Torano Dominico

Golden nuggets from Torano at blowout prices.

Oooh child! Newly reblended, Torano’s Dominico blend is a better cigar than ever - with the juicy part being a better price than ever. How’s starting at $29.99 per bundle grab you?

First off, let’s discuss the Torano family - with cigar pedigree dating back to 1916, Torano is one of the top cigar making families in the land, an unsung bunch that cranks out classic blends. Among their jewels are, of course, their eponymous Carlos Torano Tribute, 1916 Cameroon, Exodus and Virtuoso brands, but also literally dozens of other high-class contract brands such as CAO, Alec Bradley, 5 Vegas Series ’A’, and Gurkha.

Dominico by Carlos Torano brings an aged blend of Dominican long-filler tobaccos cloaked in a seamless Connecticut leaf grown in Ecuador. The smoke is mellow and smooth with a creamy core, including notes of cedar, oak, and nuts. Nuttier still is CI’s price: despite 52% SCHIP taxes, we’re delivering 20 of these beauts at a wild price point. As low as a buck-fifty per stick....all solid sizes too. A terrific, everyday handmade you’re gonna like.

Not much going on as far as taste. Huge Pepper note right at the middle of the cigar and then nothing again. Construction was ok and burn was decent. Nothing special.

Smooth draw, good flavor
Torano Dominico is my every day brand. I enjoy the flavor, the stick and the satisfaction. May led is best for me and this is the best I can find for the price. Even prefer it over some pricier smokes. If you haven’t tried, I would suggest that you do.

Torana Torpedo Dominico
A really nice cigar. A nice cedar favor with some wood.. oak I assume thrown in. Lit easily and stayed constant throughout the burn. A little peppery at the end. Was able to keep the stick lit through out the burn. A good smoke down to the end.

Try em you will like em
Ok. This is my first review. Sort of a newbie been smoking cigars about a year. Bought a humidor so start stocking up. Have smoked lots of different kinds but this Torano Dominico is one of the smoothest cigar I have smoked. I usually go for med full but this was a good cigar. Burned even didn't unravel and had awesome blue smoke. Money doesn't usually matter to me with cigars but if this is a cheap cigar they got a new fan in me. Try them you will like them I guarantee.

My new go to cigar
This is my new go to smoke. The cigar had all the qualities of higher priced cigars. My entire bundle were correctly rolled, lit well and stayed lit, and produced the flavor I expect from a Dominican cigar.

My regular smoke. Always consistent in taste, draw and strength. Burns evenly to the end. Great value too.

Great for Non-smokers
I no longer smoke. These cigars are very mild and therefore super for non-smokers (used like a pacifier). They last much longer if not smoked.

Terrible Torano
I realize buying economical cigars is somewhat of a gamble, being made from clippings and scraps from more expensive smokes. But this bundle of Dominico Toros was the absolute worst I have ever purchased at CI. The were constructed with very little tobacco in the center and cherry shot right through the cigar, hollowing it out, ultimately requiring a clip to try again. Optimistically, I tried several more and got the same results. Since I had attempted this on 5 or 6, I decided to demote them to be chewed on during lawn mowing they were so poorly made. These have been my favorite inexpensive cigars, but I will be searching for a replacement for a while, hoping this is a temporary flaw.

Solid Mild Cigar
I am a medium-full flavor cigar fan. However, I was looking for something that didn't burn 1.5 hours plus, mild enough to share with beginner smokers and that was budget conscious, but still enjoyable. This is it! Great construction, great mild flavors. Nice cinnamon and toast. The only issue I have had is that the band sticks to the wrapper on one or two, but the binder remained in tact. Try them! You won't regret it. It is a solid mild cigar.

Not a bad smoke, good for outdoors mowing grass. Have previously smoked the robusto size and liked it a bit more.

best cigar for the price,
These are well constructed and tasty. I have never had one spoon on me and find I enjoy them more than cigars that cost far more. In my humble opinion, these are the best buy on CI.

