Romeo y Julieta — the OG of the cigar world. Or I guess in this case it’s an OC – an original Cuban brand that has been satisfying cigar enthusiasts for generations. Now, teaming up with industry legend AJ Fernandez, this newest Romeo y Julieta incarnation is here to make its mark on the world. Delivering a complex flavor and featuring some of the finest tobaccos in the world, Romeo y Julieta by AJ shows us a glimpse of what can happen when two legends unite. 

Handmade in AJ’s factory in Nicaragua, the Romeo y Julieta by AJ Fernandez features a spicy Habana 2000 Maduro wrapper and a bevy of Nicaraguan long-fillers. The result is a slow-burning cigar, rife with notes of cocoa, subtle spice, and roasted nuts. You may think Romeo is only capable of producing mellow cigars — but with Romeo by AJ, that thought should be immediately dismissed.

I’ve yet to have a bad experience with anything AJF has put together and this was no exception… fantastic smoke and in my eyes better than the original, although that says a lot because it’s a classic that never fails to impress. This is just the upgraded version! The main thing I love about AJ’s smokes is that they’re always constructed with perfection… every single time. His smokes are what I compare almost all others to when it comes to construction because it’s always flawless quality control. This is just s beauty… if you haven’t had one yet, do yourself a favor and get this now! You will not regret it!

Normally don’t go for a Romeo y Julieta but, with AJF involved I had to try it. Glad I did. Really great cigar with a rich, deep medium-full flavor. Burnt perfectly with a long mottled grey ash that just hangs there beautifully. Taste IMO - cedar/pleasant oaky (kind of like a Kentucky rick house), rich grilled woodsy mushroom, deep stone fruit, cocoa and pepper spice. Loved them and you will too. Another fantastic AJF project. Be careful or you’ll burn your fingers in the end you won’t want to come.

I just smoked 5 of these sticks and I was blown away. Flavor from light up to finish never let up. Draw was exceptional. I am a fan of AJ Fernandez and this Romeo just blew away any of his offerings. Burn was even and never had to relight.

I love all AJ. New World probably stays at my #1 favorite of all his blends, the new Romeo has to be #1A. Easy to light, burns evenly, gives up lots of smoke. And the flavor? Earthy. Authentic richness and flavor right down to the nub. If you've ever tried at least one of AJ's offerings, you have to try these. I'm pretty sure you will really like them.
