As the burn progresses, expect additional notes of oak, espresso, and rich tobacco as a slightly peppery flavor enters the fray. Wowsers! This beast is rough and rugged. The first cigar I've found that put me in my place. It packs full flavor and complexity with a head spinning punch. I didn't follow advice and eat a meal prior to lighting this gem but it was so meaty I should have. I now have a go to for when I'm feeling froggy! Silky smooth draw and tons of fragrant smoke. I will have to eat a Tbone prior to my next Fausto.
Picked up a 5 pack from Joe's Daily Deals and since it's one of the few cigars from Pete's regular production lines I'd never smoked, I was excited. It definitely lived up to my excitement. A great full bodied, full flavored experience. I'm thinking I might have to pick up a box.
When the logo for the cigar is the devil....you should watch out. I wouldn't say they are punisher strong or even graycliff expresso....but they are better than both of those put together and I have been a Graycliff fan for over a decade. Fausto is another masterpiece by Pete Johnson of Tatuaje fame. Complex, perfectly constructed, delicious down to the nub, Fausto is one that follows the quote from The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly..."After a meal there's nothing like a good cigar". And believe me, you want food on the stomach when you smoke one of these beauties. They will easily knock you for a loop.
Eat a steak, some cheesecake, smoke one of these and call it a week... You won't forget it! Hearty and Heavenly!
I was warned but not as strong as I had in mind. Amazing smoke, complex and tasty. Will definetly smoke another, Keep em coming Pete!
