Enjoy the gentler side of Edge cigars.
Many have fallen in love with Rocky’s original Edge, a full-throttle blend that combines an aggressive, full-bodied strength with perfectly balanced flavor. However, for most of us pedestrians this is not an everyday cigar. That’s why Edge Connecticut cigars were created.
Crafted for those seeking big-time flavor without the knockout punch, Edge Connecticut combines a robust blend of Honduran-grown ligero – the same tobaccos used for the original Edge cigar – inside a silky Connecticut shade wrapper that’s super smooth. This wrapper tames the beast inside, issuing a smoother, creamier blend but retaining the complex layers of flavor that made it so popular.
Good news! Rocky Patel The Edge Connecticut has earned a well-deserved 91-point rating, noting: "A sweet and spicy double corona with hints of citrus and a floral finish. The smoke is dense in texture and the cigar draws quite consistently."
Just finished smoking one of these coupled with a glass of Makers 46. Awesome smoke! I will be buying more of these. Most flavorful mild bodied smokes ever.
Such a nice cigar. A ton of flavor even in the lite version. I haven't had the regular one yet but if it's more flavorful than this one it might get to the point of overpowering. Despite all the flavor, conveniently there isn't much smell. I golfed and smoked one and when I got home nobody knew I smoked.
This Cigar is a good smoke when Rocky Patel makes them correctly. I just recently purchased some of the Rocky Patel Edge Lites and I cannot draw any air or smoke through the stick. I tried different methods of cuts. I like to start off with a punch but when that does not work, I will go to a straight cut. I am still unable to draw anything from this stick.
This is a great smoke. If you like the Rocky Patel Connecticut you will love this cigar. Nice draw and just a all around great cigar. I love the Connecticut but I think I've found my favorite. I'm going to buy a box. It can become expensive but this is almost a everyday smoke for me.
Very nice and smooth, Just enough to get the job done. This is now my everyday smoke. Very creamy, light smoke. It will stay light for a long period. Thanks Rocky.
I'm not going to go against the many high remarks given by other reviews prior to mine, since the Edge is a good cigar. However, I will suggest/challenge any one to put the Edges Lite up against a cigar made by Davidoff called the Corazone, and goes for around $58.00 dollars a box. You will not sacrifice an oz of flavor, and after the Edge has burned out. I will still be smoking the Corazone that remains even all the way to the end, at least another 15 min.
Sometimes lost in the shuffle (Rocky has a zillion blends!), Edge Lite is a wonderful cigar -- probably my Desert Island pick. It has a distinctive, one-of-a-kind taste, unlike any other cigar. Rich, mellow, woody. I could smoke a hundred other cigars 'til they all blur together, pick up an EL blindfolded and go "ahhhh!" It's a special cigar.
The Edge Lite is so creamy and good-smelling that the wife doesn't mind me smoking these in the house. Thus, an Edge Lite on New Year's eve has become something of a tradition for the past two years. Smooth, complex, this is a very fine cigar. Even for someone like me who has migrated to full bodied blends over the years - I can definitely appreciate the quality blend, excellent construction, and fine mellow flavor of these. I would recommend trying one regardless of your preferred flavor profile. You may be surprised at how good they are and even work them into your normal rotation!
Picked up one of the Robustos at a local shop to try. Even though I got it from their humidor room I let it sit a few weeks in my own. It smelled wonderful even before lighting it. So, out to to the porch I went for some relaxation with a new smoke. It had a nice smooth draw and burned even and flawlessly. It was so much more than I was expecting. Mild, with a great plume of smoke with every puff. For me, nearly two hours later of pure cigar bliss and I finally worked down to the nub. I have never had a cigar that burned so slow (in a good way) and evenly as this one. It went straight to the top of my "Special treat" cigar list. Simply Perfection!
Maybe the best cigar ever. The bomb! The label on the end of the cigar is almost impossible to remove without slight damage to the Connecticut wrapper. I don't know how many of these cigars that Rocky smokes but this great one needs the label left completely off or placed closer to the regular spot. The 6/60 is not an everyday cigar but for special occasions, it is awesome. Mild but easy to win the respect of the seasoned cigar smoker. Lots of smoke. The smaller sizes, excellent as well.
Dense construction, beautiful wrapper, smooth veinless, excellent draw. Mild yet complex. Excellent smoke!
This cigar caught my attention right from the viewing. It was well put together and had that look of one constructed by experts. The wrapper was the perfect color and it was smooth, no veins showing. It had an excellent draw and you could taste the well put together filler. This cigar kept me wondering what I was going to taste next. I tasted that earthy flavor we are all looking for as well as a pleasant aftertaste of a nice woody spice. I savored this cigar like it was the last one I would get for a while. I smoked it so long I thought I would burn my fingers before I gave it up.
You can never go wrong with this smoke. A personal favorite and one of my top three cigars. I also wish we could buy them in smaller quantity though as $300 is a bit more than I usually allot to my cigar budget.
I just received the Rocky Patel Mild-Medium sampler (a recent one day deal). Like most of you, I couldn't wait to try one and chose the Edge Lite as my evening smoke. The construction was impeccable; the draw perfect. While not as "full" as the Edge, it was excellent with just the right amount of complexity and finish. Rocky Patel will definitely be a regular resident in my humidor.
The Edge Lite is a wonderfully flavorful cigar. I just wish they would sell them in smaller quanitities.
Though the edge has a new "edge" label, it has to be one of the more consistant somes for the money. It has the alluring oily Honduran wrapper, hints of spice and a rich plume... a dignified stick for the money. My rate: 88
Rocky Patel's Edge Lite is genius....sheer genius! A perfect balance of complexity and smoothness creates one of those "WOW!" cigars you hear people talk about. The Edge Lite is possibly one of the best cigars out there on the market, and I can see all types of cigar smokers smiling when they light one of these babies up! Did I mention Rocky Patel is a genius?
An excellent smoke (Edge Lite by Rocky Patel). Rich and complex flavor that satisfies, yet still smooth. Great aroma. Construction that is second to none. This smoke is the real deal.
These are fantastic (Edge Lite by Rocky Patel), and I prefer maduros. EL give you bursts of sweetness troughout and an elegant aroma for all your friends to admire. A great smoke for maduro fans looking for an occasional change of pace IMHO. Any chance they may be available in smaller quantities? NB
Quite possibly the 'perfect' every day cigar (Edge Lite by Rocky Patel). Equally good any time of day with a coffee, an iced tea, or a good bourbon in the evening. RP makes great cigars but this one is his best all-around, must-have, humidor staple!
