Didn't lose an 'edge'.Edge Habano cigars represents the next chapter in Rocky Patel's 91-rated Edge saga. Known as some of the industry's most full-tilt, yet well-balanced blends, the Edge Habano had some pretty big shoes to fill. But the good news is, it doesn't just fill them, it stomps around in them like no tomorrow. Marking the first Edge to utilize purely Nicaraguan tobaccos, each Edge Habano shows up well-equipped for a full-flavored ride.
On the outside awaits a dark and feisty Nicaraguan Habano wrapper, patiently aged and fermented. This leaf conceals a rich and powerful core of long-filler tobaccos hailing from the volcanic black soils of Nicaragua's most fertile regions. Together this recipe strikes up a bevy of bold yet refined flavors. Notes of cedar, spice, black pepper, cocoa, and earth mingle in this uber-smooth, full-bodied blend. Put this one in the books - Edge Habano cigars are winners.Rocky Patel Edge Habano received Top 25 honors for 2015 (#7 overall) and a well-deserved 94-rating noting: "The countrified blend is spicy and woody, smacking of hickory and leather."
A really great cigar right down to the nub.
There isn't a cigar in Cuba that can compare to this one. It's that good.
I'm fortunate to live right about a mile away from your Superstore in Bethlehem. This cigar has become my "go to" stick for months now. It's so easy to walk in and pick up a six pack. The price is right, but more importantly it just such a great tasting, great burning cigar. The flavor stays steady throughout the smoke, and it truly is a finger burner. If I didn't live so close, I'd be buying a box on a regular basis!
The first few draws had a bite then it got really smooth and tasty. I am enjoying this cigar. My favorite is the Maduro Edge. It kicks ass! This one is good too.
This is a great full but smooth body cigar, that continues to develop as it's smoked. While I'm not ready to say it's better than some of the Diesels. I can honestly say that the edge doesn't have to take a back seat to any cigar. The strength of the smoke is mellowed out by the flavour. A must try cigar for those who like medium to full, and there may even be some of you mild smokers enjoy the Edge Habano.
Amazing cigar from RP!! Went to my local shop yesterday and saw these, the blue band grabbed me. From the first puff to the last was great, even burn easy draw. The flavors were spicy with a touch of coffee and cocoa. I will be ordering a box of these boys! Keep up the great work Rocky.
I am a big fan of the original edge so I definitly had to try new one and im glad I did. From first puff to last incredible cigar. Slick oily habano wrapper, well constructed and burned even throughout. I got nice black pepper at first and a slight sweet finish with some cedar and a long finish. Flavor profile doesnt evolve much except to get stronger towards the nub, but the flavors were so good thats fine by me.
Cornucopia of flavors assault you from the first puff, consistant from beginning to end, easy draw, excellent burn. One of the best blends put out by Rocky Patel in years and best new cigar in 2012. I smoke it down to the nub, have only tried the torpedo.
Great cigar from the first to last puff, I smoke these to the nub. One of the best blends Rocky Patel has put out in years.