No complaints...
Bought some, lit one up, was not disappointed. Smoked well, good ash, good draw and mild taste. I'm pretty sure this isn't the first cigar Carlos has made. Keep up the good work, would buy again.

Torano disappointment
The Torano name should not be used on this cigar. I am familiar with Torano. The Torano 1916 is a great cigar in every way. Thought to try the Dominico line and was very disappointed in the flavor. Last 2" was very hard to smoke. The construction was ok and draw was fair.

Incredible
This cigar is the trifecta. The craftsmanship, the flavor and the price are just hard to believe. Each time I light one I'm impressed by the consistency. A mild cigar with an easy draw and the flavor of French toast ( before the syrup). For the first time I wish I had a larger humidor so I could really stock up on this bargain.

It's all about what you like.
I'm fairly new to the whole cigar smokung experience. Based on my limited experience and the things I've tried so far, I'm not a big fan. I really enjoy the Drew Estate line: Legends, Acid, etc. Have smoked several others. So really I'm just discovering what I like. I'm not blaming the cigar. It just didn't burn cool and smooth as some of the others. I think it's just a matter of preference.

Great everyday cigar
This is my favorite go to everyday cigar. Torano has always treated me very well and even though this is their lower priced, mild offering it carries quality in construction, burn and taste. I have a few special occasion selections in my humidor but most of the space is filled with solid smoking Dominicos.

Very mild cigar! Smooth and very enjoyable!

Bit of a letdown. Won't buy again
Not a cigar snob here. I usually buy what I can afford, the cheapos, but then again, you are reading this review looking for a decent cheapo. Good even burn. Pretty much stays lit. Not a lot of smoke that I look forward to. The ones that were not plugged/rolled tight were pretty decent. Most didn't smoke well until the last 1/3. I'm guessing Torano makes some good cigars but I don't think this is it. It was worth a shot but I probably won't buy these again.

Great deal my new regular smoke.
These cigars taste and perform well above their cost. Good even burn and mild smooth consistent flavor, win, win and win.

Keeper at this price point
I've had these in my humidor for a few months and I didn't think much of them a first. However, I now find that they really are a pretty good everyday smoke. They aren't the best constructed cigar as the wrapper can be a bit flaky. They burn fairly evenly with an easy draw and mild flavor. I will probably buy these again as the price is hard to beat.

3 STAR CIGAR...5 STAR SERVICE.
I bought these for my hubby to try. He said they are an ok puff to try. Only problem is that the cigar goes soft and starts to burn a little hot. They burn even however, and they do have a nice mild - medium taste. I have never had a problem with CI. Their delivery is always on time. Sometimes a day earlier. I will continue purchasing with CI.

Good mild smoke.
I received one of these in a sample pack a couple of years ago and liked it very much. I have since purchased 2 more boxes. the last one came just a couple of weeks ago. Burns well, nice and smooth, long ash.My wife even likes the aroma. These are my go to cigars. i prefer the Torpedo.
3 out of 5
If you like bargain cigars... which I do...
I received one in a Brown Bag Sampler. It's a fairly decent smoke. The first third was a bit peppery; but it was quickly over taken by the mild second third. I give it three stars because the wrapper was still a little green and it showed itself in the flavor. Overall, for being a cheaper stick it wasn't that bad.

Torano Dominicos
first, presentation very good, good construction, well made, wrapper flawless, nice band. Upon lighting, a little harsh first one-third of cigar, then mellows out. for a mild cigar, good flavor, better than most. The cigars I have smoked so far have a very uneven burn, which requires constant monitoring of ash. Enjoyable with a cup of dark roast coffee and choice reading material for a pleasant experience if you like to start your day with a mild cigar. I recommend because of the long-filler, quality name, good value and pleasant mild body.

