6/9/15 Stopped into one of my local-ish cigar shops and in talking with the knowledgable young fellow left in charge, decided to pick up a couple that I'd not tried before. He had a peculiar look on his face when he recommended this (in his words) "very unique cigar." Working on it now, I have to say, this is MAGNIFICENT!!! Pricey, yes, but for my special occasion this is a definite winner. Something I can't quite place. Is that the tarragon the other reviewer mentioned? Something very noticeable on the retro hale. Complex enough without any over-stated pepper. Just plain delightful!
This is Johnson & Pepin at their best. The Grand Cojonu is easily as good as the Black Label and bigger. Not a fan of large ring cigars, but this is an exception. No usual Pepin pepper blast. Sweet, creamy, coffee with a little tarragon. Worth every penny.
