' serious ass in the value bundle game, Bahia has delivered quite a few different blends over my 20 years in the industry. Why hasn't an everyday Connecticut bundle for minimal coin stuck around? It's cooked my noodle one too many nights. The good news is, it's here now. It's here to stay. And after enjoying several bundles, it definitely punches several weight classes higher than its price tag.
Bahia Ecuador is a mellow to medium-bodied handmade that delivers a nutty, creamy core backed by hints of baking spices and cocoa. It's easy to puff on one after the other, and things stay interesting thanks to the rich Nicaraguan long-fillers and binder. It's not going to win any fancy awards, but I'd wager that if you popped off the bands and handed them out to some unsuspecting pals, they'd be very interested after hearing how much you paid at camp CI. We've all been waiting for this one, so jump on in cannonball style!