Waste of money
Want to get sick. These will do it. These reviews. I have tried 5 or 6 cheapies and all were terrible. WHo would say they were good? Maybe they drink a lot and can't tell. I stop for a few days and feel fine. I try them again headache and sick feeling. I can smoke a lot of others and no prfob. I think most of these cheapies are either green tobacco or floor sweepings. Tired of wasting money on whoever is writing these reviews.,

A wonderful cigar!
This stick was a pleasant surprise. Has a very good looking Connecticut wrapper and is well constructed. A mild cigar to be sure, yet has a creamy smooth, bready taste with a bit of sweetness on the finish. This cigar is a great buy if you enjoy light cigars. Will always have thee in one of my humidors.

Wow. What a great cigar. It's pretty mild, but has all the flavor of a medium to full cigar (I might move it up a notch on CI's scale). What a deal too. I've not found another cigar of this quality at this price.

Delivers great flavor with a slow, even burn. When I want to relax this is the cigar I reach for; fits my limited retirement income with a great return on my investment.

Bitter Garbage
I have bought many cigars that didn't fit the flavors I like...That's life...These cigars are garbage, bitter from beginning to end with no other flaver.I smoked 3 out of the 20 and the rest are going in the garbage!

I wanted to hate this stick, but....
I received this cigar as part of a brown bag sampler. I really wanted to dislike this cigar. It is everything I tend to shy away from: a mild torpedo cheaper than dirt cigar. Unfortunately, it had other ideas. This cigar lit easily, and release a beautiful grassy scent into the air, before I had a change to take a draw. I was worried that it would fall apart as there were minor cracks in the wrapper, but it held ash for half the stick before finally deciding to drop it off. An easy smoker...smooth draw, decent flavor, and a cool burn through most of it. I finally ended the smoke at about 1.5 inches left, as the draw became too hot. Considering I am a "to the label" person most of the time, the fact I removed the label and continued on says a lot. Well worth the money if you like a mild cigar.

Good flavor but bad construction
Has a very good mild flavor but I'm very disappointed in the construction. I received it in a sampler and within the 1/3 of smoking it, the wrapper in the middle is started to come apart.

Best Flavor In Price Range
I've tried a lot of "value" cigars (mostly in samplers) but this is the first one I have actually bought a bundle of. This is a mild and mellow smoke with great flavor. Sweet cream, cedar, roasted nuts, toast all come together into a pleasant and relaxing smoke. They don't all burn perfectly and might require a touch up or two, but for the price, you can't beat this cigar.

Very good smoke, good price.
This is my go to cigar. I have smoked them for years and am always satisfied. The price is very reasonable and it is a mild, mellow cigar. I don't know all the technical terms, but I like it and will continue to buy it. When I share with my friends they say the same, quality cigar, great flavor.

Delicious mild cigar
Really good buy for about an hour of smoking. I always like to experiment less expensive cigars because I smoke more than I should and I don't want to pay a fortune just on tobacco alone. That doesn't mean that I don't pay more for a good cigar time to time, on occasions. With Torano Dominico I had good experiences so far. Even burn, plenty of smoke and really good flavor. It is probably my favorite day by day cigar. Out of 25 cigars so far there was only one that had a notch in it and could not draw very good. I am ok with that considering that this happened to other, more expensive cigars like Romeo by R&J and Montecristo. These cigars are made by hand and not all of them are perfect, I understand that. I would keep buying Torano Dominico in the future and recommend these to my friends.

A solid, affordable option
An enjoyable cigar, especially for the price. I shared the bundle with a number of different people, and they went well with several different beverages. Consistent flavor and burn, good construction. They made for affordable cigars to hand out to a group. These aren't 5-star cigars; but they certainly qualify as 4-star when price is considered.

Nice daily stick. I'd call it a "hearty mild".
One of my daily sticks. Haven't had a bad one in the whole bundle. Will be ordering more soon. Nice mild-med smoke. more like a hearty mild.. notes of cedar and good ole tobacco.. I'm sure there are more flavors, but I don't notice them while fishing, yardwork, etc... and that is where this cheap diamond shines!

