Sobremesa

A relaxing and complex blend.

Sobremesa has no exact translation but loosely refers to the time spent at the table after a meal, time spent in conversation, relaxing, drinking, and enjoying a fine premium cigar. This blend seeks to convey the feeling of enjoyment and embracing life’s simple pleasures. Sobremesa marks the return of Steve Saka, former President and CEO of Drew Estate, to the cigar industry and is the initial release under his newly formed company, Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust.

Sobremesa hails from the Joya de Nicaragua factory in Nicaragua and pays homage to what made Saka fall in love with cigars. The blend begins with a dark Ecuadorian Rosado wrapper hugging a Mexican binder from Matacapan and a long-filler blend of Nicaragua tobaccos and PA Broadleaf ligero. Sobremesa begins with an earthy sweetness and progresses to include flavors of spice, nougat, cedar, and coffee to provide a pleasant and evolving experience.

odiedThis is one of the very few cigars that I will smoke down until I burn my fingers. My collection contains dozens of brands of cigars, and this is one of the best that I save until I have time to smoke the entire stick.
A perfect smoke

Just a man with a cigar
Steve and Cindy Saka have created yet another amazing smoke. I have given all thier cigars "Two crooked thumbs up" on my review site Bozz Cigar Reviews. Waiting for the newest release the Sin Compromiso to hit the shelves. A must have cigar from Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust and CI.

Very smooth. A good smoke.

Sake hits a Grand Slam!!
What a great cigar!! Steve and his team did a great job with this 1.5 hour beauty!!Never had to relight it. I’m in Los Angeles so we r a bit drier than areas where it is humid. In comparison to Liga Privada, Sobremesa feels like it’s packed with a bit more tobacco. Great cigar!!

Great smoke and couldn’t beat the price.
I liked this smoke a definate medium smoke that starts out light and gets fuller but great flavors. I would definitely buy again.

Second time ordering these cigars.
Second time ordering these cigars. These cigars are so smooth and have a great flavor. Nice draw and even burn through out. Great cigar to enjoy after a nice meal or with a glass of whiskey. Will definitely be ordering more!

Sombresa
Good cigar. Not what I expected from creator of drew estate. Nice flavor, draw was just so so. I like nice easy draw with clouds of smoke. Overall good but not at that price point.

Sobremesa is in my top five cigars
I tried these as a one off in a cigar shop. Glad that I did. Of the over one hundred different cigars that I have smoked these are solidly in my top five. The aroma is sweet and nutty with caramel and grilled peaches. They're the new definition of nose candy. Don't start one of these until you have 1.5 hours to do it right and smoke it down to the nub. Smoke them out of the wind where the smoke can linger around you. Enjoy folks!

Disappointing Burn
Enjoyed the flavor and draw of the short torpedo. However, every one of them burned extremely uneven. Would not purchase this size again.

Great little cigar
Surprised at this find. Tightly rolled, nice medium to full flavor. My only criticism is that I wish they were a little longer so I could enjoy them a little more each time.

A solid offering. My second favorite blend of Saka's in the Dunbarton lineup.

Terrific smoke
Great flavor, aroma, taste, long burning, but perfect draw. Everything you want in a good cigar.

Great Cigar, Poor Care
Great cigar at a great price. Arrived dry with half of them cracked.

Not a great cigar
Little harsh actually thought it would be better

Excelent
The only complaint about this cigar is the size, when it’s over you still want some more, get a toro

Love Sobremesa just not the Torpedo
Always keep these in my humidor but normally buy the Toro. Ordered the Torpedo by mistake, just doesn't smoke the same for me. My fault not CI's mistake.

Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust "Sobremesa""
Great looking cigar. The first one I smoked was a little bit of a challenge. A few minutes after lightning the wrapper began to unravel and then binder split open a little later near the head. After a few weeks in humidor the burn is much better and cigar produced an abundant amount of rich flavors.

Sobremesa
Excellent stick, one of my go to cigars!

Short but big on flavor
The Sobremesa is a great cigar no matter what size you choose; however, the short torpedo is that perfect 1/2 hour smoke with tons of flavor.

Buy it!
I tried this vitola for the first time Tuesday night and I really enjoyed this cigar. The Short Torpedo to me started off as a medium smoke but with medium- full flavor to it. As it got just past the final third, the cigar punched me with some full flavor that ended the cigar nicely. The construction, draw and burn was perfect, no issues with a razor sharp burn line. Do not hesitate to try this cigar.

Amended review
Ok, I wanted to edit my previous review on this cigar, but I can't find a way to do that, so I will submit another. My first experience with the cigar was unpleasant to say the least. But now that I have let the others sit in the humidor for a while, I have to say this was an amazing cigar. My first attempt was smoking one that had been in the mail for over a week. I should have known better. This is a great smoke. And it comes from a company that really cares about customer satisfaction. I am a sobremesa uberfan from now on. I will be purchasing a box of these ASAP. Thanks to CI. They DO read these reviews, and WILL follow up with you to ensure customer satisfaction. Great cigar, great company, great retailer.

Sobremesa's a winner!
I am a fan of Nicaraguan cigars and found the Sobremesa to be a medium-full without being overpowering. Some cigars have an overwhelming pepper bite, but not the short churchill. Lots of earthy flavors and coffee don't overwhelm the taste buds but give a great smooth smoking experience. It might be higher priced, but can fit into my budget's rotation.

Didn't care for this smoke
I bought this because the people on a cigar forum were raving about it. I didn't like it about all, I found it bitter, abd brackish. With some funky metallic aftertaste. Won't buy these again.

Great Cigars AND Service
These sticks are a great smoke but I knew that going into the purchase. What I didn't realize was the level of commitment this company had to its customers. My package was lost by the carrier en route. I emailed the service department to ask about it. Within two hours I had a PHONE CALL from a rep asking more information to try to find my package and she informed me a replacement was on its way. Phenomenal customer service will win me over as a customer every time and Cigars International performed great.

Sobremesa
Only been into cigars about a year, but this is one of the very best I've enjoyed. Not cheap, but a great smoke. Long even burn, great taste, will definitely get more.

Sobremesa Robusto Largo
I'll have to say, a nice smoke. This cigar definitely burns nice, and a very smooth tasting cigar. The aroma is pleasant. Goes well with an IPA! One of the better cigars I've had in awhile.

Favorite Stick!
Steve Saka delivered on this one! Complex, rich, smooth smoke that is definitely a top contender. Will meet your expectations and then some!

Good even burn great draw consistent throughout

Awesome smoke!!
Possibly my new favorite. I've never understood when people described a cigar as "slick", but I'm guessing this is it. Great deep flavors that leave an oily aftertaste that is not in any way bad. Think of it like a rib-eye steak. Will definitely be buying more.
