20 Years of Vintage!

The Rocky Patel Vintage lineup is one of Rocky Patel’s greatest creations. The Patel Family has been selling cigars since the early 90s, but around 2003, they changed their name to Rocky Patel Cigar Company and released their first Vintage Cigars – the Vintage 1990 and Vintage 1992 blends. These featured tobaccos harvested in those respective years, and ever since, they’ve been setting aside premium tobaccos to age to meet the promise of those original blends. And today, we celebrate 20 years of the Vintage line being on the market with a brand-new blend – Rocky Patel Vintage 20th Anniversary. 

The Cigar is dark and imposing with its inky Connecticut broadleaf wrapper first harvested back in 2007. The bands are elegantly colored with a regal teal flanked with silver and gold accents. Beneath the capa are dark tobaccos comprised of a flavorful Brazilian binder and Nicaraguan long-fillers. This jovial roster of hard-hitting tobaccos produces a full-bodied flavor profile but remains well-rounded and balanced. Notes of espresso, earth, cocoa, and some spice all greet the palate while maintaining a delightful natural sweetness from these well-aged tobaccos! This blend is something worth celebrating, so grab a box today!

Oooh, these are good. I’m smoking one right now. A real nice draw. An even burn with a long-lasting white ash. Good flavor. A strong cigar, but that’s fine with me. You can never go wrong with a Rocky Patel.

This stick is a winner for sure. It was very consistent on burn staying pretty even throughout the entire session. The flavor was very good - Rocky Patel certainly did a fantastic job creating the anniversary blend for the vintage series. The quality on these are exactly what I have come to love and expect when I buy any Rocky Patel. Definitely earned its place in my humidor !!!

Great burn, solid white ash, great smoke texture. ( billowy white ) at light up and 1st 1/2", definitely paperbag, cardboard flavor. Then, hint of sweetness, tea, carmel flavors. No aged tobacco taste, at all. Definitely a multi tobacco mix, as u looked at the burning end , u could see the wrapper, then a tin layer, then thicker layer, and the center burning tobac.. not a cigar I would purchase again, and I love all other vintage class rp smokes!

It had a good flavor, the website is very knowledgeable. The stick had a hard draw and burnt uneven, i enjoyed the the 10 year anniversary cigar much better. That is my opinion and you have to make your own judgment. Thank`s Mark.

I have smoked all of the vintage line. My very first hand made cigar was the vintage 1990, Churchill. Mighty tasty! I do have to admit that I was a little disappointed with this cigar being a celebratory cigar for the vintage line. I expected a real "Wow" and received a tasty cigar but nothing like the 1990 or 2003, which are great. Hence, the four stars. I have been wrong before on reviews after cigars had a longer period of acclimating in humidor. I have had this cigar in humidor for only a few days after receiving them. Tip of the hat to CI for their quick response in getting order to me since original order was lost. Thank you!