No more
I have ordered these cigars in the past and you'd think I would have learned my lesson, but noooo. But now i have and will never order them again. They are cheaply made and rolled and most of them started falling apart shortly after I took them out of the humidor and one basically "exploded" that day after I received them.

I really enjoy these sticks. I give them 5 stars for consistency, nice even burn, great draw and the fact that I can set them down for a few and they don't go out. It's very rare that I ever need to retouch one. Another plus is the fact that they hold the ash quite well. And let's not forget to mention that they are priced right for handing out to people, gals as well as gents and are enjoyed by all. After all they ARE Torano

Kind of surprised that this cigar had so many positive reviews. I thought this stick to be mostly pepper in flavor and devoid of any of that nice sweetness and aroma you get with a Connecticut wrapper. It tastes like a $1.00 cigar, meh..

Still not a fan
This is the second Torano cigar that I've had...the other being the Circa 1995...and I guess I'm just not a fan. The Circa '95 was an absolutely horrible smoking experience...the draw was terrible...the cigar was extremely bitter....it had an obnoxiously uneven burn and a flimsy black ash. The Dominco that I just finished smoking was a much better smoke, but still not one that I would be interested in trying again, and certainly not one I would consider buying. The Dominico burned much better. Very even..stayed lit and had a decent draw. I didn't notice much for flavor other than a very peppery twinge that constantly lingered on the tongue and it got a bit bitter after the first third, but not nearly as bad as the Circa '95. Don't think I'll be adding this to the wish list. I'll just move on to the next.

Good for the bucks
I bought these on a sale deal and am very pleased. They are a good everyday cigar or for the golf course. The needed a few weeks to age in the humidor, but turned into a quality some. Good amount of mild smoke delivered in an easy draw. Gets a little warm toward the end, but that is to be expected. Good value for money.

Great mild smoke at a great price. Would buy again
Both I and my brother bought a bundle of these when CI was running a special on these, because the price was insanely low. Both I and my brother were very pleased. The construction is great. The wrapper is smooth and gorgeous. This is a great mild smoke for when you are in the mood for a light smoke, but it has some complexity to it to keep you interested. I compare these to a nicely aged Macanudo. At the price CI charges for these even when not on special, you cannot go wrong

Torano Dominico Robusto order
After many years this was the second great order received. Torano does not make a bad cigar. The Dominico is an excellent price point. It is mild to medium and certainly more unidimensional than say the 1959 exodus, but at around two dollars a stick, they are well worth it. Great golf cigar. If you misplace one on the course, you lost maybe 50 cents. Light up another. And they generally stay lit.

Top tier taste for less money
My favorite cigar is the Carlos Toraño Exodus 1959, but I can’t afford to smoke these all the time, so I often have to settle for cheaper, less satisfying cigars. When I saw the Toraño Domenico on sale, I tried a pack each of torpedo and churchill. What a wonderful smoke! It gives me most of what I like in the Exodus, but at a price so affordable that I can smoke it every day. If you are looking for something a little better for your everyday smokes, try one of these, especially if you have enjoyed some of the other Toraño cigars in the past.

Easy to please
My order with the Torano Dominicos came in the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. By the next night I couldn't wait to try one any longer. It was a fantastic cigar! Good draw. Slow, even burn. It met all the requirements I have of an enjoyable cigar. My palate isn't trained well enough to get into the technicalities, so I'll leave it at that. It's been just under 4 weeks that remaining cigars have been resting in my humidor and I can't wait to smoke more of them soon!

Finally an Everyday Cigar That Offers Consistency and Value Without Sacraficing Quality
I have been extremely pleased with these cigars and I have ordered them on several occasions. Having done so I have a baseline for comparison and I am pleased to say that consistency is spot on. These sticks are a bargain at this price and are better than many brands that charge premium prices. The draw produces an abundance of smoke and the burn is even start to finish. I have smoked half of a cigar without flicking an ash which is a testament to its build quality. It is a mild cigar with enough flavor that you won't be disappointed. I buy the robusto 5 x 50 ring size and I don't feel guilty if I don't have time to finish it. This is a great everyday smoke and you won't mind giving a few to your occasional cigar smoking buddies. The House of Torano makes some very nice smokes and this one is no exception. Cigars International has provided exceptional service and if I order them early enough in the day I receive them next day since I reside within 150 miles from their shipping point. Good product and prices, great service, way to go CI!!

Great Smoke
I would classify these sticks as tweeners. They are better than your average everyday cigar but not quite as good as some of the pricier sticks out there. I make it a point to keep a stock of these in my humidor because they are economically priced, taste great, draw evenly, burn slow and are well constructed. These sticks are an excellent choice.

Cigars Not What Expected
The description for these cigars suggests they all are mild (on the "mild" to "full" scale), but that wasn't the case. Disappointed I could only smoke a few out of the whole bundle. Had a lingering aftertaste. Might consider buying from Cigars Int'l. in the future since they offer a good price. Chris S.

I have been buying these cigars for a few years now on a regular basis. They were out of stock for quite a while, and since their return, it seems every package has been very dry. Now I just order more and let the humidor work on them for awhile before trying to smoke them. Great cigar for the price.

The Toro size is better
I really do enjoy these Dominico's and would give it a 5 star rating as an everyday breakfast smoke with that second cup of java but I guess I just prefer the Toro size better. They are all pretty consistent with only a couple here and there with draw issues. They are also great handout smokes because almost everyone thinks they are a more expensive stick. They really are a fine mild smoke to start the day with that don't break the bank.

I just can't find much good to say about this cigar . I will say that it is cheap and mild . It produces good amount of smoke and the draw is good ...but.. the after-taste is like I just chewed up a aspirin , bitter on every draw. I guess it is a give away cigar.

I love Carlos Torano cigars
The Torano Dominico Robusto is my everyday cigar and has been for several years now. I literally smoke at least one every day. The construction is fairly consistent allowing almost always an even burn with a very nice plume. The cigar is a light medium smoke and has an aroma that is pleasant to cigar smokers and non-smokers alike which is always important to me with any cigar I smoke. We cigar smokers get a bad enough rap as it is even without having a skanky smelling cigar so I do my part to make sure everyone can enjoy the aroma of my smoke. But I digress, the price point on this cigar is really what makes it a winner allowing me to smoke hundreds of them over the years. (Please keep it that way). Please don't ever run out of stock again. Last year was a big scare. I don't want to have to search for another everyday cigar.

Torano Dominico
This has been a good smoke for a long time. I have noticed steady improvement in the quality of the cigars over that past year which was a nice surprise. Priced right for a daily smoker with a mild flavor. I have recommended this cigar to many friends. Hopefully that take my word and purchase them for themselves.

Not as smooth as I had hoped
Certainly not bad or real negative, but just a bit harsh for my taste. I got a bundle for every day smoking and wanted a milder stick. I LOVE Torano cigars so this seemed like a no-brainer. Taste is fine, draw is wonderful, but like I said, it just seems a little harsh and not quite as enjoyable as hoped.

Tasty, stays lit and burns evenly. Good Value. My only criticism is that I wish that they would last longer. I guess you get what you pay for.

Worth the deal for sure. Nice construction!
These are quite good for the price. If you're a mild smoker then you will really enjoy this deal! I think they change from a mild to medium in the 2nd 3rd of the stick which I don't mind a bit. Good flavored cigars and well constructed from the one's smoked so far. Very even burn and draw was not tight whatsoever. I'd would suggest these to any mild smoker looking for a great deal for a everyday cigar!

Consistently Excellent
This was my 4th box of Dominicos. None have disappointed. While this cigar is much milder than what I usually prefer, it is always a consistent smoke from start to finish. Burns easily, draws well, and tastes great.

Great everyday smoke
I've smoked a few bundles, and other than one cigar, each smoked consistently good, and even. None fell apart like some cheaper alternatives and the flavor was consistent throughout. They are mild to medium, without any hot or peppery taste.

Customer Testimonials
The best everyday smoke around. Surprisingly good for such a low price.
Have to add my accolades to this cigar - hard to believe a cigar can be this good at such a low price - think it tastes great with a very nice draw.
I'm a huge fan of Torano cigars, but these were a little too mild for my taste. The construction is quality and the price is right for anyone looking for a good mild cigar.
Very nicely built and a great full flavored smoke.
Good, mild smoke with nice structure.
Fantastic, very good buy for the money. I have spent twice as much for cigars that were not as good.
My first ever CI purchase and it was NOT a disappointment. Great everyday smoke, with a nice smooth draw and a lovely, subtle wrapper that was great for after dinner sessions or just bumming around. A buddy and I have bought this bundle several times. Insane value!!!
These are great. Good all around anytime cigars, well worth the gelt!!!
For about $1.50 a piece you can't smoke anything better....I love these with a nice whiskey. Torano has never dissapointed me and their quality is excellent.
This cigar has to be the most enjoyable smoke I have had in a long time....it is sooooo mild and so nice that it now my cigar....if you are looking for a very mild and enjoyable smoke....this it......Mud Marine
A nice smoke and mild in flavor. A meaty cigar in taste and flavor.
Best bang for the buck cigar I've ever tasted!
This is one helluva good budget smoke. Recently I had to scale back on my premiums like Fonseca 5-50 and CAO Gold due having to go onto a disability income in my early 40's. Anyway, my search first led me to the Cu-Avana natural which has been a great replacement, but I also wanted a second daily stick to smoke and my trek led me to the Torano Dominico. The Torano Dominico is a pretty ballsy stick. The Robusto looks and feels slightly bigger than a 50 ring gauge and it seems to weigh more. The Torano Dominico is well constructed, burns even, and has a surprisingly great flavor. The Torano Dominico starts out mild and tasty with little or no spice and stays pretty consistent all the way through and builds slightly to a mild-medium in the last third of the stick. If you smoke mild cigars like I do and you are having to scale back and keep your premiums for special occasions, I highly suggest the Torano Dominico and the Cu-Avana natural.
Premium cigar at a throw-away price. Classic mild Dominican flavor.
The last batch I received were too tightly rolled. Extremely hard draw. I'll try one more order and if cigars are rolled too tight I'm returning the shipment.
Great cigar. It has quickly become my fave even though my humidor is stocked with lots of pricey (over pricey?) cigars like Cohiba. I ordered the Torano Noventa and was disappointed; it could not shine Dominico's shoes. (I returned it for a refund. CI is good in that regard.) I will reorder a bundle shortly.
This cigar is so good I have to stop and think about it while I am smoking my one per day with my cocktail at 5. As with all cigars, humidifaction (to humdify) is critical and so easy with nothing fancier than a sealable glass jar and a the thing the shape of a cigar from of course Cigars Int. They are reall great and I have tried quite a few. I am re ordering now!
great smoke and oh the price makes them even better
Such a great deal on an excellent cigar! Goes from mild to medium throughout the smoke. Ordering my second bundle!
when you buy a bundle., rest in your humidor for week. Th cigar has a nice draw and plenty of smoke. A nice cheap cigar!
These cigars have problems. You can't keep it lit because the tobacco is packed way to tight. Did not enjoy them...
GOOD CIGARS
My favorite go to smoke. Perfect burn and good flavor every time. Highly recommended!
Smooth smoke with a slight wrapper issue, but not enough to not buy again. Flavors are light, but easily recognizable. Recommended, great buy.
Got one of these in a CI bundle, was Churchill sized, and was very surprised! Started out at the light with a VERY spicy hit (almost like it was full of cayenne pepper) that faded quickly, say within 5 minutes or so. The first third had that hay/tobacco taste people are talking about, but the second third was very creamy as the hay faded. The last third had the cream fade to a subtle point, but with a leather taste coming through to the end. If these sound like good flavors to you I'd say give it a try.
These cigars are very mild. There was a hint of pepper in the after taste that was actually rather pleasant. I was smoking them in an adverse conditions, which led to issues keeping the cigar lit. Another issue was the uneven burn. This happened because I was on a golf course with 25 plus miles per hour winds, given that I'm certainly not going to hold the cigar responsible for those issues. Given its relative cheapness I would expect some mild burn issues. I'm not sure whether or not this will become my new golfing cigar, but I was actually pleasantly surprised with this cigar. I could definitely see myself smoking one of these on the front nine and the back nine.
I've now gone through a few bundles of these, Noventas they're not, but a decent smoke. Some inconsistencies with construction, but nothing terrible. Great price.
Just got my second bundle! Love them! Keep them in stock please!
I, like the majority of people nowadays, am usually a medium-full smoker. But I never snub my nose at a Connecticut, and that's the wrapper variety I prefer to start my day with, so I'm always keeping an eye out for a tasty one. This is one of them. The price, the blend, the everything, it's all right.... As I'm sure the majority of you already know, Torano couldn't make a bad cigar if he tried. And this price is off the freakin' heezy for sheezy.
Great cigar, love it!
Not the type of Connecticutt I had hoped for, and you need to let them rest for a few weeks. But overall a good deal nonetheless.
Looks good. Smells of hay/grass. Burn was perfect, ashed to a perfect cone. Flavor... Meh. Nothing beyond slightly grassy tobacco and a bit of harshness on the finish. I didn't make it halfway before I wrote it off. Stick to the Exodus, which is one of my favorite, which made this one so disappointing.
Wonderful every day smoke. Smokes evenly from beginning to end. It may be the best value out there.
Although a novice, I have enjoyed Carlos Torano before (Noventas and 1916 Camaroons among my favs). I bought this as an inexpensive smoke and was prepared to be disappointed. Smoked one off the truck (against my better judgement since I was low on stock). Pleasantly surprised. Not a great "looking" cigar in its somewhat veiny Connecticut wrapper, but a mild, pleasant smoke. Started off earthy and then got a very slight jam and spice flavor, but not overwhelming. Consistent burn and ash from the Dominican filler. Flavor consistent from beginning to end after the first inch. Don't know why they are so inexpensive. They compare well to a Hampton Court or similar in strength. Great value.
There are many cheap natural Dominican cigars out there, too many in my opinion. Most of them are not worth the $1 they cost. This cigar is not one of those. It is cheap in price, but not in materials. The flavor is good and the construction is excellent. I've moved away from natural wrappers in favor of maduros, but every once in awhile I like a milder cigar. This one is great to buy a bundle and put away for sharing or a change of pace.
I typically buy Robusto size cigars since I have a heavy draw and about half way through I get them hot and harsh and I am forced to pitch it. I like mild Cigars and especially Dominican so I tried these since they fit my budget for an every day stick and I have smoked Torano before without any issues unlike some other brands (Rocky Patel, Gurkha, and Brickhouse). To sum up the experience in as little words as possible, "This cigar simply delivers." The flavor is mellow, the draw is perfect, ash is firm, burn flawless, and they do not get harsh on the palate. I really enjoy these cigars and would buy them at twice or even triple the price. Fuente should take notice. Honestly if you are still reading this then you are wasting time. Stop. Buy. Enjoy. Thank me later...
I've been doing business with CI for several years. Love the Vega 5, but for the money, the Torano's are my favorite everyday smoke.
